I am very happy with this rug pad. It is far superior to many on the market, as I have purchased several brands that touted their brands to be 'the best'. The Safavieh Non-Slip Rug Pad is heads above many! It adds a slight cushioning effect to my area rug, which makes it comfortable to walk on, and it does indeed stay in place. The pad does stretch a bit, so I needed to trim about 1 inch along one edge of both the length and the width, so that it wouldn't show. This was done easily enough. The rug pad was packaged well, and was shipped promptly. I highly recommend both, the pad and Home Depot, to anyone looking for a non-slip rug pad.

Purchased the rug pad for my area rug. It was easy to place on floor and I like this one better than the solid pads. It was an exact size 8 x 8.

Performs as desired.

We have had the pad in place under a Safavieh runner carpet for several weeks now and it totally has prevented any slippage or movement of the rug and also provides an extra layer of padding under foot.

This product is great. It was durable and easy to cut to fit into my odd sized doorway.

Was just what I needed to keep braided rug from sliding on vinyl floor.

Keeps rug in place on my hardwood floor.

This is your basic polyester, anti-skid rug pad. It is idea for carpets that don't hold fast. If you want extra padding go with the cushioned felt type. It all depends on your need.

It fit perfectly under my new rug.

Great quality rug pad

Perfect rug pad...worked great under my rug. Been using it for a while now and only had to slightly adjust it under my rug one time...it was the dogs fault...they were being rambunctious fur babies!

Worked out just great,. holds the rug in place.

Rug moves slightly

This was a very nice pad for a great price. It was helpful to have it match the unusual dimensions of our runner.

The pad was great but not needed

We needed a non-slip rug pad for the 4x6 Safavieh rug we have in our living room. The rug is high quality, but doesn't have a non slip backing, so it's always sliding around as our kids run through the house. The rug pad was smaller than I anticipated. It's large enough to keep the rug in place, but it's significantly smaller than the 4x6 rug. The pad had a very strong , unpleasant chemical smell when I removed it from the packaging. The smell dissipated within a few hours, but it definitely made me think twice about having a chemical heavy product in my home with small kids. Overall, it seems to do its job, but you might want to think about a more all natural product (if it exists) if you have kids or pets at home.

Bought to place under a rug on vinyl floor. Website said for use on all surfaces but the package said not for use on some vinyl floors so I returned as I did not want to take a chance on ruining a newly installed floor

Withstands bunching/slipping that would ordinarily occur while playing tug-of-war with the dog on the rug under which this rug pad sits.

The rug pad was so good and "sticky" to the floor, that I only gave it a 4 for installation. It is better than previous pads I have purchased.

Great looking product but doesn't keep the area rug in place. I'm constantly fixing the rug.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do. Easy to trim. Lays flat and keeps the rug from sliding.

difficult to rave about a non slip rug pad..........did have to trim to size, which was easy, and just put in down with the rug........works perfectly.

I purchased this for the rug in my living room, back door & daughter's room to not slip on our concrete floors. It didn't stay down near the back door (increased dirt & grass from traffic) so I pulled it up. It left polyester debris stuck to the floor that continues to attract dirt & won't come up w/ anything. If you use this under a rug - make sure you plan to permanently have a rug in that area to cover the mess this thing makes.

Reacted with my flooring surface, melted, and ruined the foor. I would give this zero stars.

I ordered this at the same time I ordered an 8' by 8' square rug. I was very disappointed because the rug pad turned out to be 8' ROUND. I didn't want to deal with the return, so I'm using the round rug pad under my square rug. I will eventually buy a square one, and am upset that I wasted money on this.

I have new bamboo floor (finished with a acrylic polyurethane). I bought this pad for a runner in a hallway. It was very sticky and I could see that eventually it would probably end up destroying the finish on the bamboo. Although the rug pad stated it was good for all hard floors; the small print on the package stated that it "may not be suitable for use on vinyl, lacquered or acrylic surfaces". It is so sticky it will stick to anything. It was only down a few minutes and you could see a grid pattern on the floor when I pull it up.
