Perfect fit for us!
We recently ordered this refrigerator online (we also talked with someone at our local store) and so far have been very pleased. We needed a lower profile refrigerator and this one is perfect. We knew that we would have limited space so, for us, that is not a problem. The shelves on the doors are not extremely deep or high, and while that is a small problem, we were not surprised. I had read that the ice maker did not make ice very quickly, but we have not found this to be true. Also read that the refrigerator was noisy...not true! Obviously if you need a large refrigerator, this is not the one for you. But if you are looking for one that is slightly smaller than standard, this is an excellent choice: quality and value! I love the fact that Home Depot delivers and installs free of charge (and they showed up exactly when they said they would)!

Impressed with new Samsung refrigerator
This Samsung fridge looks great, performs well and was a perfect fit for our kitchen. Only feature change I would recommend would be to have the top shelf in two sections instead of one solid piece. It would allow larger items to be stored without having to remove the entire shelf.

so far so good
I got this as a second fridge for my home. Had it installed in my laundry room. Before you buy, pay close attention to the way the shelf is displayed. I have to take away the middle shelf so that I can store 1 gallon milk containers and as well to keep some juice bottles. The middle shelf has only 3 adjustments to the heights, no matter what you do with the middle shelf there is no way to keep a gallon of milk containers in the main fridge compartment. Not surprised that this model is on sale, as they want to get ride of it. Since its my back fridge, I don't mind it.

Look Good Work Poorly
If you search the internet you will find tons of people posting in regard to the fact that this one is a LEMON. Water will (after a while) accumulate in the vegetable drawers. It is caused by a drain that routinely gets clogged by ice. The drain is very hard to get to and involves taking the entire back wall off of the fridge. And that was just the beginning of my problems. We are giving up after 1.5 years and buying a new refrigerator. Please go on other web sites and you will see many others with the same tale. I found out too late.

Worst Refrig Ever
We constantly have water and ice building up on the bottom of the refrig and in the crisper drawers. Cleaned it out this morning, and 4 hours later more water on bottom of refrig. It is worse when the refrig is full, even when we pull the food away from the sides and back to allow for the flow of air. One technician we called said he would not even look at it because Samsung does not offer support to techs. Can't wait to toss this one out!

Love my new refrigerator.
It's been just a month of use for the new refrigerator and given the severe limitations I have in space, I couldn't be happier. It was difficult finding a French door fridge that would fit in the small space allowed and my choices were very limited. Fortunately this one has worked out well.
I love the platinum finish! It looks just like stainless steel but allows magnets to stick and doesn't have the fingerprint problems of SS.
I've given four stars, instead of five, because of two issues. One, the alarm that sounds when the door is left open, while nice to have, is so quiet unless one is actually in the kitchen it cannot be heard, and there doesn't appear to be a volume control. Second, space for tall items is really limited. I have a back-up fridge so I've been able to prioritize what goes in this one, but if this is to be your only refrigerator, be warned a lot of things will end up having to be put on their sides.

Do Not Recommend (Our's broke within 2 years)
Refrigerator lasted for ONLY 2 years. Refrigerator section has not worked properly for the last 6 months. The back panel gets frosted about once every 4 weeks and we have had a repair person thaw the refrigerator every month for the last 4 months. The control panel was replaced but it still does not work. We are waiting for a replacement refrigerator now. I would not recommend a Samsung refrigerator. Warranty only lasted 1 year.

Terrible Quality
I had this fridge serviced a couple months after the warranty ran out. The ice built up and the fan in the back could not move the cold air around. I took it apart a few times and defrosted it, but it seems I have to do it every few months. I will not buy any appliances from Samsung anymore.

Not a great purchase.
We bought this fridge approximately three years ago. Already after one year, it need service. The water leaked into the back of the vegetable bins and started to ice over. The freezer misted up, and actually six months after we purchased it. The freezer problem has never been resolved. The compressor broke about two years later, and had to be replaced. The service man has been here twice, the compressor has been replaced, there is still water and ice in the bins, although much less. We paid too much money for these problems. And I have had to take too much time off from work waiting around for service. It looks great, and I like the inside organization, but needless to say, I absolutely do not recommend it.

Good looking Junk
Broke after two and a half years and factory said the computer malfunctioning is not under warranty after one year, and it is not covered under "sealed system" parts. Looks like a sealed system to me! Junk1

I love the botom freezer
It is working great. I love the bottom freezer.
I do not like the fact that you can not move the shelves.
I do not like the lack of space for tall item.
It is good that there are spaces on the door for these items.
Thinks stay fresher in this ref.
I like the ice maker. The fresh item drawer on the shelf.

