My kitchen had an original 1955 plastic tile (not ceramic) back splash. They were hideous. Over the past 13 years, the tiles started falling off. I needed to replace them, but didn't want to fuss with ceramic or glass. I started searching online, and came across Smart Tiles. Based on the reviews here, and on other sites, I decided to order a box and give them a try. I am so happy I did!! They were so easy to install. I did the entire back splash in about 5 hours. Even though it’s possible to place the Smart Tiles over existing tile, that wasn’t an option in my case since some of the old tiles had already popped off. It took longer for me to prep my walls than to install the new tiles. And the job went a lot faster once I discovered I could cut them with ordinary scissors. Since I chose the Idaho pattern, I could cut out as many little squares as needed to fit around corners, the window, and behind the outlet cover. There wasn’t a lot of waste, either. I ordered more than I needed (I had 3 sheets leftover), and wish I had bought more so I could install some behind the stove. I just might order some more!!

Very easy to install. You can not see any seams when you install it according to the directions. The results were beautiful. I will buy these again in another pattern.

We had a granite counter top installed on Monday with an undermount sink. Tuesday morning I got up and started putting up my backsplash Smart Tiles. Tuesday afternoon, it was completed! Looks terrific and I even covered the dull beige marble of my 2 way fireplace. I used 58 of the 60 tiles I ordered.

I have bought the newer SmartTiles in the past (the kind with the overlapping seams). These tiles look great but since they have the "grout" on all sides, you end up with a wider grout line where the tiles connect. I trimmed a few mm off the end of one of the tiles which made the seams all nearly identical. Aside from this one aspect, I am very happy with the end result. I see why they changed the design. However, these were in the clearance section so even with the modification, they were a great buy.

Bought 12 to start with to get an idea of how they would they would look and how easy they would be to install. I was skeptical at first because of how thin they were, the adhesive didn't feel overly sticky. Once I started applying them I saw the genius behind them. I used a quilting cutting board and box cutter to trim to size. I was able to install the 12 in about a hour-hour and a half. I was able to pull the tile off to reposition easily. Make sure you overlap your grout lines and line up as much as possible so that the over all look is consistent. I worked from Right to left across the bottom and then started on the top row from right to left as well. Now I am waiting on the rest of the tiles to come in so I can finish it up! They really added character to my kitchen. The colors pop and the metalic nature of the Idaho tile reflects light just like a real glass tile. My dad was even impressed with the look and could barely find the seams. They may cost about as much as a real glass mosiac tile but when you don't have to buy the backer board, grout, mastic and wet saw, or have the clean up involved they are way more cost effective!

These are wonderful! They look like glass tiles, until you get really close and touch them. My husband installed these while I was at work. I almost cried when I came home and saw how beautiful they make the kitchen look. He said it took him about 4 hours, and a few small mistakes (but we have plenty of extras). I painted my kitchen right before Thanksgiving, and olive green accent wall, and cream color on the rest of the walls. The tiles are an amazing accent. I did apparently miscalculate the amount I needed because I now have a huge abundance left over. Hopefully we'll find someone to take the rest off of our hands.

Could not decide what to use as backsplash for cream colored kitchen cabinets and dark countertop, the Idaho was perfect, updated and brightened the room. Easy to put up.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the way the tiles look. In addition, installing the tiles were very easy.

I had remodeled the laundry room and increased the size and storage but had yet to do anything about a backsplash. I want something I could do myself without breaking the bank. These Smart Tiles were a perfect option. They added color and depth to the backsplash area and I did it all myself in one afternoon. I highly recommend this product.

We own a little old lake cottage and I was interested in giving the kitchen a facelift. I was amazed at the transformation. The installation was easier than I thought it would be. Very pleased!

We bought an old manufactured home ... tile isn't a good idea in those so I looked for other options and stumbled onto Smart Tiles. I really did think hard about this product .. after all it's not real tile :) But everything about this company is professional... right down to the shipping and packaging of the samples. My husband and I were dreading this project (esp my husband) ... but it was one of the easiest and rewarding things we've ever done. We love these things. I highly recommend them to anyone ... not only for manufactured homes... but to anyone who doesn't want to deal with the hardship of real tile. This stuff is beautiful and seems real durable. So happy we found Smart Tiles!

We needed a light tile for our travel trailer. These tiles are our backsplash in the kitchen are. Easy to use and they are beautiful. Get a lot of compliments!

These peel and stick tiles worked well for me. The color is true to what i saw in the picture.

This product is extremely user friendly and the finished project turned out very nice.

It was really easy to put up. I would recommend using a really sharp scissors or a box cutter, because I had a hard time with cutting it. Other than that, I really think it looks great!

Lines up super easy so installation is fast! Tiles have stayed up with no problem.

I am really glad Smart Tiles offers samples of their product. It has really helped me to see what the tile will look like in my space and helped me to make a decision.

These are a beautiful color and worked perfectly for our powder room. Easy to apply. We waited for fresh paint on the wall to cure three weeks and then put them in. Love them!

These are really great, hard to readjust once you put them on (because they do pull paint)

Good quality and lovely pattern and size

So far so good! I put these up in an afternoon. One of them had a defect with the clear coating and so I had to hide that one into a corner. I’m hopeful they stay up over time. They have completely transformed our bathroom and are just so beautiful. I’ve just used sharp new scissors and box knife and that’s all I’ve needed. Using the backing as a template has worked well. I can’t wait to put these in the kitchen next!

Easy Peasy … I could not ask for something any easier

They look great and were so easy to install, however the estimated needed was way off - we have too many! Better too many tiles than too few, but wish it had been closer to save some $
