Piece of junk.. Cover didn't even last 8 months
I bought one of these in the spring, by the end of year the cover had tore. So they sent me a new one under warranty, well almost a whole cover the ends were missing from the replacement. Less than year later that one tore, but they won't warranty the replacement. So now I need to buy a cover only 2 years in... Bottom line is, this model is very very cheap... I live Ga so just sun and light wind no snow... Save your money and buy wood building or at least not this cheap that you're gonna replace the cover every year...

    Can't handle wind
I purchased this shelter 15 months ago. Is was holding up pretty good. I live in Michigan where I only really worry about snow or rain. Besides a little condensation buildup in the shelter it was looking good. Well about a week ago, Michigan was hit with severe wind and the cover was torn at every contact point (point where the tarp touches the poles) on the shelter. The material is weak. If you live in a windy area, I would not recommend this shelter. Or if you already have it, maybe try to reinforce he tarp at the contact points to prevent this.

      Helpful Third Storage Shelter
I bought my AutoShelter 1020 back in 2013, length & width was perfect to house Motorcycles, lawn mowers & small sport car. Has held up to many of wind, rain & snow storms. Now I use it as a carport that can be closed up when needed.

          Durable
I have two of these. One in my back yard for storing ride on mower, garden tools etc. Have had this one for about seven years. Anchored to wooden floor. Just started to rip along the centre line. Tarped for the winter. The second one i have had for about five years and houses my van in the winter. Expanding bolts drilled into the ashphalt have kept it secured. Both have withstood high winds and heavy snow. Starting to rip along the lower part of the roof line. Important to remove heavy drifts of snow with a snow rake. Have to replace both in the Spring, but not happy with the cost of replacement covers compared with the cost of the complete package

            Junk!!!
Bought this 2 years ago. I live in upstate ny and had snow the first year and it bent the center 3 roof pipes then during the summer i noticed the roof had a slight tear which i repaired. Then in november we got a few inches of snow and total collapse. If your buying a shelter buy the barn shape with the upgraded fly because the standard will fail and they know it that is why they only give you a 1 year limited warranty

              Good idea, cheap construction
All of the nuts back themselves off. You will want to add locktite or replace with locknuts. The cover had holes at stress points just after 1 year. They sent me a 4" patch which wouldn't patch a single hole, let alone the lot of them. It's now 25 months old and the cover has shredded in a 20mph wind storm.

                Cover needs improvement
I was hoping to get a lot more life out of the carport. It seems to be ripping on the edges where the bars are. My father purchased one the same time I did and is having the same problem. We both need replacement covers already it's been almost 2 years.

                    Lacking Quality Craftsmanship
Although there were only two of us putting the storage shelter together it was very time-consuming. Fortunately all the parts were available In the kit. I could not believe that the manufacturer had simply cut the fabric of the shelter with a knife to make a slit for the side rails, and they did not reinforce the slits with stitching or something. I am still questioning the strength of the material and only time will tell whether it is durable enough to withstand wind and snow. We have been warned that heavy snow will crush the top of the shelter and it will fall onto our camper. The company should use a heavy canvas material for the shelter instead of the plastic currently sold. More anchors should also be included with the kit.

                    Cheap cover!
Purchased Oct. 2014, did not assemble until Aug. 2015, currently the cover is tearing and splitting at each pole. Structure tubing is sound and holds up well. I have a request in for a replacement and / or upgrade cover, the price is what you get? I wish it would have lasted longer.

                      dies not last

Frame works well, tarp material is thin and tears.
I'm on my 3rd cover in 4.5 yrs of owning this canopy. Best part is, not, you cant just buy a new top, it has to be the entire assembly.

Not worth it for 1 year
I bought this in September 2015. Assembly wasn't too bad. The cover is definitely for good weather only! Within 5 months the cover began tearing just about everywhere a support pole touches it. I do have to say that the frame is sturdier than it looks. It withstood some pretty good winds and a couple heavy snow storms. It's a great idea but the cover is just cheap. Not sure it was worth setting it all up for just one year.

Summer use only and not for high winds
We just set this up and it took my husband about 8 hours with my help. When we started with the tarp we noticed that the back door had a hole already patched!! So basically they jus have torn a hole in the tarp while making it and just patched it. After a week of this being up we are questioning if we should leave it up during the winter but since we paid about 330 and took us all day we decided not to put anything of value in it and when it flies away (because it looks like it's going to) we will let it go and NEVER buy it again. Waste of money unless you just need it for a dew months during the summer or if you don't mind worrying every time a strong wind comes up.

                              To narrow for vehicle storage
Smaller than anticipated, you can not open your vehicle doors to get in or out when inside the garage, even in a compact vehicle. The material seems sturdy and my husband was able to assemble it over a weekend though.

