The Rustoleum protective enamel is usually the aerosol spray paint that I reach for when I have a painting project to do but id never used it on stone before now. I have used this paint (another colour) on pvc pipe, wood and even cardboard to make a sign. Id been wondering how to smarten up the outside of my home over the cooler months and decided to use a can of Rustoleum gloss protective enamel spray, rich jade color -Its a new shade but i did not want a color that is unnatural looking outside. I took apart my concrete bricks & sprayed them starting at the top and slowly working my way down. The paint did not run or skip an area, i kept spraying from left to right in even strokes and it covered the concrete no problem. I had used a vinyl glove cos i thought maybe my finger would be turned green from my pressing down on the nozzle but to my surprise my hand remained paint free! Every time i stopped spraying i checked to see if i would have to reapply but the coverage was solid. This spray dried within an hour on the concrete bricks so my project got finished even quicker. The jade colour looks pretty nice, not a weird green or anything but it clearly stands out in a nice way. I have had strangers & delivery people compliment me on how cheerful it looks. I would recommend this spray paint for stone as well as for metal projects.

I got this 12 oz. Protective Enamel Rich Jade Gloss Spray Paint by Rust-Oleum and so far I very pleased with it. The color of the paint and the lid on the can are very true. This spray paint go's on very easy and covers extremely well. You can apply a second coat or more within a few minutes of each other. It dry's to the touch in 2-3 hours and fully cures in 24 hours. Even though this has a gloss finish it can be top-coated to ensure the shine stays and protects it. In the attached pictures the test scrap of wood is a un-sanded piece of blued pine. If I had sanded it before applying the paint the coverage would have been much better, although it doesn't look that bad as is.

Nice rich color. Love the spread on the cap.i should have bought more on that day and will go back. Im using it to coat my metal boxes for some electrical work on a house that sits right on the beach. The old existing boxes and steel conduit are mostly corroded so all my new boxes, conduit are getting a quick coat to keep them preserved longer. The old eisting metal that is okay to keep also gets a coat to maintain what is there.. good stuff, and doesn't run/drip ....

I built my first distressed wooden flag using a torch for the red, but the black kept coming off on my hands. I prayed this on, and it dried very fast. The best part is that it doesn't even look like I applied anything, which keeps the distressed look perfect Easy to apply and no more black mess on my hands after use. Very happy!

This is a great new color on a product that set the standard for covering up rust. This is an oil based product. The only type of paint I use. Water based paints just do not cut it. They almost never stand as well. Fade much quicker. And the color is never as bright as the same color in oil. Rustoleum lasts and prevents the rust from coming through the paint for a long time. With proper prep even longer. Do not settle for a cheaper brand. I will get this everytime

Grown up with Rust-oleum. Always used on my cars which all had rust. Now fast forward 45 years and there is a whole array of paints. This color is new, and perfect color for the job. It stops and prevents rust, and I never use under-coatings for this. The button you push to spray the paint is more ergonomic than the olden time spray can. It sprays evenly and does not get all over your fingers. I use gloves anyway. It has a child preventative cap, and you must prove you are over eighteen before you purchase it in some states. It covered evenly and did not drip. Make sure you read directions and precautions.

Living up to its reputation, the Rust-Oleum Stops Rust 12 oz. Protective Enamel Cambridge Stone Gloss Spray Paint was simple to use and provided great results. I have concrete blocks that I use as part of my landscape edging and wanted to paint them to eliminate the unfinished gray. Two light coats went on easily and I am pleased with the appearance. I was concerned the concrete would be too porous and absorb the paint too much but that wasn't the case. The enamel stays on the surface better than water based. The paint sprayed fine from any angle and the color matched the cap exactly. As with all Rust-Oleum spray paints I am completely satisfied.

This is by far the best spray paint to use and it only took a couple of minutes to spray them. It goes on very evenly without having to worry about dripping or uneven painting. I like the satin finish and the even application. This paint is of high quality and very easy to apply. I have always used this brand when ever I have to repaint anything outdoors as it also dries very quickly.

I bought this paint to update a flower basket hook. I love the rich jade color. Gloss, but not too glossy. The paint is definitely not dull. It has held up through a couple storms and hooking a hanging plant on it. It did not peel off at any time. It has given the hook a very fresh look and was easy to use. It did drip a little but that could be due to the application. I may not have been standing far enough back.

