So much confusion in reviews/replies to questions about how this window is mounted, so let me reiterate here: IT OPENS AT THE TOP & EXTENDS INSIDE. Mine does not have the pictured holes in the nailing flange. Re: complaints that it opens 90 degrees, I want to recommend installing a set of cabinet door limiters, thin flexible cable with loops on the ends. Yes, this means screw holes, but if you use tin snips to slightly open one of the loops into a hook it can be unlatched. Overall: great window!

Having a couple rotten ranch windows in my garage I decided to steer away from wood. These windows were inexpensive, easy to install, fit well, look good and will last a long time.

Purchased 4 of these and the install directions from Tafco on Home Depot site do not recommend any rough opening requirements. Home Depot website description says these are a 46.25 X 21 in Window. They are not. Home Depot website says Rough Opening is 46.5 X 21.25. They are not. Invoiced attached to shipping cardboard box says they are 46.25 X 21in. They are not. For my run of 4 here are the dimensions should you use these windows: 1. Rough Opening: 45 7/8W X 20 3/4H. So if you are like me and created windows boxes based on 46.5 X 21.25 Rough Opening - you will need to lay in more material to make up the difference. 2. From Fin to Fin: 47.25 X 22 3. Fin width: just under .75” Other than that - they seem fine for a swing down window that is insulated and with a removable screen.

I studied carefully on what window would be best to vent my stick-built greenhouse in summer or winter, and THIS WINDOW's measurements and venting was PERFECT for venting the north side of the greenhouse (12x16) to let out hot air, or let in warm air in winter. I ordered two more for my second greenhouse, 10x10.

I bought 2 of these and they arrived 6 day's sooner than first told which was great. Glass was easy to take out so I could install from inside from 2nd floor. Window's open, close and latch smooth. Will have to see how they hold up through the seasons. I thought they were worth the price.

I am a licensed general contractor or who specializes in finishing attic space. I have put these windows in 2 houses now and both customers love them

I used these windows to provide ventilation under a double wide mobile home. They worked great.

Super dissapointed by the quality. I thought it was a crank window that is my fault but this window does not close air tight, the window is smallwr than the frame.

They’re fine. A cheap window - doesn’t seal very well, so best for a shop or shed project.

The window came exactly as described which is what I wanted. Two minor wiggles: First, it was very difficult to find the rough in dimensions. Several people including Tafco support personnel mentioned different numbers. So I could not do the framing until the window actually got there. Second the two locking handles don't stay closed. You have to add some tape or other friction material to get them to stay where they are supposed to be

Windows do not close tightly wind blows right through them. The latch’s are way too loose

The window is a perfect fit and adds a modern look to my home. I love that it adds natural light to the area where I have placed it.

The windows were just what I needed and was looking for in my garage. The double insulation will help retain the heat and the vinyl framing will keep them looking good and not rotting like wood. They fit great except for the 1/2" flange all around that I was not expecting. Easy work around to fix the framing on the window. Great price and product. If you are looking for these read all the sizing comments on the rating section because they explain a lot.

Got two for my garage and Winidow looks durable and works as should,although i think it was installed upside down but still alot better than the old ones. Shipping was super fast and came in one piece.
