Failed to work.
I used scots in past but i put out turf builder a month ago and before my grass was thick healthy few weeds i needed to get rid of. My friend did the same and we both have spots this stuff killed my grass and not the weeds.

Won't Get Away From This Ever Again
Had been using, then got away from for whatever reason for several years and only used steer manure in the fall, and began noticing dead spots in the yard and not as lush of a green color. Have used twice now in the last 8 months or so and wow, what a difference. The dead spots filled in quickly and the lawn began growing like crazy with a lush, green color. Will still do steer manure in fall, but will definitely do at least two spreads of this lawn food in addition. I'm in Southern California with St. Augustine.

It Does Not Work - Need Refund
Waste of Money!
Bought Scotts Turf Builder Weed & Feed3, Weed Killer Plus Lawn Fertilizer, Controls Dandelion and Clover, 15,000 sq. ft., 42.87 lbs. It did not kill any weeds and instead made our yard grow some grass looking weeds everywhere.
This really needs to be reported to an agency for false advertisement.

This product does not prevent weeds, and only controls weed types listed on the label that are green and growing at the time of application. You may have crabgrass, in which case you might need a crabgrass preventer. Please reach out so we can help recommend the correct product for your grassy weeds.

Clumpy
Bought 8 backs of tuff build and it was all balled up in large balls. Made it application in even and took extra time. I buy Scott’s because it a better product.

Did not work
Idk if I bought a bad bag I’ve used Scott’s for years and have always been pleased this year I used it two different times following the instructions. It did not work at all.

The most common reason a lawn does not respond to fertilizer is soil pH. Soil pH must be between 5.5-7.5 for fertilizer to be absorbed by the grass. If the lawn isn't receiving at least an inch of water per week, then the lawn will not green up as fast. Thatch over 1/2" thick prevents the nutrients from getting to the plant roots. Grass will not respond to fertilizer during periods of dormancy. This includes during the heat of summer in northern states.

Horrible
Extremely disappointed. I follows the Scott’s plan on the website used this in early and late spring and now my front yard is full of weeds. I had no weeds for almost 2 years before I used this product.

Weed seed can live in the soil for many years or blow in from other areas. If you have weed you will need to apply a product with weed control.

Scott’s turf builder ruined my lawn
This product ruined my lown and I am extremely disappointed. My grass was growing beautifully and I should have left it alone. Not sure what my next steps are. Probably I’ll have to rake up the dead grass and reseed it!!

Left brown spots on my green lawn
I used this product on my lawn and a week later there are brown spots all over it. I keep it water. I went from one of the nicer lawns in the neighborhood to this.

Turf Builder
Have used Scotts forever and was very disappointed the bag says it will cover 5000 SF and only covered 3000 SF. I have a new Scotts drop spreader and following the bag instructions, I should have realized a bag with 1.75# less product at a higher setting will not cover 5000 SF. I did not realize the weight and setting until I ran out of fertilizer with about 1/3 of the lawn not covered. I hope the deception in coverage is the only draw back on this bag and Scotts have not compromised the quality of the product.

Quality of product
No longer what it use to be. After thy doble the price this product when downhill I use to apply it and see the results within 5 to 7 days now do you apply the product and you see no change I highly recommend people to stop using this and try to find some thing else otherwise you’re wasting your money.

Uncertain
I am most troubled about this situation. I used this “Turf Builder Lawn Food” to feed my grass and make it healthiest as possible. Unfortunately, after using it yellow spots began showing throughout my lawn. It appeared to be dead grass… I can’t say certain but before using my grass looked healthy enough. The grass was green with minimum issues. After using this product my grass is destroyed. The damage caused by this product has placed a burden upon me physically and financially to now have to repair.

Scott's Turfbuilder Edge Guard DLX
I bought this last summer and only have used it 4 times and today when I was pushing it around the lawn with my fertilizer the left wheel broke off. I spent almost $60 for 4 uses on a 1200 sq ft yard.

Scott's Lawn Food greened up my lawn.
My newly planted sod Marathon2 showed decreased green color after mowing. After using only one application of Scott's lawn Food my new lawn is green again, even after mowing.

Horrible product
This product killed my lawn. I have had a fantastic lawn for years and decided to try Scott’s Lawn food as I read it was good for newly installed sod, which I had put down in the back yard after my patio project was completed. I decided to spread the left overs through out my front and side yards. Now I have dead splotches EVERYWHERE! I am furious!! Do not use this product!

I’m so disappointed!! I live in California. I did a lot of research before purchasing this Lawn food in an effort to make sure I applied this product in early
spring (April) so my yard would be beautiful for spring and summer. I followed the instructions, so here’s my results. My lawn looks Awful!!

Quality control issues
I bought this about a week ago. Stored it in my shed off the ground and in opened. Had chunks solid as a rock I couldn’t break them up with a hammer.

Product is awesome
This is my first project I did on my own for my backyard. I paid to have sod put on my yard and it did not last long. That was a big waste of money but lesson learned so I decided do it on my own and I am very happy with this product.
