[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Floor shell works great. I will be remodeling a home and I really needed to use something like this. I wasn’t exapecting to receive so much. It came with a lot enough to do a big size bedroom. I can not wait to get finished. Great product.

Far from glamorous, but a GREAT protector
This product is a non-corrugated .05" thick cardboard material. There is nothing glamorous about it. However, it can be a lifesaver.
Whether you are working on your own home or a customer's, it is always better to be safe rather than sorry.
It doesn't matter if you are working on carpet, wood floors or ceramic floors, I implore you to take the time to cover it and protect it! Nothing will ruin your day quicker or kill the profits faster than unnecessary damage! So take the time to cover it.
The great thing about this product is it's durability. This works better than paper or plastic because it won't rip or tear.
On a side note....an additional use for this product. It can be used as a backer board behind the pictures in picture frames.

Solid protection for finished floors.
If you have ever scratched the floor with a ladder, causing more damage than the job was worth - you will love this stuff. Thick and tough enough to protect tile from a dropped screwdriver, yet cuts easily with a razor knife. A practical way to make a professional impression.

It does best what it claim to do.
This is one fine product. This protect thick and touch protect to the floor or carpet. as it is rolled, it was little hard to unpack since it is all rolled into one piece. however, it gives the maximum protection to the floor. Since it is heavy enough, it sticks to the floor closely. I put some water on this protector, and it repelled the water and gave enough time to clean it.

Best thing for protecting carpet
Floorshell resembles the cardboard you will find on the back of a writing table. It is easily cut with a utility knife, or you can even tear it by hand if you don't mind a rough edge. It's .05" thick.
It is excellent for use on carpet - better than drop clothes or builder's paper since it won't wrinkle or tear when walked on.
Water-based paint beads on the surface and can be easily wiped up. Danish oil soaked right in but not though to the backside.
I thought it might slip between the carpet and the baseboard for a tight seal to the wall, but in my case that tilted the floorshell upward, so butting it up against the baseboard was the best I could do.
It's durable enough to be reused, and it's nice that it can be recycled when you're finished with it.

Great floor protection
I've used this to protect my hardwood floors while remodeling. It's heavy duty and does a great job but because it's so thick and comes in a roll it has a strong tendency to curl up on the ends. I used painters tape to hold it down but sometimes it would pull that right off of the floor. So I rolled it up the opposite way and that helped. Very good as a perimeter protection when painting walls. It's a perfect width for that and water resistant.
