I was searching for a nice security screen door for the main entrance of my house. I had gone through two other doors. The wind here is BAD. It trashed two cheaper doors, bending the "heavy duty" closers. I bought this door because it was one of the heaviest on the market without going cast iron, and much more expensive. I had no problem mounting the door. It fits perfectly in the space I had, and has some nice heavy lag screws. They are one way screws, so once you start putting them in, you need to go all the way in... Make sure you pre-drill the holes so you can get them in easier. Also, you might want to dremel the paint out of where the screwdriver needs to meet the steel to turn them. The thick paint does get in the way. I was going to re-paint the door a different color anyway. The door is VERY secure. When I close it, it sounds like a bank vault. I had to remove the pre-installed weather stripping, which was a PITA. I did so because I was repainting it another color. I bought some new low density foam weather strip to replace it. Don't buy high density or your door won't close! I placed my burglar alarm on the inside bottom of the door, and bought a good quality deadbolt with keyholes on both interior and exterior, that way I can deadbolt it at night and leave the front door wide open to ventlate the house without worrying about intruders. This door is WELL worth the money. One bad thing is it is only available with screen or glass. I had to buy the glass seperately. The screens are also welded steel framed, and very heavy duty. Not cheap aluminum. The windows are heavy duty, and also welded steel. It is a very good door, and I highly recommend it.
