I purchased this cooler two years ago through Home Depot. It is quiet; I like the two zone cooling; It is an attractive addition to my kitchen. However, this fall I found that there was water dripping from below the door which turned out to be condensation from the cooling coils. I contacted Whynter and Brittany (from their tech service group) suggested the condenser drain might be plugged. She told me how to check the drain, including photos showing the key steps. I followed her instructions and found the drain hole was indeed plugged with a thick residue which turned out to be dried red wine. Apparently one or more bottles had a leaking seal and the wine was caught in the condenser drain system where it evaporated leaving a thick mess. After cleaning, the system works like new. The leaking bottle was my problem and not Whynter's fault...But Brittany saved the day! I appreciate the manufacturer's support, even after the warrantee had expired.

This is the only dual zone wine cooler that would fit in our old trash compactor slot without modifying the slot. It is also cheaper than the "name brand" coolers. We also chose it because if there was a problem we would be backed by Home Depot instead of an internet site we had never purchased from. Shipping came via a 3rd party carrier who contacted us and coordinated drop-off times so it was a painless transaction. The cooler is working perfectly!!

As other reviews mentioned, we purchased this unit to place under our counter in our kitchen. Worked great at first, but suddenly just stopped cooling altogether after only 1 year of owning it. Still turns on, but both zones now display 75. Did some research and this seems like a reoccurring issue with this brand/unit with the compressor just going bad. The warranty is also useless as it's only valid for the first year. Very disappointing given the price we paid for this.

Had to replace our existing Whytner wine cooler which stopped working after 3 years with this new 28 bottle refrigerator. Seems to be working fine. We are hoping it last longer than the old one.

Exactly what I was looking for; love the dual zone and size of the chiller. Looks great in my coffee/wine station in the kitchen.

What a disappointment!! The temperatur will not get below 84 degres!! I was out for 10 days and just noticed it stopped cooling. I lost all my bottes of wine!!! I started looking for reviews and this seems to be a recurrent issue. Very poor quality!

We bought this fridge in March 2018 to replace a trash compactor, it was the only front venting one we could find with the same dimensions. At the time plenty of reviews stated they broke within a year or two but we really didn’t have another option. Jump ahead to August 2020 and I notice one night both zones said 78 degrees. Tried unplugging and plugging it back in, fan kicked in but no cooling. Checked warranty and only 1 year warranty... Come to find that your average appliance repair shop won’t touch these, your only option is to buy a new one or work with Whynter to have it freight shipped ($233... expensive) and for them to replace the compressor ($150). Maybe others have had theirs last a good many years but if you can find a better option that fits your needs go that route. Also as far as the unit goes, it’s just OK. The racks don’t pull out far enough to really be able to pull bottles out without lifting up the rack above. The dual zone is nice for reds and whites so that’s a plus. Generally just OK as far as wine fridges go.

Too noisy and too big. I returned this item and bought the Nutrichef instead which holds 15 bottles and is thermoelectric.

Nice looking unit. Shelving is not as smooth as you would expect. LED Lighting is a nice touch. Read the manual before setting up your unit. Enjoy your wine.

Never have been able to get the temp correct, but it looked so beautiful once we installed it, that we just lived with it. Now it doesn't appear to be cooling at all! Temp is showing at 86/87 degrees (not quite sure how that can be). Of course it is out of warranty now (been trying to reach customer support, but no luck so far), so not happy about having to replace this, but will certainly explore another brand.

This is our second unit. The first was nice, but it only lasted three years even with all the proper space allowances around the built in. I hope this second unit lasts longer because I really like the design.

Seems to work well but there are tow things that I'm not overly impressed by. First: getting bottles into the racks is more difficult that I imagined. The shelves do not seem to pull out quite far enough to comfortably get all the slots filled with bottles. You have to fiddle with it some and can finally get it done but it is not really smooth. Second: the compressor is a lot noisier that I expected.. Not so bad as to reject the unit but again, I expected it to be pretty quite.

Easy to install. Fairly quiet. Works beautifully!

Make sure you install BEFORE the countertop goes in - as it is tall & taking off legs was our only solution!Also -find it a bit loud but very attractive!

This wine cooler died after about 4 years. Seems that a $590 refrigerator should last longer than that. The mfg warranty is only one year. I would strongly urge you to avoid this brand.

This fridge is really pretty. I only wish the racks provided more room in between. It’s a little tight when trying to slip a bottle of wine onto the rack. Other than that, the design & overall look is very nice. My white wine stays nice & cold and my reds stay at their temp.

It seems to be a great product and keeps the wine at the desired temp. It fits perfectly where my old trash compactor was and used a lot more! The only issue I have is the drawers to do pull very far out. It holds a LOT of bottles of wine and looks great! Some people have talked about noise, but I never even hear the thing running. Built well.

I have only had this wine refrigerator for about a month but so far, it has exceeded my expectations! I love the dual zone and the size is perfect for an area that used to be a trash compactor.

This is a very nice unit and we like the two separate zones for a temperature. The temperatures are steady until you open the door. We also like the light above the layers of bottles. My only concern is that our first unit only lasted about three years, then was deemed unreparable. So 4 stars.

The only repair service they have is at their location in California. You have to package it in the original box and prepay shipping plus their service fees. This is more than the unit is worth. They say that the parts are unique to their units and not available to appliance repair services in other cities. My unit has failed and I will have to junk it and replace with another brand that offers local service.

The drawers were s bill upgrade. It installed with dimensions as expected.

Nice-looking, but the bottles are a little hard to pull out if it's very full because the drawers don't pull out far enough, and it turns on and off quite often. It only runs for about a minute when it runs, but it turns on quite often.

The refrigerator itself seems to work fine, but I don’t like the wire racks. I have lots of smaller dessert wine bottles and they fall through the rack. I am returning it for that reason.

Would not recommend. Although it is a beautiful product, there is no benefit to the dual zones and the temperature settings don't work as they should. Your upper section should be for your reds and warmer and the lower section for whites, so colder. Not so. Spent significant money to have it installed under the cabinet and now have to spend significant money to remove and return back to Home Depot. Whynter technical support is a joke.

This fits exactly right in our cabinents. standard dimensions 15" wide to replace out old trash compactor. the shelves are very nice with curved wood fronts. removable to place larger bottles. Keeps very cold. It hums on occasion but quiet for the most part.
