The pouches themselves seems to be made out good materials that will last. But the straps/loops on the belt are in the wrong places. They are right where I need to place the pouches. Also one of the pins has already tried to come one quick release clips that hold the pouches. Less than month old???

This is a high quality and useful set of tool bags and it has an extremely rugged,supportive, and comfortable padded belt. The nicest thing about the whole rig is that it's modular. I like having big bags and pockets when I'm framing, but when I'm doing finish work I like to take off the extra pouches and lighten things up. That being said, the way the pouches connect to the belt does make the rig bulky, so tight spaces are a challenge. The pouches themselves are very roomy and convenient. The drill holster is the best on the market, IMO.

These are tough and very versatile I really like the back support belt and how well built this system is. I bought the suspenders to with this really helps with weight distribution.

Now this is what a toolbelt is all about! Toughbuilts 6-layer construction and made of polyester, their belts and pouches is what stands up to there name. Toolbelts don't need to be made out of leather to be heavy duty. This is the most organized, effortless, adjustable and interchangeable toolbelt out there! With different pouches you can choose what fits you and your trade. This one is the contractor set which is a setup already put together with what they call the framers pouch, the contractors pouch and a separate tape measure pouch. It also comes with 3 clip-tech hubs to snap on your belt to carry your pouches. 4 d-ring straps are also included if you wanted to purchase the suspenders aswell. I mean this modular system is fantastic. You can carry what you need and when you need it. With clip-tech technology the pouches can click on and off and even provides a kickstand on there pouches to help if u need to get in tight spaces and more! - 36 pockets and loops, fits 32-48in. - 2 tape measure clips, speed square pocket Definitely satisfied with the contractor set up and will be buying more pouches and other Toughbuilt products to add to the collection! Contractor tool belt has a thick padded belt, quick-release clips, plenty of pouches, which can be removed/moved around the belt. Each pouch has multiple pockets of different depths to accommodate pencils, measuring tape, framing square, etc. Only negative would be is that the pouches don't pivot. For example, when squatting down with a hammer in the pouch, the hammer hits the floor and is slightly annoying. It would be better if it would pivot out of the way.

The concept of interchangeable pouches and other attachments (not included) is great. You can keep dedicated pouches for specific tasks without having to empty out nails, screws or tools in between. The rig is pretty good looking, very comfortable to wear and versatile with the wide variety of pouches and accessories that go with it. It is also well constructed and made of durable materials; even if damaged, a part can be easily replaced. For most people, it should last a lifetime. The pockets are large, maybe a little bulky and the cost of comfort and versatility is some extra weight. Also, the main pockets have a number of tool loops, but they are all about the same size, so some common tools don’t get a dedicated spot and kind of rattle around loose in a pouch.

I've finally decided after 20 years of buying cheap cloth tool belts with just 3 small openings for some nails and maybe a hammer that it was time I went a little more professional with my tool belts. When this one came in the mail I was blown away, this TOOL BELT is fantastic. Its made buy TOUGHBUILT and has what they call CLIPTECH, so you can put pouches on or take them off depending on the job your doing. The stitching is perfect, this is very well made. Contractor belt has 3 pouches, 2 tape measure clips, 36 pockets and loops,notebook pocket and room for more, everything you need for that big job and fits great, I love this tool belt, you will too !!!

This is a very nice tool belt. I've always used leather tool belts in the past but I find that this belt is much tougher than the leather ones. Hopefully, it will soften up with time and use. I'm giving this tool belt a three star rating because of the lack of instructions and/or guidance on how to remove and reattach the pockets. I worked the construction trades for almost fifty years so I know a thing or two about tool belts but I almost reached the point where I was going to get a hammer and break the attachment pieces so that I could remove the pockets from the belt. I'll use this around the house as I retired several years ago. It will come in handy when I put a new roof on the house next year. I'm also heavily involved with gardening during the warm months and it will come in handy. I received this product in exchange for an honest review, which I have provided. Don't fault me for the three star rating. The aggravation and frustration involved with removing the pockets, due to a lack of instructions, will cause many to give it a one star rating.

There are a lot of features on this belt. Multiple D-rings and removable pockets allow this belt to handle just about anything. The pockets come off easily with a clip and they are easy to adjust. There is a padded inner belt that closed with Velcro and an outer webbing belt that clips together with a plastic buckle. You can trim the webbing to customize the belt to your waist. It is comfortable ans does a good job distributing the weigh of the belt with all your tools, fasteners, and everything else you want to carry.

