You have to know what you're doing
This is an excellent product. It's too bad some diy'ers don't know how to properly install it and what materials to use with it. There are tricks professionals know and why they get paid for what they do. I have installed several and never had any problem with any of them. I'm happy, customer's happy. Granted, sometimes there may be a factory defect (which I've never experienced) in which case you can just return it. Otherwise, call a professional and save yourself a lot of aggravation.

Expensive, fool proof, but be careful
To start, it's a tad expensive for what you get; granted, getting all of the materials for a proper mortar bed likely isn't much cheaper.
Things to note: the manufacturer instructions call for a type N or S mortar to lay the pan on. I tried this, and unless you mix your mortar incredibly wet, you are going to end up with voids under the pan (which bends) inevitably causing your grout and/or tile to crack. After a first attempt, I ended up using a 1/2 inch thick bed of (wet) thin set instead - has been rock solid.
The epoxy thin set mix they provide is a little tricky, so either do all of the tiling all at once or measure half of the mix out to do it piece-by-piece.
Lastly, the drain is made of black PVC (which they label), but make sure to remember that as I nearly put ABS plastic on it.

Lacking Instructions for Novice installers
The Shower base I found to be very light and easy to install, although the instructions were lacking information when it came to the connection of plumbing, the opening I found non-standard PVC 21/4", there were no specifications I could find on the HD website for this model that gave me the plumbing connections to use.
The awesome on-line installation video was very helpful on placement/installation of this showerbase.

product has potential
For the price I was expecting a far superior product. It was flimsy and you should not follow the instructions. I had to lift out the pan twice to get a good solid setting. The flashing kit was as thin as a soda can and was absurdly over priced for what you get.

Do not buy this product
I just finished tearing the pan out today. the mortar does not bond with the underside of the pan, causing flex every time you step into the pan. any flex an grout will not hold. I did not do the research on this pan prior to purchase and if you do, you will find contractors complaining about the same issue. Keep away from this

This product is great for shower pan retrofits and remodels.
TileRedi has a great shower pan product for retrofits and remodels. Easy installation for less time and materials than traditional mortar bed shower pans makes this a go to product for me in my remodeling business. I will use this product again. They also have great customer support.

quite easy for a qualified contractor
Pan must be set in about two inches of mortar,Let this set for about 12-16 hours.Laying the tile on the pan must be layed with the epoxy in the white cardboard milk looking box and the clear bag mix the two. Use on your curb and floor.I do the floor and curb last so you do not drop mortar and tile on it

Installation instructions need revision
Being the first time, and probably the last, that I've installed a shower base I relied entirely on the instructions provided with the base. The instructions emphasize spreading the underlaying adhesive to ensure coverage of all base ribs. The adhesize is prepackaged and included with the base and I assumed that would be sufficient for the base I bought. Wrong! After preparing the adhesive and spreading it to cover the major ribs, I had only a thin layer left for the center portion of the base. That didn't work. The center needed more adhesive and I was left with an annoyingly squeeky base. More adhesive should be supplied with the base. For the customers sake, It's better to have too much adhesive than not enough. I would only recommend it to someone who is willing to make the added expense of buying more adhesive.

Buyer Beware
I installed the pan per the manufacturer instructions, using a mortar bed, and the pan is flexing under foot in 2 areas. I was extremely careful placing the mortar bed and moving it back and forth to set the fins. From reading (after the fact), this is a common problem, and will cause the grout to crack. I'm left with the option of pulling the pan up and starting over. 3 extra days of labor for this piece of junk. The telephone support was worthless, as apparently they are very concerned about litigation because they could not recommend any fix or alternative to the standard installation. On a blog, I read about using a latex fortified mortar, but the mfr. will not tell me if this will work or not? What a dissapointment, especially considering the steep price.

Absolute Garbage
DO NOT BUY one of these cheap shower pans. I ordered this model and thought it would arrive just as the spec sheet says. No, the 34" side is 33 5/8". This is a problem because I had already built my control wall so that my backerboard would be flush with the shower pan and I could tile straight across. Now I have a 3/8" gap. Second, the side walls are suppose to be 1/2" so that the backerboard in the shower stal mounts flush. Of course, the 48" side is 5/8", not 1/2". So what am I suppose to do to make it flush?? Shave off an 1/8" of the shower pan? The on a dry fit, I notice the 48" back wall is 1" off the stud. So I pull the pan out and put a straight edge up to the back, it's bowed in 3/4". Are you kidding me? For the kind of money paid for this, I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED and it will be going back.

Tile - not quite - Redi
I have yet to start tiling so, keep that in mind.
Basic install was a disaster. The problem is, it is extremely difficult to set a mortar base that will cure without any areas that slightly sink (even 1/4"). This results in a TileRedi pan that flexes in those spots when stepped on. Obviously, that is unacceptable do to the nature of tile. When a person steps on that spot - it will certainly crack. I eventually installed the TileRedi base without any mortar (my subfloor is level and is 1.5" thick so it's not a problem). Google search TileRedi and take a look at other reviews / stories. I'm not saying it's a bad product, but it is probably not a DIY job for most people.

Peace of mind!!
A minimal up front expense to give you peace of mind that the chance for water damage is reduced for years down the road by using this product. It's not like you remodel your bathroom on a regular basis. Why not use a product that high rise condos and hotels use to protect their investment.

For Ease of Use
Having this ready-made shower floor removed the difficult processes of measuring, sloping and hot mopping the floor as well as the trying to ensure that the seal layer is correctly in place.
Also, It was easy to install and easy to apply the tiles. The adhesive that was included was very sticky and effective.

Not as easy as it looks
Well, so far it looks good installed, BUT not so easy to install. Not for the average person to install. The premise is excellent since the other alternatives are not as long lasting. In other words, it should never fail. The epoxy required for the installation of tiles is almost impossible to work with, it dries extremely quickly. No room for error if your meticulous. You are also limited in your tile choice, can't use tile larger than 2x2 due to the contours in the pan.

not for installation on concrete floor
I purchased this product after watching the ease of use installation video. I installed it on a concrete floor with a fixed drain that I put in place after watching the video and installed following their instuctions. The instructions are great for floors where you can go underneath and do the plumbing after installation but not on a fixed concrete surface.
If you are installing it on a fixed concrete type floor without access to the plumbing beneath it, then beware! Even their technical support department didn't really have answers. Glue dries in about a minute and they advised me to let it (the tileready) settle into position after placing it on the mortor bed. Unfortunately, the glue dictates the installation process.
I may have to tear it back up and throw it away because they didn't tell me in advance to add an additional 1/2 inch of length to the drain.

Tile Ready
Great product and alternative to normal shower pan option. Easy to install, Tile go in well and looks like normal tile floor. Easy drain connection and adjusts well to tile height. Price is up there, but well worth it for the no leak guarantee.

FANTASTIC!
I wanted a bigger shower in my remodeled master bath, this was the only product I could find where you could tile the floor - other shower pans are enamel white or beige, with this product you can have matching tile throughout. The manufacturer has a really good installation video online as well. Install was super easy, just drop in some wet thinset and level off. The pan includes 3 part epoxy to hold the tiles to the pan floor, side walls and curb. Its kind of hard to measure the epoxy ingredients exactly, and I ran out with just doing the floor and had to buy more epoxy from TileRedi. The epoxy works great, the floor is solid! This is a great product! Expensive yes but it sure made my remodel go much easier than having a custom pan and curb installed. A+ on this one.
