I was looking for the right paint for my 1989 Batmobile model, and was about to leave, when I noticed the Metalic Black Night paint. It was just what I was looking for. A few coats, two days drying, and a hand buffing with liquid car wax and the paint looks just perfect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a wooden nightstand that had a worn finish and I decided to paint it. It was easy to spray the table and I quickly learned how to depress the plunger to get just the right amount of coverage. Depressing the plunger all the way down will give you too much paint and cause a drip. It took 2 coats to cover the dark wood but the results were amazing. The paint looks glittery when wet but once dried it was a lovely silver shimmer. I advise you to keep any object outside for a day or so because the paint smell is strong.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in Michigan, so when I received this product to sample, our outside temperature had already dropped below the temp. required for outdoor use. So, my husband volunteered to use his pipe wrench that is about 45 years old, to test the product. As you can see, the 1st 2 pics are before use of the product. The 3rd picture is after 1 coat, and we could have stopped right there because it was perfectly covered. But we did a 2nd coat and it looks amazing. Both coats dried completely within 25 minutes. I am looking forward to a break in the weather so we can do our chain link fence. Thank you for a great product!

Rust-Oleum has nailed the spray nozzle design. Coats go on clean and even. Clogs are virtually non-existant. I won't buy anything else.

Was easy to use and really works ..color was great

This is for #7271830 "Metallic Silver" spray paint. I feel it has poor coverage plus it would be best to spray in a booth or outdoors as the metal flakes in the paint go everywhere. Took 3+ coats to cover a small wood handle (sealed with clear lacquer). Paint easily ran and pooled. Once dry, it seems ok. I had used "Metallic Champaign Bronze" on another handle and was very pleased with that: No running, no pooling, good coverage.

Really nice metallic look. Use laquer finish spray for a nice shine and protection

The color is amazing and applies very easy. The spray nozzle is perfect in getting even coats.

Cool color metal

Not gold, but still offering that "gold" feel, this particular color provided just the touch of elegance we were wanting for a presentation piece. It pairs especially well with the cobalt blue from the same line.

I wanted to paint my chrome light fixture to resemble brushed nickel and this paint was recommended by a Home Depot employee. The result was horrible aluminium-like bright finish with glitter especially showing in a bright light. It looked very cheap and I had to return the paint. I wish Rust-Oleum would have something that would resemble metal...

I love this color, why doesn't anyone stock it in their stores anymore? I buy it in bulk from home depot, its the best price. repainted atv racks.

Color was pretty. Didn't get as much coverage as I would have liked, but that may have been operator error. Rust prevention is okay. Really need to make sure the spots you are painting are rust free as I think this will inhibit the product from doing its job. I saw a few rust spots come up after painting. Not as bad as it was before, but noticeable. Will probably need to hit with another coat.

I make a lot of yard art and got this Cobalt Blue Protective Enamel Metallic Spray Paint with the intention of making some metal flowers for my yard. As you can tell from my picture below (partially finished flower) the cobalt blue is a true cobalt color and the metallic flakes in the paint just sparkle and catch the sun beautifully! It has great coverage, it sprays on evenly and was easy to use. Not only that, it dries so fast...fully dry in 30 min! Since I was painting clean, unrusted metal I didn't need to seal before painting. However, if you use it on a porous surface, you will need to seal surface before painting. This paint prevents rust, so my flower is protected. Even the Metallic flakes are weather-resistant and should last for years. This paint can also be used on automobiles, bikes, masonry, brick and wood indoors or out. Because this paint is made by Rust-Oleum, a trusted name in spray paint, you can expect great results. It is also made in the USA! Now I need to get more of this paint in different colors to make more petal layers for my flower! I love this paint and the rich, sparkly effect!

The Rust-Oleum Nickel spray paint made old, dirty brass hinges look like bright, new nickel ones! I bought custom cabinets from ReStore and painted so replacing the hinges was out of the question. And, since I was changes the color of the cabinets to white, I wanted nickel finished hinges to match the nickel pulls that had been added. They came out beautiful and looked like new as did the pulls.8168

Wife purchased this to spray-paint large Christmas ornaments (between 8 - 14 inches in diameter). Applied consistent coverage and looks great. I have used many Rustoleum spray products and always been happy.

I used this on some home made armor pieces I constructed from EVA foam. I sealed the foam with Modge Podge, first, then applied layers of this paint. The final treatment was a coating of their clear coat high gloss. Loved the result. It held up quite well against night-time Halloween activities (which included a lot of dance floor action).

We paired the lovely cobalt blue enamel, which turned out to have wonderful metallic sparkles, with florescent green to make a Seattle Seahawk inspired planter for the front deck.

I used this paint on custom on skateboards I made. The color and finish were very nice. It applied and dried very evenly. Very impressed with the quality until the paint easily peeled off after 24 hours of drying time. Even after testing the paint on a primered surface, it still peeled and flaked off. I used other Rustoleum colors and never had a problem. Too bad because I was very happy with the color and finish. I only recommend this product because a clear coat will help prevent peeling but the original quality of the finish is compromised IMO.

We recently inherited a nice patio set when our friends moved out of state. The "bones" were good, but the finish was a bit lacking... Four cans of this paint and it was looking brand new! The extra was used to spruce up an old bird bath and a few other odds and ends as well. I love the neutral colour and the subtle sparkle really adds character!

We have a Jeep with steel rims that had become chipped (off-roading) and looked really bad. This nickel metallic spray paint was an exact match! We scraped and sanded anything that would come off, then we applied a coat of primer and then this product. The end result looked as good as how they came from the factory. I'll definitely use this spray again when the rims become chipped.

Needed to restore a rusty cap and the product proved to be very useful for that purpose.

After a lot of research on gas grills with stainless steel grates, we went to Home Depot to see their selections. The customer service guy, Mike, helped us, answered our questions, and made arrangements for us to pick it up a couple days later. Best of all, it came fully assembled! After several trial meals, we are very pleased with the ease of use, the quality of the Kitchenaid product, and the price...also, we received a Military discount -thank you, Home Depot!

I refinish wheels for the company I work for, and also on the side. This paint lays down perfectly and comes out great everytime.

Used this on dresser drawer handles. Love the look off the finished product especially after spraying a glossy clear coat over it. Love the hint of sparkle it has without being gaudy. Wish it would stick directly to metal instead of having to prime first. When the drawer handles were dry, the paint would chip off if I dropped them or hit them with something metal.

I bought this color to try to match the paint on a truck. We paint the frame of the truck gloss black and try to color match the shocks to the truck. This product saves me $10 each can
