I used this tie to strap down some duct in a wall and reduce the chances a nail goes into it. The ties are thin (~1/32") so they are great over studs.

I use them all the time for all kinds of projects. I have even used them along with Liquid Nails as strengthening strips on the inside of large garden ceramic bases....uses are endless!

I used this in conjuntion with another type of brace to repair/support the rail-post connections on vinyl fencing. Vinyl fence sites recommend using at least a #10 x 1" self-tapping screws. The holes on this piece of hardware limited me to a maximum of a #8 x 1" self-tapping screw. Hopefully that this, along with other bracing, will be sufficient.

not strong enough in my opinion so I doubled them and now I am very happy. Easy to install from a name that you can trust. Now I have a much higher degree of huricane/tornado protection.
