Store is always clean and organized. Staff is always helpful and greets you.

It's a hit or miss....sometimes you get the items your looking for, sometimes not. It goes with the staff as well. Sometimes you'll get a very thoughtful and helpful associate, and sometimes you get non-helpful to rude associates. Kind of a coin flip.

Can I give it no stars >< This store is absolutely the worst. Never has stock and the customer service is so pathetically bad! Head office needs to take over this store and fire all the management.

I would certainly return to this store, but good idea to teach some young hires how to conduct themselves in a personable manner. My sales cashier: Dayana was remarkably not interested in her willingness to simply ask how one's day is going at check out or even say have a nice day when finishing a purchase. This sales rep was obviously not taught how to approach people respectfully with simple courtesies. From the beginning, when I asked where I could find a cart, she just pointed out that there was one in front of me at a parking stall. No can I help you with a smile - knowing I was looking for assistance. When checking out my items, she slowed down her barcoding some of my items to listen to her colleagues who were on break while they were gossiping about others.

Friendly and helpful workers, shelves well stocked.

Wiser Home Depot I’ve ever been to across this great country..... nothing in the shelf’s is organized or clean, Everything is an unorganized mess, the employees can’t be bothered to assist customers because they are to busy talking to each other and once you finally get their attention the entent of the help I recieved was them staring at the shelf’s saying they don’t see it and can’t help me.... no one at the registers is directing customers or cleaning the self check out terminals after use. Altogether a terrible example of how a store like Home Depot should operate

The customer service is one of the worst I experienced. The materials I needed were out of stock within reach but were stocked on the top tier, requiring a forklift to obtain them. Over the span of one hour, I asked 4 workers to find someone to assist me to get them and each and every time, I got the same response, "I'll go get someone to help you out." No one ever came back over the span of that hour. While waiting, I've seen two forklifts drive by so I went up to the workers and requested assistance and both said they would come back but never did. I specifically rented a truck to get materials for my project and in the end, I couldn't get what I needed because of the complete lack of customer service. I was so frustrated and in rush of time to return my truck I ended up leaving without getting what was needed. Can someone give an appropriate explanation of why there was such a lack of customer service despite being adequately staffed in the store?

Had a bad experience with a return cashier today - very rude.

i want to give credit to Fely who helped me and gave me an incredible shopping experience, in and out a huge hardware store with thousands of dollar purchase in literally 10mins, and did i mention that before i come to this location i was at another location trying to get help for over 30mins and not a single qs was answered. speechless and helpless!! day and night experience.

Overall my experience was ok. However, Marcel (or Mariel), one of the Behr paint reps should not be working there. He has absolutely no customer service skills. [I am a retired Customer Service supervisor ] He encountered an obvious friend of his and began talking with him. A customer approached him and asked for his help. He left his friend and assisted him. I walked to where he was and asked if I might ask him a question when he finished. He said ok, but instead went back to talking to his friend. When I asked him again, he turned to me and rudely said that he had been helping his friend when the other customer interrupted him. I had been there awhile and heard their conversation. It clearly was not work related. My son became upset but before the situation could escalate, the young woman also working in the dept. stepped in to assist. Marcel should not be an employee of the Home Depot. He is rude and negatively impacts the image of the Home Depot.

I have dreaded coming to the San Leandro store because staff has always been lazy and completely lacked knowledge of product. This experience was completely different from the plumbing staff "Shell" and the cashier, I felt like I was in a completely different store. I'm not sure if they have new management, but everyone was helpful. Shell helped me look for an item not normally stocked. He memorized all his SKUs and then found item in end cap as special order. He helped me open up to check mirror and suggested I take out when loading in car. Cashier was great and helped me with cancelling an online order at pro desk. I hope this is not a one off but employees like Shell should be the model for other employees.

The cashier is being disrespect to the customers even the cashier is almost ready to check out!!!

HD is always up to Par, and beyond. The team, store manager, and all are very helpful and knowledgeable. I know, I have asked many an employee to guide me on things, and I am always happy with the energy and help.

I purchased the product that i want.

Good place to get COVID-19. I went in today and of course the lines were long but that's not the issue. The store is not enforcing social distancing, there's no hand sanitizer anywhere. Multiple employees wearing masks with their noses exposed, standing too close to customers and to each other. Using the self checkout line required touching everything: scanning gun, screen, pin pad. Nothing was sanitized in between uses and employees were touching everything without using hand sanitizer. It was a terrible execution of sanitation practices. I won't be going back to that location until they get it together.

The Tool Rental Department is one of the best I ever experienced. I wished all the Home Depot Rental Departments were all like this.

This store is racially profiling Asian/Americans. Return cashier put on rubber gloves when helping me, an Asian/American, and not the previous customer. Why?

Helpful employees. If you have a problem, they offer and provide assistance.

This store is so-so. It's the dirtiest of any home depot I've been to. Also, it's hard to find good help.

It's just one of the better home depot locations in general and the customer service is great, it's an easy store to navigate as well.
