Had it shipped to my cabin in the Redwoods. The UPS driver was glad I was around to help him unload it. This thing is heavy! It was packed well to prevent damage in shipping. All you have to do is put on the wheels, easy. You'll want to elevate it for easier use. I placed it on a 3/4" piece of plywood on two saw horses. Works great. We have a lot of fallen trees around so I was splitting 12" to 14" in diameter pieces with no problem. Only a couple of times it did not look as if it were powerful enough to split the real big pieces, so I just stopped, flipped the piece over and it split perfectly. WEN only recommends 10" max in diameter and it easily handles that. I would definetly recommend this splitter for home owner use but not commercial.

So far so good. I've only used it for one rack, but it is doing as advertised. If I have used it more and it operates the same I would probably say 5 stars........especially for the price

Purchased for my 85 year old father. He loves it! It is placed on back of pickup truck, so he doesn’t have to bend over. Even my 20 yr old niece liked it.

Nice little splitter. Very easy to use and doesn't take up much space to store by standing it up like a handcart. My only minor issue is that the nuts used to hold the wheels on the axle must be tightened just right. Too tight and the wheels won't turn. Too loose and the nut falls off.

Arrived on schedule from Ontario, CA. I live in Michigan, USA. We read directions two - three times before even turning it on. It lasted for 15 minutes with no issue. Then, the ram retracted very slowly. Called customer service, they said it might need even more hydraulic fluid. Trip to the hardware store, added more fluid. Worked correctly for three log splits. Ram refused to move. We call customer service, who tells us we have 30 days to return to Home Depot. We do so that afternoon. Home Depot was great in Traverse City, Michigan. We bought another log splitter there, the 5 ton Homelite model. Worked like magic! Our wood pile is tall and full now.

Worked great until start splitting 1/4 logs of seasoned white oak (stored for more than a year). After splitting almost a 1/4 of a cord, the hydraulic system broke. I had to get a replacement (great return policy) to finish the job. Yes I’ll recommend this tool for soft wood and “green” hard wood

Bought it for two of my sons that live in cold country and they appear to be very happy with it. It saves time and extra hard work.

Lighter weight materials make me wonder how long this will last, but so far it works fine.

I can’t rate this product as I purchased one for my son in Montana and one for another son in Idaho.

So far so good, it has worked great. It split some logs I did not think it would and did not split some logs I thought it should have. Overall I am happy with it. I set it up on a stand so I can work standing up and that makes it better for me. Only time will tell how durable it will be.

False advertising this thing won't cut through a rwig

Delivered on time. Very easy wheel assembly (took only 5 minutes). What is a common flaw with all these electric moldels is that they are designed to be operated at ground level. Very difficult to bend over every time to split a log. These units weigh about 100 lbs so you really can not lift them onto a table. My solution is to use my pickup ATV loading ramp. Then role the unit up to the bed of the truck and do the log spliiting on my tailgait.

Worked great for about a cord of wood. Now it wont split anything? I'm recommending this splitter because it worked great initially. Will return for a new one hoping that malfunction was a isolated one.

This splitter handled almost everything I threw at it. One concern, I'm not sure the ram that pushes the log into the wedge is made out of thick enough stock. Time will tell.

All was great until I tried to use it. I bought because reviews said it would even split oversized logs. One guy showed his video doing that. Unfortunately the one I got only split 1 undersized log out of about a dz I attempted. Consequently I did return it. I really, really wanted it to work.

I like the wen 6 ton 15 amp electric log splitter, it do the job.

Splitter delivered in excellent condition and well packaged. I attached the wheels and the unit was ready to split wood. I have 30 cords of pine to split and unit is working as advertised. My only complaint is the 2 hand operation which makes for an almost unsafe operation for odd shaped pieces.

Weld broke on first one after the third log return and got a replacement and this one came with no fluid in it called wen told them what happen they told me they would call me back took all my info it's been a week and no reponce wow not impressed at all

The log splitter was well worth the price.It saved me from the old way of splitting wood, the maul and wedge. It is a joy to use.

I didn't like having to use 2 hands to operate 1 the motor button and 2 the ram lever. this was to awkward to use and did not go through a small piece of knotted wood. I was disappointed in this splitter.

I was very happy with the quick delivery and the quality of this log splitter. It works great and is very easy to use!