I used this to paint some closet rod supports that had started to rust. I sanded off the rust and cleaned the metal before painting. When you spray the paint as directed 12 to 18 inches away from the item, the result is a smooth coat with no drips. I went too close at one point and caused drips, but that was my fault. I can't speak to whether rust will be prevented, but I suspect that it will with such a shiny, protective coat of paint. Very happy with the result.

Very easy to use. I used this on an old chair. Sanded down first then applied this spray paint. The color is beautiful and looks rich and very modern. A great looking color. The spray went on very easily and it did not appear to run in any places. The paint dried very fast and again with no runs. I am very pleased and plan to get more and do the rest of my chairs.

This was used to repaint some very old concrete deer statues. The color was perfect for the body of the deer, and left a light sheen finish. I've used this product years ago to refinish them. No special prep, brushed off the dirt & any flaking & just sprayed away, adheres good!

I bought a new yard light fixture from Home Depot and needed to make the existing post look as new as the fixture. Black Rust-Oleum Flat Protective Enamel performed better than expected. The sun was fading fast and it was windier than usual but I still got a great finish on a 50 year-old lamp post.

      Covers Well
I was very impressed with this product. We recently purchased a dark wooden desk for our office space, and I’ve been in search of the perfect chair. I decided to take a change and take an old oak wood chair from a kitchen set we no longer use and jazz it up with this product. I picked a nice sunny, warm day to spray paint the chair outside. The paint covered in just one coat. I did have to go back and touch up a couple of spots I missed, but that’s due more to the glare from the sun. I used the Satin Classic Navy color. The color is very similar to a Yankee blue and leaves a matted looking sheen to the chair, very classy for any room. I finished the chair off with a gray seat cushion.

      Super summer color!
What does "Tuscan Sun" make you think of? Besides Italy, it's summer, right? I have an outdoor lantern that was seriously rusted. I took a wire brush to it to remove the loose rust. Then I sprayed the glossy Tuscan Sun enamel paint on it. The spray was even and the coverage was very good. I only had to apply one coat. It's a very lovely color. I'm attaching the before and after pictures.

      Love this color
We had an old bookshelf in our garage that needed a pick me up so I chose the Satin Dark Taupe spray paint. It was easy to use just shake and spray. The book shelf is wood with old white paint currently on it but the new paint adhered just fine (I didn't bother to sand anything off first)! I love the color however I over estimated how much one can would be able to cover. I'm thinking I will need to purchase at least two more cans to finish this job. But with that being said I love the color and can't wait to finish this project!

      I'm happy with this paint.
I used this to clean up an old metal patio umbrella-base I have. This paint sprayed on easily without clumping up or dripping. The base came out looking really good. There was enough paint in the can to put multiple coats on the base and have some left over. The base is 18” around and even after 2.5 coats, there is what feels like over half of the can left.

      GREAT PAINT!
This is only the second time I am using spray paint. I have this chair that I use for my sewing machine and it was looking kind of sad so I decided to try this paint on it. I put down my drop cloth, wiped down the chair (after removing the cushion) and proceeded to try to spruce it up! I read the directions on the can (which were very small, by the way!) and shook the can for 1 minute as directed. Then, I proceeded to spot spray each section (keeping about 6 inches away). The paint adhered very quickly and evenly and dried in no time! I am very please with how the chair turned out and would recommend this spray paint.

Great Spray Paint for Yard Art
I recently found a brand new, gun-metal grey lizard (still in its original package) at a thrift store and knew I could "take it up a notch" with some spray paint and added design. This Rust-Oleum Gloss Protective Enamel Spray Paint was the perfect choice. It is made specifically for metal and prevents rust which is important since this lizard will be hung outside. As you can tell from the picture below, it came out great! I did not have to remove any rust before paintingt because it was new, but I did sand it down a little to remove the shiny surface before sprayING it. I used 3 very light coats and the coverage was superb and it dried quickly! The Tuscan Sun color is bright and cheery and really shows up well. The paint finish is very durable too and I expect it will last years. The spray tip allows the paint to continue spraying even while holding the can sideways and/or upside down...nice feature. Now to find something else to spray and turn into yard art!

      Great coverage
I used this Rust-Oleum protective enamel satin dark taupe spray paint to replace blistered and rusted legs on my patio deck chairs. I first wired brushed the effected areas, then I lightly sanded these areas. The spray paint went on well and fully covered all the affected areas on the chairs. I have used Rust-Oleum spray paint for years, it is my first choice for all my painting needs. I prefer the satin finish, because the low gloss helps to hide imperfections in item being painted. Paint dried quickly, will very little mess.