                              Poor
The material is every poor. Is not for a long term us it rips fast . I have it for 8 month and after 6 month it's already broken.

                                Good product
My friends put this up, so no personal opinion, although they said it when up ok. Instructions were easy to follow. The stakes are not necessary where I live- no wind, but in windy areas, they would be handy. Two features that need improvement: 1. the two stretchy catches used to hold the rolled up front opening. They are too short- they could be longer to make fastening easier. 2. I bought a dowel from a hardware store to fit into the bottom sleeve of the front opening to aid in rolling it up to fasten. It's heavy and sturdy and seems, so far (2mos.) it will last a good while. Also, one part was missing and had to be sent, which came timely. Other than those 3 things, I'm happy.

After about 3 weeks, my carport was destroyed in the wind
I got the car port in mid July, 2016 and paid a little over $300 for it. It lasted until the first wind storm and the cover blew off as well as parts being lost. Home Depot didn't offer much help and I will now have to pay someone to dismantle the frame. It has been a big disappointment to me.

                                  Horrible waste of money...
From parts being labeled wrong, and having to figure it out on my own, to the first cover lasting only 6 months and the replacement cover not including the end pieces, now they are trash after a little over a year, and the only way to replace them to to buy a complete cover set.. The whole building is twisted from wind, and I live in Ga so no snow load. This is just a cheap, get you out of a pinch shelter. Would not recommend it to an enemy, certainly not a friend... Save your money and buy a real wood building..

Pleased with Carport and easabilty in setup alone
I have friends of mine that have purchased the exact same model and it worked great for years. I just purchased mine and set it up all by myself. I had to adjust the installation process a bit to accomplish the task, but it worked out great. I have read some of the reviews, and one friend had an issue, but found out they did not anchor it down and when a strong wind came along, the carport flipped. You have to follow the directions if you want results. The only adjustment I would make is clearer markings on all piping as quite a few were faded (I just compared to others) and that screws were in separate labeled bags. All-in-all I am pleased

Purchased 3 years ago. Very happy. Has stud up to heavy winds and rain. Only now needs replacement top from Florida sun damage

                                        Substandard
I bought this last year, installed in Nov.2015, one winter season it couldn't withstand the snow storm , the cover ripped by the wind. During installation I notice that the cover is sewed , it only glued, which make not strong enough

                                          10x20 auto tent
Purchased one of these about 18 months ago. About 5 months ago, began to see tears / rips in the fabric where it meets the frame - upper sides of structure. Placed some duct tape to try and strengthen and stop the tears from growing. Tears continue to grow slowly and now I'm seeing a few more tiny holes. Frame has held up well. So my car gets some rain water on it. One year warranty is inadequate - fabric quality / strength is poor. An outdoor shelter should hold up much better than this one has. Zippered door is a good design - but I think that will come apart pretty soon. I only open it about once a week. Construction directions were mediocre too.

                                            Great Buy
This is the second one we purchased. We had a freak storm with cannon ball size hail. Yes, it happened. We found out later, that there was a tornado on our block that caused the hail to be thrown with great velocity. We were in the process of building a garage. For temporary shelter of our new car, we purchased this auto shelter. After the storm stalled for about 20 minutes, there was a lot of damage to homes, all our neighbors vehicles were totalled, everyone's truck and cars windows shattered, rear view mirrors literally beaten off the trucks and cars. When the storm started I looked out and saw the hail bounce of the auto shelter but was so severe the hail started penetrating. I expected the worse. When we when to check we saw 20 slits in the shelter. We walked all around the vehicle. This shelter saved our new car. Rather than patching the slits, we just bought a new one for our side by side. We live in snow country, it survived all the weather conditions including other hail storms. Would highly recommend.

The product review said it would Take 2 hours to assemble. In reality it took 4 hours and several holes did not line up. Overall it was fine, but there is no way this would be completed in 2 hours.

The Cover Sun Rotted off in 14 Months
The package was poorly packaged and had missing pieces when it arrived. I contacted the company and they shipped out replacement parts, free of charge. The assembly is much as described in other reviews. What is missing and is needed are the dimensions for the finished footprint. This is needed because the frame is flexible enough to move over a foot, side to side -- the fabric determines the actual size of tent. Once the tent is on, it becomes more difficult to pour cement anchors The frame is holding up well, but the desert sun rotted off the material in just over a year. It did hold up well to the wind, but not the sun. They do make additional covers of different grades, but the higher grade ones are cost prohibitive, in my opinion. I would only recommend this if you find the price attractive and understand that you will have to replace the cover in about a year.

                                              Great Shelter for the price
The shelter is easy to assembly and is sturdy. The hardware was all there and easy to install. The assembly of the shelter can be done with just one or two people. However, this is the smaller version and a large vehicle would not fit in it due to the length. I store a small sports car in it and it fits fine.
