So far so good. The fans give you ample amount of airflow and so far the remotes are working great. The look is beautiful and the sealed in light fixtures keep out dust which is a great feature. The only complaint I have is that they were not the easiest to install but I am hoping that that means that they will hold up. I have only had them for a couple weeks but I I’m hoping that they last a very long time.

Professionally installed. Looks good but problematic from the start. Fan and light have a mind of their own. Lights go on and off and fan shuts down on its own. Contacted Westinghouse support. Let's see what they do about it

The fan is great, good flow for a small fan like this. But the installation was something else. So many people to assemble. And the spaces are so tight, there are so many wires and control boxes to be put in very tight spaces. The instructions make it look easy, but it took my friend who is a professional about 5 hours to install and hook up this fan.

We bought this fan about 10 months ago, and I'm actually about to buy another one for another bedroom. The handyman said it went in easily. I like that it's got a distinctly modern feel. Runs quiet. Good light. What more could you want, right?

It looks great and works great!

After three years the remote control receiver stopped working but I was able to replace it with the universal remote control kit by Westinghouse for about $35. Hopefully this will help someone whose remote stopped as well. Installation was originally done by an electrician, so I saved myself the pain mentioned in the other reviews. The look and functioning of this model is fantastic for the price, so overall I am happy and would recommend it.

This is a very nice fan but it was kind of difficult to hang. It took my husband 3 and 1/2 hours to finally get it up. Really like it though.

The fan runs noiselessly and smoothly.

Do not buy! This fan is exceedingly difficult to install and impossible to ballance. It seems to lose balance every time the motor stops and the metal parts deform. The higher settings may be powerful, but I can never use them because the fan wobbles so much that I'm afraid that it will come out of the ceiling. Two summers worth of dealing with it is enough. I'm eating the cost and throwing this out. Piece of junk.

These fans are quiet, powerful, a very good price and really nice looking. I have replaced three ugly old fans in my home with these and I am very pleased with them. Using the remote from bed is a huge convenience.

Great fan for sons room

Poor instructions and no air flow that I could detect. I am returning unit!!

Good looking, fairly easy to install, looks and works great. Only reason gave 4 instead of 5 is that occasionally, not all the time I had just a bit of a ticking sound after using it for a week. I tightened the blades and no ticking last night. If the ticking doesn't come back it is a 5 star!

I bought one of these for 3 of my bedrooms. Easy to install and brought modern glamour to the rooms.

Great air movement. Difficult toinstall according to my girlfriend's father who is a retired certified electrician that owned his own successful business for thirty years plus.

very hard to install but looked great once we worked on the wiring for 2 days. initially we installed it and the remote didn't work at all so it was stuck on high speed. we had to take it apart to rewire it then it worked fine. part of the problem is that we didn't understand how to wire the fan to work with the remote so our inexperience was much of the problem. that's why it's still 4 stars even though it was very difficult for us non-electrician's to install.

Looks good, fan is quiet on all speeds. Only down side is the lighting. Not bright enough on high setting. Tried to replace bulbs with LED bulbs. They flash on high setting. I was told when I returned them they require a newer style dimmer switch than the one built into this fan/ lighting fixture. I'm now using the two 40 watt incandescent bulbs that came with the fan..

light kit plate was extremely difficult to get on. did not align very well and the cover was not deep enough making it difficult to push all the wires and connectors up into the cover.

Looks and works great. No surprises. Can be mounted as a ceiling hugger or with the drop rod. The light kit wiring harness must be installed/connected before it will work. The wireless receiver for the fan is tucked in to the mounting bracket cavity, no need to put it in to the electrical box, nor could you. The kit comes with three incandescent light bulbs which work fine, but I will consider changing those to LED. There is no pull chain. The fan can only be operated by the wireless remote, which comes with a wall mount holder. The wireless remote requires a 9-volt battery which is included. I mounted the fan with the drop rod, over a bed and the air movement is good. The fan blades have a light color on one side and a dark color on the other side. The light globe cover is made of glass.

It sure is a good looking fan! I had an electrician install it (because I wanted it done right the first time...I've learned over the years that I'm not an electrician.) As others have mentioned already and as my electrician told me, "It was interesting to put together." Since I didn't build it, I can't speak with any authority, but he did say that assembly was non-standard. Even putting on the blades was...not normal. But it works just fine! I don't think it came with LED bulbs, but regular ones. The only negative (and it may have been mentioned already), but there seems to be a delay for the lights to kick on after flipping the switch. Like a full second delay. It *could* be the bulbs; I'll find out tonight, I guess. Otherwise, it's very nice in the room. Quiet, too. Since it's dead of winter, I can't speak as to its effectiveness. :)

This is a sharp looking fan, it looked great in the bedroom, however it made an irritating noise even on the lowest setting. I had it professionally installed, they took it down checked all the parts & reinstalled a few times without any resolution to the noise. Sadly I returned the fan , out the cost of installation .

Cheaply made. Noisy. Wires and remote receiver barely fit inside housing causing the thin metal to distort . This affects alignment of screws and clearances. Rubbing noise makes you crazy. Do not recommend this item. We returned ours and purchased a Hunter. Very similar white, four blade, 44 inch with led bulbs, remote, reversible for $150 from Home Depot.

The fan looks nice and gives a nice breeze in my small guest room. However, my handyman, who has installed many fans, struggled a long time with the wiring on this one. Apparently, there is an "extra" wire that is not accounted for anywhere in the installation instructions. Also, whereas the old fan in the same room could be operated with separate switches for light and fan, this one will only connect to one switch, which turns on the whole system. The remote can then be used to choose or turn off the fan v the light or vice versa. I'm OK with that, just wish the other wall switch could do "something" elsewhere in the room! The overall appearance is simple and unobtrusive, which is just what I wanted in this small room.

I just finished installing fan. I've installed a number of fans in an hour or two but this was a four hour job. Usual shortcomings of Chinese products and assembly instructions. Needed 18" downrod but Home Depot rod doesn't quite fit this fan. Needed to bush up the 3/4" rod ends for a vibration-free fit. Set screws needed to be redrilled and tapped to fit. Instructions said to skip steps for flush and short-rod assembly for long downrod installations but, at end of those instructions, it didn't say to go back and pick up the skipped steps. Finding extra parts caused me to go back. Instructions do not say to connect all ground wires together so you either figure that yourself or you have dangling wires. Ceiling canopy cover is not quite drilled to mate the mounting bracket so this assembly requires some sweating, grunting, and swearing. Lots of wire needs to be stuffed under this canopy cover. When finished, I fired it up and everything worked. It is quiet. Let's hope that it lasts and doesn't fall on anyone's head. Two 40W incandescent candelabra base bulbs supplied is not much light. Fan is replacing a chandelier with 6 60W bulbs so I'll hunt for two energy saving candelabra bulbs with more light output.

The fan looked good and we got it installed fine after a few attempts. However, after two years, it stopped working. The electrician said that the receiver inside the fan was likely broken. I am going to have to replace it, pay for the electrician, and pay for a new install. This fan was not worth it.
