sink stain
Imy husband got me this sink less than a year ago! I loved how deep it is. I keeped a mat in the sink so that I wouldn't make anymarks in it when washing anything that could scratch. After a few months I started notcing a mark around the drain like it had a stain. I sprayed it with bleach, it was still there. I even tried my stove top cleaner on it, nothing would take it out. Over the next few months, I noticed it was getting bigger! I emailed Thermocast, I had no paper work , nothing , not even a picture to send, Two weeks later I am the proud ower of a granite finished sink. No charge, nothing. The best part is a lifetime warrenty with no problems !

Excellent Choice
Talking about beautiful. This black sink was an excellent choice for my new kitchen. Goes great with my new granite counter tops and kicks off my black kitchen accessories. The extra large bowls are a must have and the lifetime warranty is an added bonus. Absolutely Perfect.

Cast Acrylic double bowl sink
II am extremely pleased with the quality and look forward to enjoying this for many years. I have learned recently that a way to keep the beautiful gloss that it has one can use WD40 for this purpose. Thanks for your service and free shipping.

Stll Like New
I installed this sink over a year ago, it gets daily use and it is still like new. We have had no problems with staining or scratching like others have mentioned. We are careful to use only non abraisive cleaners and, like with all other sinks we have had, we use rubber dish mats and a saddle mat to protect the surface.

We love our sink!
We really wanted a white sink, but our local store was out of white. We chose the biscuit instead, and are glad we did because it matches the countertop perfectly. This sink was a bit difficult to install because it has no clips to hold it to the countertop. It floated around on the countertop, with liberal amounts of silicone it finally stopped sliding. It is holding up well after about 6 months of use. We are pleased with it.

Pretty but seems weak
The finish of this sink is very pretty and it looks great against my granite countertops with white shutters above it, but it is made of fiberglass only and seems to be very weak. I am afraid to do dishes in the sink or leave a pan to soak in it for fear that it will crack. I had looked for a cast iron sink but they seem to be hard to find. Definately should have gone with stainless to feel more secure.

Unbeatable for the price
It's super deep and standard sized with standard holes, great sink to upgrade a shallow one. But it chips easily, scratches easily, and the shiny finish will go away if you bleach it. If you baby this sink, it'll be nice for a couple of years...
Big Big nono - my hubby sprayed oven cleaner on my sink, it ATE the finish down to the metal underneath. not pretty. So I'm getting a new one, but it'll cost $$$ because he wants to get the black one, and the holes aren't a standard width apart, so you have to get the plumbing kit too...

Acrylic sink is baaaaaaaaaad
It does not deserve one star but zero stars was not an option. In the description it says scratch resistent. HA. I have had one in my house for two years and it looks like a wolverine attacked it. There is only my wife and I in the house so its not like kids have been abusing the sink. It is a bad product. Looks great new but acrylic is only good for a shower or tub.

Excellent Sink with Style
This black sink provides a unique elegence to our kitchen. We were very pleased by the time we received the item and how easy it was to install. Another great feature is the deep of both sinks. Would recommend this sink to anyone.

Not a good investment!
I bought a Thermocast sink about 5 years ago. I wanted a white sink, preferably porcelain, so I did a lot of research before buying. I was impressed by the builders "awards" this sink had received, and liked the fact that it wasn't as heavy as a real porcelain sink. The price tag was tempting as well.
I've been regretting my decision ever since.
You're not supposed to use any abrasive cleansers on it. But everything scratches it, and there's no way to get rid of the black marks that pot & pans leave. I was so disgusted one night, I took some fine sandpaper to it, figuring I had nothing to lose. It actually helped file down the grooves of the scratches (I think this is basically a plastic sink) and I sat bleach in it all night.
Builders may like this - but they don't live in the houses they build! If you like a clean & sparkling sink, this isn't for you!

Beautiful sink, just had it installed and everyone who has seen it is so impressed. I was warned that it would be hard to keep clean looking because of the mineral content of our water, but it wipes clean with a dry cloth. Our old sink was cast iron and was badly chipped. We have also had a stainless steel sink and found that they dented and scratched, so we are hoping that this will prove to be more durable

Easy to install - the black finish is very nice. We have not used the sink very long so durability is yet to be determined.
