The ones I received were more beige than dark brown.

Heavy Duty! These are much stronger than most any floor register you can buy today. The metal is much heavier gauge steel, and it is formed in a manner that makes them even stronger. At that, the slightly higher cost for these is quite reasonable. The brown color and the finish work well with our wood floors. Now that we have these, I am delighted to be throwing out the cheap decorative registers a previous owner had put in our house.

I wanted to replace old grills which fastened to the ceiling with screws. Screws in drywall don't stay, the vents fall down and you are left with holes (see pic). I unwrapped these, poked them up into the empty holes, and voila! The will detach easily so I can repaint the ceiling whenever I want! I got the white, they seem sturdy, well made. The finish is solid. ALSO the vanes inside move easily compared to my old ones.

This vent is for the same bathroom as the 2 x 10 vent. I replaced the original vent due to the vent showing signs of rust after 20 plus years. This new vent fit the opening fine and I liked the springy sides which added some additional tightness for the fit to the opening. But like the smaller vent the length was 1/4 inch shorter than specified.

Waited 3 weeks for piece - wrong color going to cost me two hours to return.

The grille updated the look of our bathroom floor. It was easy to install.

I love these registers. The brown color is lighter than I expected, but they are high quality. I especially like the clip design (levered sides) so that the register fits snuggly in the opening.

Fit the vent space well. No sharp edges. You can set the vent to various open or close setting and they stay.

Nice finish. Well constructed. Fairly priced.

This is the classic floor vent. It usually requires that you bend down to rotate the wheel to open or close the vent fins. Sometimes the toe of a tennis shoe will grab the wheel. Over time the adjusting wheel may get harder to turn or the vent fins may begin to stick. If bent, the fins can be coaxed back into shape with a pliers. If not, replace the unit. Ours last an average of 15 years. Not bad.

I bought a mobile home over a year ago and finally decided to replace the floor vents - what a difference! They work great. Thank you.

Simple product that does the job = 5 stars

I ordered four, none of which will allow you to close the vent. The dial on the side is too stiff and I ended up forcing the vent closed and ended up damaging the hinges.

This is a great product. I wasn't happy with the choices in-store and ordered other fancy grills on-line that were $6 more each, but returned them because of poor quality. These are quality built and fit in easily to the space. Only drawback, why they won't get 5 stars, they don't include hardware to install and sit flush, but they are fine in the 2 baths - not the kitchen. Some good two sided tape will fix it surely. The laminate isn't installed yet so don't know how that will go. But I kinda like the look of no hardware and if it works on the laminate, easy peasy. I would recommend this product. The price is definitely right too.
