I bought this online from Home Dept in Nov 2019. This pump works well to clear gas from snow blower gas tanks, but it won't fit into either of my very common lawn mower tanks. That is the reason I gave the pump only an average rating. It would be fine for the job if all I were draining was the snow blower. My Craftsman (Briggs & Stratton) mowers have a designed protrusion in the tank throat (photo 1). While the pump inlet does fit the entrance diameter of the tank throat, it can't reach the bottom of the tank. The pump goes in only an inch or so before it bumps against the throat protrusion and cannot enter the tank completely (photo 2). There needs to be a cutout or notch on the side of the inlet casing which would allow the pump inlet to reach the bottom of the mower tank. There are notches in the pump casing design, but they serve no function that I can tell (photo 3). Ideally the notches should at least 3 inches long and extend to the end of the casing which would create the channel for the B&S designed throat protrusion to fit and allow the pump then to slide fully inside to the tank bottom.

This pump did exactly what I want. It took away tedious, end of season fuel transfers from one tank to another in fact EASILY. Labor saving device to say the least

It was so easy to use and it fills up my sprayer fast.

Feeding tube is rigid with no flexibility, that makes it hard to empty 5 gallon containers. Other than that minor issue, it works great

Pump works great. Moves fuel faster than I had thought. Shipping package was terrible. Pump was in 3 pieces. I snapped all back together and seems ok.

Absolutely! Your product does all it’s supposed to do. Shipping was easy and quick. It’s compact a powerful enough to drain our dinghy after a rain storm in two minutes flat.....

I put batteries in it and it worked OK when I tested it with water. It works best for starting a siphon, and the liquid level of the source is higher than the receiving tank. It will not pump uphill very far. But what do you expect from the tiny pump and batteries.

Works good had a leak where the hose connects took it apart and put some rtv no more leaks

This worked exactly as expected. It remains the best way to get gas into or out of a generator, car or pretty much anything that uses gasoline.

Works as exspected would buy again. Do wish the discharge hose was a little longer but no big deal.
