Only lasts one year
We bought this Whirlpool induction range just under 2 yrs ago for $1700.00. At a year and 3 months the main computer module board shorted out. It cost $800 to repair! Only a 1 yr warranty. Whirlpool will not make any exceptions. Their customer service is poor. Well we had a new module board installed and after 2 months the new one shorted out!!! Guess what, they don't have a parts warranty!!! It's going to cost another $800.00!!!!! Do not buy this range!!! Look at the other review about the computer shorting out, they all do this apparently.

    Love the induction
I have been using my induction stove for about 3 years now. I have cooked many meals in and on it. By far the best stove I have ever had. Will make gravy in less than 2 minutes. The on;y thing that I don’t like is the warming drawer. I tried keeping mashed potatoes warm in it and when I closed the warming drawer the bowl went in but the potatoes on top that were above the bowl stuck to the top of the drawer. Needless to say it was difficult to clean. I would have liked a white one but I was told that you didn’t make white ones. I found out later that you do. I have recommended this stove to just about everyone I know that is looking for a new one.

      Great range when it works
This range is amazing....when it works. Because it is induction it has a computer board under the cooktop surface instead of burners. This part breaks about once every 6 months and cannot be fixed. It must be replaced. We purchased the 5 year extended warranty and wow are we lucky we did. After the third time they replaced the same part it has not broken since. So maybe they fixed whatever the problem was with the faulty part. If you want to take a chance on this bad boy make sure you buy the extended warranty. And if they offer you another extension after it expires make sure you buy that too.

        They're buying it back
From the beginning (Feb 2015) beeped randomly, back burners wouldn't work and front burners would not work beyond level seven. Heat was shorting out the cooktop control, which sits right above oven door. After three attempts to fix (including a "kit" which means this is a design defect - those who were charged for the repair should complain), Whirlpool agreed to replace. Alleged factory backorder meant estimated delivery August 2015. Phoned to follow up - now it's some time in early 2016! They are buying it back, needless to say. If it worked it would be a slick appliance. Bummer is it's part of a "matched" new appliance set. So now the range won't match.

        Junk
I bought this unit as an upgrade when I bought my home in August of 2012. The over door handle has fallen off several times and now my heating element has completely gone out - after only 3 years!

              Great stove!
My husband bought this stove for me for Christmas. I have loved every bit of it. Water boils in 30 seconds. You can bake 3 trays of cookies at a time with the convection oven feature. The Auqua Clean feature is nice for cleaning tje oven. The one thing I did find out was even though a pan says it is induction compatible, it may not be. Make sure the pan has a flat bottom no divets. Took me 3 trys to finally find a set that works on the stove.

                Piece of Junk
I'd give it a negative number if they had one listed. Bought this stove in November. It is February 1 and the stove top doesn't work. Ask yourself do you want to depend on a company like this? It's Super Bowl Sunday, with a crowd coming over and no way of cooking all this food.

                  Great features
Love the induction top and bottom warming drawer the oven is awesome. This by far the best stove I have cooked on & baked with. When some thing boils over it is so easy to clean compared to my glass top.

                      Wife is happy
We've been using this for two weeks now. Wife is pleased with the results. We are new to induction cooking, but we haven't set off smoke detectors thus far. We are still in the move in phase to a new build so we haven't been able to thoroughly test all its features. So far no complaints.

                        Wonderful product
We are enjoying our new range. My mother in law has an induction cook top and highly recommended this style of cooking surface. It takes some getting use to cooking on it but the learning curve is worth it.

                          My new kitchen
I purchased 6 induction stoves in August. I am a culinary instructor and wanted to add new stoves that were fast and safe for my students to use. They have been used since September and are getting a good work out. My students love them because they are easy to use and easy to clean. I have 126 high school students and on parent night I placed a one dollar bill under the pot with water boiling in it and showed parents how safe they are. Every parent stated that they wanted one for their house.

                            Nice Range
This is our first really nice range and we love it. The induction feature is really nice. My wife couldn't stop showing people how quickly it boils water and how easy it is to clean! She would call people up to talk about it. The convection oven is terrific too. Nice even heating. This oven will beep at you for a number of different reasons...when you have something set on top of the controls, when it thinks the oven is empty and turned on, etc. Most of the time it is very helpful but a couple times it has insisted on beeping at me and no one (dealer included) could tell me why. Still, we love it.

                                Great features-One big drawback
This range has many outstanding features: Multisized burners, warming zone, warming drawer and large oven window for a few examples. I was, however, appalled when I discovered the 'self cleaning' does not mean self-cleaning. The AquaClean self-clean only cleaned part of the floor of the oven. In fact, it cleaned less that 20% of the interior surface! I spent 2 days scrubbing the rest of the bottom, sides and back of the oven. I would never have bought this range if I knew I was going to have to scrub most of the interior by hand.