Won't buy Samsung product again!
I bought this Refrigerator in Oct 2010 and at time of purchase I bought extended two year warranty so total three years warranty. The Refrigerator works OK for the past three years. Things I don't like about it is: The Space is not as big as even for a smaller Refrigerator and the humidity is too high in the compartment which makes food easy to get bad. We cannot open the freezer door after 3 year and a half years of use. Called Samsung and they referred us to either buy a Protection Plus warranty for one year which will cost us $450 or go to one of their recommended contractors A& E to fix it. The technician from A &E told us this failure is very common for Samsung and it would cost us at least $450 to fix it. The technician said it was from the Ice Maker and inside of Freezer now is full of ice. We already spend $75 for a technician visit and we do not want to spend another $450 just for a one year of good use of this Samsung. We will be better off to buy a new and better quality Refrigerator and throw this one to garbage.

Awesome purchase
We have been looking for a bottom freezer refrigerator that will fit the space in our kitchen and we couldn't have purchased a better one than this. There is more than enough space for what i need and the LED light makes a lot of difference.

A nice upgrade for our home
My wife always wanted a french door fridge, but our townhouse's kitchen has limited space. The only negative reviews I saw were about space, which didnt concern me, since it had more cubic space than our old top bottom refrigerator. In a perfect world, I would like more height on the shelves for standing items, but we are overall very pleased with our purchase

Nice Fridge
This fridge is great except like other reviews the shelves are to short height wise. We don't have kids so didn't think it mattered but found other things that don't fit besides milk cartons. Other than that small inconvenience the fridge is great.

So far so good
Everything seems to be working so far although I do not have the ice maker hooked up. The only issue seems to be the stupid shelving design. You cannot put a gallon of milk anywhere but on the door without laying it down or removing a shelf. Not too bright. Also, the drawer under the top shelf cannot be opened by opening just one of the front doors. You have to open them both as the drawer won't slide far enough left or right and it is 1" too wide.
Other than that, we love it so far!

Looks great, very quiet.
Nice refrigerator for the money. I wish it had an internal water dispenser, and ice cubes fall out when opening the freezer drawer when the bin is full. Other than that, very satisfied

Refrigerator
This is one of the best appliance purchases I have ever made. Spacious, yet compact. Bell rings when door is left open. Attractive, even though my kitchen is small, this fits perfectly.

Great value, great features, compact size
I bought this refrigerator for just over $1000 delivered. It is an excellent value, provides a good featureset (only needs an external ice/water dispenser) and is a great size. I got it $600 cheaper than the counter depth model, but it is only a couple of inches deeper, so it's almost a perfect fit. I am very pleased. Home Depot delivery and installation was great, too.

NOthing but problems for over a year now
First the defrost mechanism froze up and water was dripping into the vegetable drawer. Then the freezer door did not seal completely in upper right hand corner. Repairman came out and indicated the freeze up problem was common with Samsung. A heater wire does not extend down into the defrost drain tube far enough to keep it from freezing up, thereby causing the water dripping. A design flaw Samsung knows about. Repairman used a piece of aluminum wire to wrap around the heater element and extended it down into the drain tube a couple of inches. That has worked fine for about a year and had to have repairman come back out and tighten the wire onto the heater element because it started dripping again.
Freezer door not sealing--repairman simply "brute strength twisted" the freezer door to get the gasket to seal in the upper right corner. Said door got "warped someway".
Looking for another brand of refrigerator since these problems appear to be common with Samsung.

Overall, we think the unit was a very good buy.
We like almost everything about the refrigerator with the
exception of the shelving arrangement. The need for a
split shelf is evident as there is inadequate space for tall
containers. Otherwise we are very pleased with this
unit.
Does the manufacturer offer replacement split shelves to
replace one of the large wall to wall shelves? We spoke
to other buyers who also were not pleased with the lack of
tall container storage - one returned the unit because
of it.

perfect product with great features
We were limited on space and could not go so many inches wide. This product fit perfectly in the space and our budget! The shelves are wonderful while the door storage is limited we still have plenty if room for our needs.

Love my new refrigerator.

This Product Delivers as Promised
Out with the old, in with the new. I love having a freezer drawer, and an eye-level view of what's in the refrigerator--no more ugly surprises six months later. The size is perfect for our family of two adults. Produce seems to stay fresher longer, and we have all the ice we need for holiday entertaining. I am very satisfied with my purchase!

After two weeks, I like it a lot!
I had a side-by-side before and am finding the French Door design much better. I've noticed the ice maker only makes six cubes at a time but haven't had a need to use a lot of ice yet to determine whether or not this will be an issue. The ice bin is large, though, so hopefully I'll have enough stored up when needed.
