They are sturdy and I like that I can lock them and have the front door open. They are a bit loud when closing them, especially if someone comes home late, but we figured out that if you turn the handle, close it, then quietly turn the handle to close it's not as loud. We have had it a couple of weeks and really like the look and especially extra security.

I had this set of doors for only three years, see the enclosed pictures

The double security door arrive and I noted quite a few places where the paint chipped off. This was easily fixed since it was white paint and matched rustolium white enamel spray paint. I removed the edge mouldings from the siding and door jam noting there was a different elevation that would need to be corrected before installing the door so it would be a level surface for mounting. Compounding the problem was the two locking pins for the fixed side of the door. The is an upper and lower 1/2 inch pin that are made so the fixed side can be opened for cleaning or whatever. Problem being that the pin assembly for the top was higher than the top of the door which required a cut out for the door to fit properly. I needed to use a hacksaw to cut 1 inch off the pin for it to fit just right. When the upper pin is secured it is behind the bar assembly so it is very secure, however the lower pin does not have the bar to prevent it being pulled out so I drilled it through the door threshold (which did not get into wood meat because it is too close to the door), so I added a 1 inch cedar board below the door to hide the issue and give the door some security. It was a day long job but after spot painting the door (again) I am very happy with the product. Important to note... If you get white or black doors, paint shouldn't be a problem, matching the off colors may be. though.

I have had my own home repair business for 14 years now, been in the trades for 36 years total, I have installed a lot of items and in comparison, installing these doors was fairly easy, they are heavy so be prepared, If you are some what handy with tools and follow the instructions you should be fine installing these doors. This was my first time installing a security door set, the install went good, I had to trim off the 2 (3/16"X1/4" flat stock) tabs that were longer than the frame, they were catty-corner from each other and were in the way, the one on the bottom was in the way to install the door level as I installed a 2"X4"s to the face of the house as a kicker and to frame in the doors, other than that the install wasn't bad, the doors look great. I purchased 6= 3/16" X 2 1/2" lag bolts and used them to install and align the doors, after everything was done I switched out the lags (1 at a time) for the one way lag screws that came with the doors, i would highly recommend doing this as it will make adjusting door gaps much easier. I did notice that the powder coat finnish scratches off pretty easily, I had grabbed a can of touch up paint when I picked up the doors, Im glad I had the foresight getting the extra lag bolts and paint. This Security Door is a great addition to my house, looks good and easy to install. One door was warped and we did a weather strip quick fix. My brother and I are proud of our install work. Love It

There is always some trepidation when you order something very heavy online, and there's always that worry that your measurements are wrong. But these French security doors fit perfectly where they're supposed to go, and we think they're surprisingly attractive. We are very pleased with the result.

Excellent security door. I used a double and a single door from Unique designs to achieve a 3 panel patio security door. My installer had to make some modifications to achieve this configuration. It’s installed, looks beautiful and provides the security I was looking for. Definitely recommend this door.

This is a beautiful, well made product. The installation requires some handyman skills. Proper leveling and sizing critical. And don’t forget to order the big stop/ door seal kit. If you are installing double doors, you must order two of these kits.

I have all three sides perfectly square but the doors are misaligned by about a half inch. The semi-stationary door is not square with it's frame.

The door is good. The installation process with Home Depot was a nightmare. We order the door and installation online and the installation should not be an option per my local store. I persisted with Home Depot to help resolve but they kept adding on more charges. I canceled the installation.

Why did we wait so long to do this! Sure nice to be able to open up the doors to let the breeze in! No longer have to block the barking dogs when someone comes to the door. They look fantastic and we not hard to install. Nice doors.

Awesome security double screen door. Very happy with the purchase. Looks great on my front door. Very nice breeze when open in conjunction with other windows and doors in the home.

Absolutely love these screen doors. Costly, however, these were the only ones that had two different sizes for both sliding doors on the back patio with same design. Thank you Home Depot for carrying these. Also love the design.

bought in 2013 for 381.60, size 60" x 80", and this door more than doubled in price since then i see. i see newer purchases complain about the paint chipping and easily rusting. and that is true. the doors have help up good function wise in 5yrs, but they do rust too easy for my money. the copper color doesn't show it so readily but its there. HD professional install went well from what i recall. looking for another door now for another area, can't imagine what the install fee is now if the door has gone up in price so much.

Good door for the money. I installed 2 doors that access my walk-in basement for extra security. I did this in 2015 and they are holding up well except for the paint - rust is ‘running’ from where the paint has fallen off. I would paint them with a high quality spray paint if I could go back in time. Watch the video prior to install. Very helpful. And prop up the middle of the set where the 2 doors meet prior to installing the security screws. 4 stars because of the paint issue. Doors themselves are very solid for the money.
