Its not as thick as some of the reviews make it out to be but its still very good quality. I drilled some holes and attached it to the home in minutes and expect it to last for many years.

In the beginning it took me 1 hour to put the first one on from start to finish. I added silicon caulk (clear) to the top (only) and screws. However the next two took only 30 minutes because I knew how to do it. The last one took several hours because it was under a deck. I'd advise digging out the window well prior to installation of the covers and lining the area with gravel or other suitable material so as to prevent one's sump pump drain from getting clogged in the future. The covers appear to be well constructed. I also drilled holes in the plastic before I screwed them into the siding. The last thing I did was fastened the screws from the middle to the outside in that order. That was to prevent misalignment and 'bunching' of the plastic. It made sense to me to do that.

At first glance, these look pretty much like the same window well covers you can get at home depot off the shelf. However, as soon as you touch one, or lift it, you will notice the difference. These are much thicker. I got these based on the positive reviews because I had always wanted window well covers made of thicker material so I would not have to replace them literally every year. These are likely to last several years, so I am very happy. These are easily worth the extra expense. The included photo shows the edges of the standard and these thicker well covers. You can clearly see the difference in thickness..

The window well protectors I received were surprisingly durable and easy to use. I am very pleased with the outcome which was timely during the winter months where we have been shifting back and forth from snow, freezing rain, and rain. I'm now protected from the water getting into the basement.

I would recommend this product. BUT you should not expect it to last outside in the Boston weather more than 2-3 years. The warranty is 5 years, but it doesn't feel right to cash in on it. I simply replace them every few years and that is life. Helps keep snow and driving rain away from my basement windows.

They were big enough and seem durable

Very heavy duty and easy to see through.

This product is just what I have been looking for. Excellent product. Keeps the animals, leaves and rain (water) out of my 4 window wells.

These were perfect! One size accommodated all 3 window wells of varying sizes. (The covers were slightly larger than the wells). Make sure the height is enough to cover several inches of siding/brick/housing material above and to allow 1-2” on either side of the welll as well as the depth.

Good quality plastic. Used 2 screws to secure the top to shingles above the window. Water still ran down the shingles into the window well because it was not water-tight. I used a clear silicone caulk between the shingles and the top of the cover to divert the water onto the top of the cover.

Much thicker and stronger than the less expensive versions ($22 vs. $10). I would have given them a 5 star rating but I feel that I need to wait and see how UV resistant they are. UV exposure is what ended the life of the previous bubbles; they become brittle and opaque and finally crack into pieces. I got two years out of the cheaper versions; so what I'm expecting out of this new product (to me) is 5 years. Hopefully!

It is way better than what is availbe in store for similar price range. Like it a lot.

Product is very strong and durable.

It seems like it is pretty sturdy, but I have never had to use one of these before, so I have no idea how it will wear. It does not seem like it will become brittle with the cold weather coming, so I am hopeful it will be fine when it snows. It has some give to it. It came in a huge, but lightweight box, in perfect condition, on time.

This was a reorder to replace hail damaged ones. The holes for the screws were in different places. Unable to use screws of the previous covers.

It covered the opening as expected. Any heavy rain is diverted away from the opening.

The day after I installed these we had a hail storm with golf ball sized hail and 65 mph winds and windows broke out all over town. Happy to report these bubbles withstood the storm and were not damaged at all.
