This store is heading down hill quickly, with each passing day it gets worse. No inventory on the floor for customers to reach. If there is inventory, you have to find (if you can) an employee to help you, then wait 45 minutes to an hour for the employee to get the product down from the overhead, because the night crew doesn't know how to do their job. The manager in this store needs to wake up, hop down from the pedestal he is on and manage his store properly. He needs to make sure the floor is stocked adequately and give his employees a morale boost. I have never seen such a sad lot of people, they all seem to hate being there.

Good luck getting anyone to help you. Sometimes a woman needs a hand loading cement bags and piers into her truck. Twice now the guys outside the lumber department completely disappeared or had other things to do. Associates wandering through the store will not make eye contact perhaps in fear of having to do something.

This is the worst Home Depot I Have ever been in,except maybe Brooklyn NY Placerville store is small,badly stocked,poor customer service,dirty and just a poorly run store. I have had many problems at this store.

Overall the store is great !! However, if you live in one or two select zip codes it is not possible to get home delivery for appliances due to the delivery contractor refusing to deliver to our zip code. It is interesting to note that appliances can be delivered to zip codes that require the delivery contractor to pass through our zip code. We wanted to buy a new refrigerator...can't deliver it. Went to a major competitor (has blue trim on their store) that was 30 miles away...had free delivery in 2 days. Want to buy a new kitchen range...still can't get delivery from our home town Home Depot...will probably go to the competitor again. Other than that ridiculous problem, this Home Depot is a valuable asset up here in the foothills and we shop there a lot. The only thing it needs for someone up the management chain to review the delivery contract and actually visit the banned zip codes. It should me noted we have a paved road all the way to our driveway. I mentioned the problem on a local social media group last year and found there are a lot of people taking appliance business elsewhere because they couldn't get delivery. Store is losing a lot of sales. It is also interesting to note that the store (not the appliance delivery service) can and will deliver almost any building material order to our area. I should also mention that when I complained up the chain last year I was just referred back to the store manager. I had already spoken to the store manager and he was just as frustrated as I was. I received no other communication/solution from corporate management.

Everything under one roof. Handy to have in town.

This is the store to shop at where you feel like a family member. Wonderful, knowledgeable and helpful employees.

Poor customer service both in the paint section and the cashier that checked us out. The cashier (Christian 1085 00002 19485) was extremely rude during the whole interaction. He was not responding to us when we were speaking to him and refused to make eye contact. When we were confused about a coupon we brought with us he laughed at us and said that's not it works. He was also visibly upset that we had 2 orders in one cart totally in 6 items. We reported Christian's poor service to managemet. We are in the middle of a home improvement project and were planning on using this store to purchase all of our materials, after this experience we will be looking elsewhere.

The store was clean and my grand-daughters were loving the Halloween Spooky items!!

Staff is good when you can find them. Good luck! Phone staff is horrible. 30+ minutes hold times are common. I only shop there if I don't have time to go somewhere else. Please staff your store. It would make a HUGE difference.

Is it just me or what? Every time i go to ask for help #1 its hard to track down an employee that is not busy, or one that is willing to help. Usually I am told isle 7/8 ect. after going to the isle the product is not there? Ace hardware in Placerville is more then willing to help me find items and give helpful suggestions. I guess i need to stop going to Home Depot.

Our Home Depot in Placerville, CA is great. From the gardening section to the tool department I have found the employees to be extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. No matter how busy they are, they take the time to make sure you are satisfied. The store is clean and the products are well stocked and organized. We visit this store at least once a week and have always had a good experience.

Needs more people on the floor to help the costumer that are walking around looking for help.

The Home Depot in :Placerville, Ca. was a positive experience today. Nice greeter at at entrance to say hello and give direction to departments. We found exactly what we liked with the assistance of a helpful friendly employee.

Review deals with delivery of kitchen appliances. We purchased a range and microwave from the Placerville Home Depot and were informed that the first delivery date was more than five weeks out. We were disappointed, but agreed to the date. The day of promised delivery we received a call from the company Home Depot contracts with and were told that a driver had called in sick and that we would have to wait another nine days for delivery. We find this totally unacceptable as we will have waited 46 days from our purchase date to delivery. Certainly Home Depot can contract with a better company that will have backup drivers in case one driver calls in sick. To add to the frustration, the call back number provided by the delivery company does not have an option to speak to someone directly, when we were told was needed to confirm the delivery date. The delivery of home appliances purchased at Home Depot takes far too much time. We will not consider purchasing major appliances from Home Depot in the future. The sole reason this review is rated fair instead of poor was the good service we received from the in store personnel when researching and selecting the appliances and that when we contacted Home Depot directly (as the delivery company does not provide a number to speak to someone directly) they quickly contacted the delivery company and confirmed the new delivery date for us.

Terrible service purchasing a lawn tractor. Store refused to locate an assembled unit from another store.

The employees I dealt with were rude and incompetent . they were clueless to the stores sales and slow to help find the product I wanted, after bringing me the wrong product.

The employee's are always friendly and helpful, it's my home away from home!

If I need help, I have to hunt someone down to be told I don't work in this department. Sometimes I get someone knowledgeable or helpful. Having to return items I was told incorrectly for my home remodel takes a gap out of 2 days, 1 when I buy them another to return and get right item. I have been remodeling my home for 14 years & have a lot still to do!

I shop at Home Depot stores across the United States and I find both Great stores and Not So Great stores. Sadly I find the store in my own city to be one of the Not So Great ones. The store is clean and most associates are indeed friendly once you can find one to help you. Service Desk, Cashiers and Paint Department are always there and easily contacted as well as helpful. The other departments not so much. It is getting more difficult to find assistance without having to go to the service desk and request help then it seems to take an exceedingly long time for any one to show up where you are waiting. I also find that is exceedingly hard to determine the PRICE of items on the shelves as they can be misplaced or the Product and the shelf tag are hard to read at times having to get down on the floor to do so. If an associate arrives they may seem to know what they are talking about and recently I am getting incorrect information more frequently. Bringing a product back for a refund does not always solve the problem as to time and effort to install the item that you needed to fix a problem in the first place

MIke helped us in the Appliance department. Very quick and knowledgeable. Will go to see him again for future service.

The elderly man who greeted people was such a nice addition that this would be the ONLY reason I am taking the time to write a review. His smile and attention was just what I needed, especially after the almost rude, non-smiling older woman on the floor that seemed to think her stocking the shelf was much more important than answering my question, but, reluctantly did.

Friend employees but akways short staffed.

Pro desk was well stocked and they always make sure my order is ready when I arrive. I feel like a priority.
