The 70 GPH Small Total Fountain Pump # 52213, per HD web site, is actually an X-Small 65 GPH Pump per Packaging. It is the 4th replacement for my small fountain purchased in 2001. My last pump lasted 8-10 years. A lot to live up to. This pump's lift height is 1.5 ft, 5 watts/0.06 amps. My last pump had a more powerful lift and was 120v 60 Hz 0.05 amps. Lift height from bottom to head of my fountain is 22". At 2 days pump is quiet with a grounded plug & adequate fall @ highest flow. Cat is happy!

I repaired an old rain lamp using this pump. Voided the warranty as soon as I cut the wires and hard wired it to the lamp. Filled it with oil and it works PERFECTLY!

This little pump works great and is reasonably priced. Perfect for my fountain ⛲

Unreliable product. As previously reviewed, my pump started screeching soon. Inspection shows the impeller moved out of alignment, pushed against other plastic parts and wore down. Replacing takes time and effort. Fountain dis-/reassembly costs extra.

Ran a few hours, 60cm elevation; less than 6 months old; indoors, filtered water; looks new. Now when turned on it screeches super loud; randomly stops the noise a short while, then the siren's on again. Broke so soon? De-/reinstallation will cost me...

I purchased this little pump to make a small water feature for my patio. It's on the bottom of a galvanized steel tub that's about 10" deep with 9" of water, and it is powerful enough to keep the surface at a nice ripple, which is what I wanted to keep the mosquitoes away. If I wanted more of a fountain, I could put a hose on it or lift it off the bottom, but for me it's just right the way it is. It's been running 27/7 for about a week now, and I'm very happy with it.

Replaced original pump with this model which was a snap to install. Using included adaptor connected to the frog supply tube and the flow knob made it easy to adjust the amount of water flowing to the pond. Been installed for a month and working perfectly. The flow control would make it ideal for many pond's.

The pump did not fit inside the fountain. I bought extra tubing to extend. The pump shot 4 foot over the top of the fountain. I bought a valve to be able to adjust. Otherwise it works fine.

The pump works great, the enclosed instructions were omitting such details as to the size of tubing required for use. This detail made it more difficult to utilize the pump. I was however able to make a few adaptations to create my own fountain creation.

Produced a good flow for my fountain which needed to travel up by 2 feet to tip of tube flow.

Excellent pump! I purchased it or a used water feature, with an old pump attached. The only downside is my fault...because it's so powerful, I can hear the pump along with the cascading water. But in an appropriately sized pond or water feature, this shouldn't be an issue.

This pump works fantastic, it is more powerful than it looks. Utilizing the flow dial I was able to keep my fountain at the exact rate and height I needed. I have had it for several months now and I do not see it letting up anytime soon.

The way I have my pump set up, it only needs to push water about 18 inches above the level of base. This pump does push the water that far, but at an exceeding slow rate. I used 5/8" tubing throughout the installation in the hopes that it would put more pressure on the water, but it didn't. If you're looking for a pump with a lot of pressure behind it, then this is not the one you want. Spend a few more dollars and get the next level up.

Got this pump to replace the old one in the fountain in our yard. The pump functions as it should. No issues. Our fountain is about 6' tall so we needed a pump that could pump the water to that height. Works just fine!

This pump works great on my homemade fountain. It was easy to set up, install, and run. The pump sits in a 5-gallon Home Depot bucket inside the fountain. I have to hide the cord from the pump but so far it's working great.

I've had a fountain in my back yard in Texas for 8 years; over that time I have went through my share of pumps that can stand up to running 24 hours a day 365 days a year. From what I have found TotalPond makes the most durable solution. The 140 GPH fountain pump does a great job of constantly running, moving water and is easy to clean. (Just pull it out and spray it down with a strong spray of water, then once a year I like to take the guard off the front and make sure there is nothing in the impeller housing) I will also mention TotalPond does stand behind their products; a few years ago I had problems with a pump (the impeller shaft broke) and they were quick/responsive to help fix the problem.

Used this pump with 1/2" PVC tubing and 6 feet head and it pumped at the advertised rate. Not used in the typical application of a pond pump but it did make for a great circulation pump for a rain test setup...

I bought one of those cheap waterfall fountains, well if you call cheap over $100, but less than $150. LOL Anyway, I modified the Waterfall fountain so it could have the bowl {drilled out for water to pass in/out of the bowl under the water} to be partially submerged into my small round pound in my garden {see attached photo}. The original factory pump that came with the waterfall was very lame, barely got the water to the top of the fountain, so I was looking for a more powerful pump to get the water flowing and to be able to hear the waterfall sounds, water flowing and falling down each level into the pond. This pump fit the bill and has worked flawlessly in the fountain for many years now, with only having to do minor maintenance {cleaning gunk out of the intake and flow input areas} to the pump. It runs continuously 24 hours a day/7 days a week, and only off when any required cleaning is needed of the pump or the fountain/pond. Definitely worth the change over, the old factory pump was recycled to a smaller indoor fountain where it is now living it's life out in, also running 24/7 with the occasional cleaning. But this pump has been worth every cent I spent on it to replace the original that just couldn't do a proper job of flowing the water efficiently enough to the top of the waterfall fountain. This pump has a 3 prong grounded plug and is submersible, and the water flow{pressure} does an outstanding job with this particular Waterfall fountain.
