I am satisfied with this fan used it for my dryer vent and have not had any issues with it other then the occasional vibration noise. Hooked it in with a relay so it is not on all the time, just wish it was a little more quiet. But over all functions as needed.

I bought this fan based on reviews that said it was quiet, which is also explained in the item description. I also installed a muffler, which quieted the air flow, but the fan itself makes a low hum that can be heard easily throughout my room. I tried to isolate it from the ceiling joist to which it was mounted, at which point a vibration could be felt, but it only helped some to suspend it. My application is for ventilation in a recording studio, I have a mini split system for heating and cooling, and have a separate ventilation system to bring in fresh air. I'll be searching for a quieter fan, which will certainly cost twice as much if not more.

I own several cats, don't judge, and I used this fan over the litter box to draw the fumes outside. Walk into my home now and you can't smell 'a' cat much less 'a lot' of cats.

Great solution for bathroom exhaust fan. I was able to remotely mount it in the attic for sound control. I did this because my original fan was mounted in the wall at the top of the cathedral ceiling.

We installed this fan to help exhaust excess humidity. It has performed well and we are highly satisfied with the product.

This well designed fan allows you to pull out the fan without disturbing the pipe connections. The only drawback is the buckle on the clamps that hold the fan in place. If you don't seat the buckle properly and try to close the clamp, it will break. It's as if the company knows this since they give you two extra clamps. Otherwise, great fan...quiet, easy to install, comes with a power cord already installed, and two flow settings controlled by a mechanical switch. Probably, a bit more expensive than other in-line fans, but the quality and quiet operation are worth the premium. I have two fans installed.

Got this for when I am staining in the basement - works like a champ and I'm out of the dog house with the wife because the odors are being pulled outside and not drifting upstairs gassing her out. It's very quiet - even with the 2 speeds.

I'm impressed with the quality and low noise of this fan. I haven't finished installing it yet so I didn't give it a 5 star review. I'm hoping that it is as quiet installed as it is uninstalled. Any possible noise increase would likely be due to resonance from the joists and wallboard not the fan itself.

easy install, smart design allowing for removal of the fan for cleaning without having to disassemble ducting. very quiet and moves air pretty well.

Mounting brackets are a bit cheap, but it comes with a spare set of those and the fan works great which is the important part. Used in 3x3 grow tent, moves enough air to suck the walls in even with a 4" passive intake open on the side of the tent.

This fan is so much better than the 4" metal In-Line Duct Fans with Cord. This one can easily be removed for cleaning and comes with a nice mounting system. It is quiet and has two speeds. I connected it 4" metal duct work to create a vent for a shop area. They even give you extra mounting straps. The only thing is the directions show a slightly different designed strap than what was included but it was easy to figure out. It has been installed for about 30 days so far.

I am using this duct fan to bring in outside air to my power vented water heater, which is located in a confined space. It comes on and off with the water heater. It works great.

This is a nice product, quiet, but it did not meet my needs in a specific application; I needed more air flow, although the fan did produce it's rated flow rate when measured on the bench. HD allowed me to return the item HOWEVER, information provided with the fan made a strange and incorrect claim. The information stated that the fan would automatically increase it's speed and thereby increase the flow rate when there was a restriction (like a long duct length) reducing the normal flow. No, the fan speed increases because it is moving less air. All fans will increase RPM when the flow is restricted, but not because they are increasing RPM in order to move more air!

Used this fan in place of noisey exhaust fan....remote location, 2 speed strong blower....I'm an hvac guy and love inline fans for sound reduction and good air flow!!

I used the fan to vent a studio and it seems to work very well. It easily mounts to the wall and plugs into a nearby grounded outlet. The fan design made the project as easy as it could have been.

I ordered this product for an in-line bath exhaust. Sadly, I ordered a 4 inch duct size and discovered that I needed a 6 inch duct size. My mistake! Home Depot kindly allowed me to return the fan with a full refund. This is a quality built product and very quite running.

Works great for ventilating my boat bilge to keep moisture from mildewing and mold.

The Exhaust fan is very easy to install. I ordered it with a receptacle plug. VERY quiet and affordable. I will be purchasing 2 more later to replace 2 other inferior fans.

It's a great little fan. Quiet. I was trying to use it as a bathroom exhaust fan. I mounted it 3' away from the bathroom and it had another 13' before it vented outside. Sad to say, this little fan couldn't push air that far. But, It was decently powerful sitting on the ground with your hand next to it.

Much easier to install than a regular bathroom vent. Once I had a plan and tools gathered, entire job was done in less than one hour for the fan, flex ducts and both inside and outside vent plates. Spare mounting parts included - I do not know why. Fan operates quietly. Two speed - no vibration.

I've installed hundreds of fans. Pro's: This one installed very easily. $60 ! Con's: Although there where no visible signs of defect, the unit I purchased had a wobble to it that caused it to be well over 2.2 sonse.(based on my experience only. I have no way to test for sonse) My customer was not concerned with it, so I did not get a chance to see if a replacement would be better.

I would purchase this fan again if need be. Fast service from HD.