Aqua Lift is a joke. Don' buy.
I bought this 10 months and didn't realize it is not self cleaning. Aqua Lift doesn't do anything. You will be doing all of the cleaning. If I could return it I would. Can't wait until I can replace it. I bought 4 Whirlpool appliances and they are all terrible.I would return all of them in a minute if I could.

                                    Wonderful cooking experience...horrible cleaning experience!
I love the induction stove, I love the convection oven BUT the "Aqualift Clean" is absolutely HORRIBLE!!!!!! I have own this appliance for 11 months and each time I clean it is harder and harder to get things to come off. My oven from 1992 was better because I could at least use Easyoff to help clean it (I was told that would void the warranty if use it in this oven). I would love it if a representative would contact me and make this right as I haven't even owned the stove for a year. Very disappointed with the half day job it is to clean the oven :(

                                      Great for the price
I've had this for a couple months now. This isn't going to be some top of the line induction stove, but it also costs far less than those models. My only real complaints are the touch screen on the stove top beeps at you if you set something on it, and when you're cooking things on high the buzzing can be a bit annoying. These are both super small rare annoyances to I am overall quite happy with it. This thing can boil water amazingly fast and has saved me a ton of time spent waiting for things to heat up on my old electric stove.Haven't used the oven much, but seems to work fine. No complaints there.

                                            love this stove!
We bought this about 6 months ago and I love it. The instant heat and reduction of heat is great, I haven't boiled anything over which is amazing for me! I also love the power boost that allows me to boil water faster than the microwave.

Aqua-lift self clean is a joke
We bought this in August 2012. I've tried the aqua lift self cleaner a few times, and it NEVER works. I end up resorting to old-fashioned elbow grease. The "rapid pre-heat" isn't very rapid at all....25 minutes to pre-heat to 425 degrees F. There's nothing rapid about that.

                                                Wife loves it.
Bought and installed it a couple of weeks ago. My wife is immediately a convert to the induction cooktop, and loves the high-capacity, three-shelf convection oven. She's also really pleased with the warming drawer, though I don't think we've used it yet.We worried about reports of induction "buzzing" with cookware, and when we first put a pot of water on to boil (to see how quickly it would boil. Answer: very quickly), we heard the pot buzzing a bit, but it hasn't bothered us at all when actually cooking. When we first turned on the oven, we got a bit of odor as initial coatings burned off. We decided to run a cleaning cycle before cooking any food, and that cleared it up immediately. The only issues we have are that the controls do pick up fingerprints easily, and when we set metal pans on the stovetop controls, the stove begins beeping periodically at us (I think this is the "unrecognized touch" beep, but I haven't investigated further). Oh, and we can't use our cheap, nearly worn-out non-stick egg pans with the induction surface. We'll have to pick up a better non-stick pan for eggs.Love it, would buy again. One other note, it came with no cord or plug, just connections for either a 3- or 4-wire cord.

Love/Hate relationship with this VERY EXPENSIVE stove -- Induction stovetop is phenomenal; I adore how fast it heats up / cools down. AquaLift Self-Cleaning is a joke ... I wind up scrubbing like it was the 1950's. If they'd replace this useless new technology with the old "cremate the grease/dirt" self-clean I'd give this range 5 stars and not regret having spent so much money on an oven that will never be as clean as my old cheap one.

                                                    Love Induction cooking
I am so happy with the cooktop. I love induction cooking. The oven seems to cook just fine. My last oven cooked very hot and this one maybe a little cooler. So I have had to add a minute or two to recommended baking times. No big problem. I was little disappointed in a couple of areas. The area around the cooking surface is black and I know this is a minor thing except all of our other new whirlpool appliances have gray sides or accents so this is really the only black I have on the appliances. Again not major just odd. The other thing is the function buttons on the oven are not touch screen and you really have to push hard on the buttons. The cooktop has the touch screen so it's just odd and kinda cheap that they wouldn't have them the same. Induction ranges are quite expensive and whirlpool is among the lowest price so I guess these shortcuts are to be expected. The noises the cooktop make are different but I have not found them objectionable at all. It clicks and hums as the magnets heat up but it doesn't bother me. The one major thing I love is the temp control and also no more scraping the cooktop to keep it clean like our last range. Nothing gets burned to the surface. I accidentally left a sticker on the bottom of a new pan and added water and set it to boil to test it to make sure it worked on the top and I boiled the water for about 1minute and then removed the pot, poured out the water a noticed the sticker. It wasn't burned at all! It even peeled off easily. This was cool. So I would def buy again. I just would love to see some minor design changes.

If you are new to induction, download the owner's manual and read the care instructions to ensure you want to commit to this range top. It is beautifully sleet, no knobs. BUT, to keep it pristine, you can't drip even water on the top or it may burn it and stain Stirring big pots of food can easily grind against the top causing scratches no matter how careful you want to be. It is like having a new puppy to care for. And what is with keeping the oven door open 6 inches while broiling? I wanted to reduce heat radiating into the kitchen and broiling is a nightmare. Really looks great though.