First Impressions: Extremely heavy duty, attractive color Usage: As I received this tool belt set, I was amazed at the ruggedness of the design. I was also surprised by the number of pockets, holders and clip points it contains. This is definitely a Hoss of a system. Let me first point out that there were no instructions available with the product or on their web site. This makes a few of the non-intuitive features a little difficult to comprehend, but I will explain these as I go. One begins with the basic belt design. It is made up of two pieces; the 3.5 inch wide pad behind the belt and the 2 inch belt and buckle itself. The padding is very good and comfortable, helping distribute the load. They have made the padding adjustable by a 9 inch zip-off section, should a person need less belt. However, the belt itself is adjustable by cutting off a section and installing a metal end-piece, as explained by an attached tag. I tested this by easily folding the extra padding under and tightening the belt to my size. After tucking the extra belt length into my jean pocket, I was good to go. I even sat down with the belt on for a while and found that it was comfortable enough, and more that one might expect. The belt has removable hook devices that clamp onto the belt wherever one desires and then allows the pockets/bags to be quickly clipped and un-clipped from it. I found that the yellow clamp handle was non-intuitive to use and required one to force it open by pulling outward on the handle. I was also surprised to learn that for all the effort required to take if loose, the clips could slide on the belt. I would have expected them to stay in place. It should be noted that the belt comes with four Velcro-attached D-rings from which to hang other things. Evidently one can position them as you choose. The two main bag/pocket units are full of sections and fastening points. Each has a very heavy-duty hammer loop. Both large inner pockets are approximately the same size, but one has two smaller outer pockets and one has one. That one is augmented by some screw-driver or handle-holding tubular pockets and some fabric loops. Each large unit has a metal tape measure clip-point mounted opposite to its respective hammer loop. Each large unit has the bigger pocket lined inside the front of it with eight fabric loops for screw-drivers and the like. There are plenty of pockets for screws, nails or other loose items, as well as an inner slot/pocket for a standard-sized speed square. Are there too many? Only you can say. What really sets these large units apart is that one can un-clip them from the belt, and tear open the Velcro fastened easel-type support on the back to make them stand up by themselves as a portable tool holder. Very cool. The set is somewhat handed-agnostic, but if one wishes a hammer loop to the rear of a pocket, the pockets go on specific sides. There is another small pocket that attaches by the same means as the other units. One should mention the weight issue. If one has all three pockets attached and filled, along with all loops hooked to tools, it would be very heavy. One would need to purchase the optional suspenders. But even then, I cannot imagine anyone doing that all day long. It is a nice system in that it allows a person to totally customize the tool hangers and pockets one needs in the position one desires on the belt. Quickly un-clip one pocket system and/or attach another as the job requires. Basically, this system is the largest “starter” system they offer. They also have a plethora of specialized pockets one can buy to substitute or add to the support system. Especially needed in this day and age is a holster/hanger for some sort of an electric driver, but that was missing in this set. But again, that is available in three styles as an added clip-on. Overall Thoughts: I have used various leather-based tool bag systems over the years. No matter what one gets, there is always something missing or one wishes was included. A modular rig like this ToughBuilt is very handy in allowing the workperson to customize a lot closer to one's ideal setup. Being a two-piece system, the belt alone is an advantage that some others do not have. And making it all out of lighter and longer-lasting materials is just the icing on the cake. These are not going to wear out any time soon; that's for sure.

I've been using a typical leather tool belt and pouch for many years. This tool belt surpasses my old one in every way. I've got a 32" waste line so I appreciated the size range and adjust-ability. The double fastening system (velcro and buckle) make the belt very secure. I haven't used them yet, but the included d-rings look to make using suspenders (as necessary) a cinch. The padding make it really comfortable even when loaded up. I've never used the clip system before, but its great for reconfiguring the belt for different uses and projects. It makes it really simple to swap out or reposition the various pouches depending on what I need to carry for a specific project. I like the small covered pouch which I find convenient for carrying fasteners without having to worry about them spilling out. The large pouches are actually large enough to fit my drill (which doesn't have a belt clip) as well as my drill kit and various hand tools. I also like the easel back feature for setting the pouch down in the work area without it tipping over. The materials are extremely durable and the whole system seems well designed and thought out.

Very impressed with this tool belt. It is very comfortable to wear and has a variety of options that make it super convenient and easy to use. The materials the belt is made up of are superior to many others on the market. I love how easy it is to remove a pouch or add a pouch. The pouches have a built in kickstand so its easy to stand them up when detached from the belt. Pockets are durable and hold items securely. Awesome belt!!!

On the plus side, the belt is really comfortable and provides good lumbar support and there are apparently a series of accessory bags available that might make this set customizable for a particular trade. They also apparently have a rail system so that you can take the bags from this belt and mount them to the wall of your garage. I suppose the theory is that you would equip different bags for different tasks and switch out the bags depending on the job you were going to do. Some marketing genius came up with this. I doubt there were any tradesmen involved in the design. The bags are well constructed so they probably will last a long time...but I doubt anyone who is serious about making a living with tools will want to wear these out on the job. They have lots of little extra plastic bits sewn on to...I don't know, look "cool" I guess. Great for superheros, kinda silly for serious craftsmen. They seem to be designed to handle the needs of all trades at once. There are lots of pockets, pouches and slots, but none of them seem to fit the common framing, finish carpentry tools or electrical tools I carry, and when you load it down, all the tools get in each other's way, or snag on other "features" of the bags and you end up spilling stuff everywhere. I tooled up with the kit for a framing job, framing hammer, a pouch each of 8d and 16d and a couple of clips of pneumatic nails, tape, speed square...not really any good place for the speed square, pencil, utility knife, nail set, beater chisel, linesman's pliers. Everything felt loose, like it was about to fall out, so I packed in a few other things to try to keep things from rattling around so much. There is no good place for a cell phone. It is awkward to pull your hammer out of either of the provided loops. There is not a secure place where you can easily reach your tape measure. Lots of little pockets, but none of them right for a nail set. Not a good place for a utility knife, chisel, flat bar, cat's paw or the aforementioned speed square. Bottom line is that these are big and made to carry lots of "stuff" but nothing in particular and consequently, they don't carry much very well. They look "cool", but they are not very utilitarian.
