Perfect for when a dishwasher is located 1 or 2 (possibly 3) cabinets away from the sink. In our case there are two cabinets located between the dishwasher and the sink and it was hooked up with a rubber hose, but the rubber hose was slightly too short to allow the dishwasher to be pulled out while still connected to the hose. When I had to do a repair on the dishwasher I decided to replace it with a longer hose and chose this which is a perfect length. The end that connects to the dishwasher is barbed to go inside the rubber end on the waste hose supplied with the dishwasher, which should have a pipe clamp to ensure a secure leakproof connection. The other end of this hose has a rubber connector designed to attach to two different sizes of drain pipe connector on your garbage disposal or sink drain tailpiece. If connecting to the smaller 5/8” size connection then you can cut off the larger diameter part of the rubber connector to ensure the rubber connector is properly seated on the drain pipe, and of course secure it with a pipe clamp. My only reservation is that because tis pipe is ribbed, it will potentially collect food scraps from the dishwasher and the ribbing may also slow water flow which may over the long run affect dishwasher performance. So far however everything seems to be fine.

I don't know how people have had success with this product. I bought a standard whirlpool dishwasher (model #WDTA50SAKZ) which came with a drain tube, one end of which plugs into the dishwasher and the other end having a rubber adapter to tie into the disposal. The bare/ ribbed plastic end of this extender does not tie into the rubber adapter that's intended to go on the disposal, so there's no way to make it work. Had to order a one-piece 12-foot drain pipe from another site. Terrible product.

I purchased for my Whirlpool dishwasher model # WDF520PADM and it did fit and work. It was a true 12 feet long. It ended up being a little longer then I needed but you cannot cut it to make it shorter. I just put some extra in the bottom of the kitchen cabinet. The end of tubing does have a barb on it as it is supposed to but it not shown well in the product picture.

Was not needed returned to store tech did not give correct information when second tech came out installed with original hose but thank you for asking

I needed the longer length to reach the garbage disposal inlet. Works great, as expected.

This was ordered by me as requested by the first Home Depot man who was here to install my dishwasher. The installation was delayed until I received the longer drain hose. However, a longer drain hose was not needed. A longer water hose WAS needed. The next installer had one on his truck.

This hose was exactly what we were looking for! Also, fit our Maytag tall tub dishwasher. Thank you for having this part availible!

No problems at it all

Really needed the rubber connectors on both ends as this was replacing the 6' hose that came with the DW.

The extra length was perfect for my needs. Just wish it would have been in stock at the store.

The connections went on as they were supposed to, but I used hose clamps instead of the included clamps. It connected well and it hasn't leaked. The dishwasher had been run about four times since installation and no leaks. So far, so good!

frustrating Whirlpool doesn't send a longer hose with their dishwashers, but this one worked out for me!

Did the job !

Came in as expected - was able to attach one end of the 12' hose to the end of the existing 6' drain hose coming out of the dishwasher and the other end to the garbage disposal. The ship to store option came in within the stated time frame and pick up was super easy.

I’m not impressed with the fact that I have to figure out a way to connect it to the dishwasher because it doesn’t come with an adapter on both ends.

Part came in used and already cut to attched to the dishwasher. could not use. I end up having buy a different type of hose and custom make it.
