Believe it or not, I actually painted one of my old cars with this stuff, but in black. Its been 2 winters since and everything still looks great aside from a tad of fading on the hood above the engine where it gets rather warm, but its still there.No peeling, just faded. If you prep correctly, this stuff will last a long while! I even take that car to high pressure car washes and it holds up!

Great Product. It turned out beautiful and made an old rusty metal shed look new.

Make sure to get all the dirt/oil out of corners before painting. It will not just cover it, the paint moves away from the area. I used this paint for my 1940s compressor restoration. Sprayed it uncut(not thinned) from my wagner airless sprayer. Worked great! Sprayed with quite a bit of orange peel but self levelled nicely. Next is the pump and motor.

I used this paint to paint the trim around my garage doors. Oil base paint gives you superior protection against the elements that even the best latex cannot equal.

Quality paint. Sprays very easily. Recommend using the Rust-Oleum metal primer to ensure good bond and corrosion protection

For the most part I liked the oil based paint product. I wish the finish would have been more consistent, as the flat black appeared to need more mixing but I had it mixed at the store and also at home with a stir stick. I did roll it on and the application was mostly uniform, I think that spraying would have been much better. Excellent viscosity to avoid drips and aid in coverage.

On rainy day, the fence is wet and peeled too. 1 year later, The fence got rust until, I hate rust! Do not pick new ones!!!

Recently purchased an older home. So many things to do but I've had to be wise about spending. Now that spring is upon us I was ready to tackle a few outside projects. The first was my mailbox. Outside of the rust it was in decent condition, so I decided to use Rust-Oleum paint. I followed the instructions, sanded off the rusted areas and cleaned the surface, which only took a few minutes and I applied the satin paint. I must say it went on very smooth. My mailbox looks brand new.

Used the RustOleum Enamel Paint and a heavier weight Metal Primer to practice and dial in a new paint gun. I've used this in the past and love it. Sprayed canoe about 6 years ago. After seasons of use and abuse over rocks and sand, scrubbing, pressure washing and chemical baths between different watersheds, lending it out to friends, and leaving it out in the elements it still looks good. The wood (not covered in Rustoleum) rotted and needs replacement. The paint outlasted the wood. Sprayed great without thinning. Flowed out great. I was able to dial in sprayed good coat when thinned, but both paint and primer definitely sprayed better unthinned. Looks good. Nice gloss. Polishes up nice. Repairs easy, nearly invisible over aged paint. Durable. Dirt, mold and mildew easily wash off with soap and water. Resists damage from severral different solvents. Great value. For my purpose it looks as good and lasts as long as an expensive marine paint costing at least 3x as much. I've used it before and will use it again.

I used this product to repaint the fire hydrant on company property per the color code provided by the City. It covered well and appears to be holding up well to the elements.

I used this on my metal front door. I lightly sanded the front door (it had been previously painted) and put 2 coats of this rust-oleum. It looks wonderful! It has a nice glossy finish making the door look brand new and easy to wipe down and keep clean. The paint I covered was a similar, slightly lighter, brown. You can see the difference in the picture I attached. The older paint vs the nice glossy new paint (It keeps this look when dry as well). Had I been painting on top of a light color, it may have required a 3rd coat. The 2 coats on my normal size front door only used 1/3 of this small can of paint. I will definitely use this paint in the future.

I used the paint to provide a hard and attractive working surface for a mdf cover on my table saw to use it as a work table in my crowded garage. The paint applied smoothly in two coats. The resulting finish was fairly smooth, but I decided to lightly sand then further harden it by adding two coats of shellack and will finally add wax. I am quite pleased with the result.

This paint works great on motorcycle parts. This is easy to apply with a brush.

My mower deck was very rusty. I used the rusty metal primer along with the sunrise red enamel and it looks great.

Paint had amazing coverage! And perfectly matte! Very easy to apply and dried very quickly

I used this paint to make a jewelry display for farmers markets. It has a nice gloss that makes the perfect background, an has been used a few times without chipping. It may be an unusual use, but it definitely works for me!

I purchased this product before and painted an older desk for my daughter...... It turned out great ! Therefore I came back to Home Depot to purchase more of this exact same paint for another project that I will tackle in the Month of March Thank you.............. Mary C. Adams

Color match was great, coated evenly and smoothly and dried in 24 hrs. I brushed the coil over shock and the silver skid frame. Very happy!

I was told never to try and paint my vehicle myself. My 12 year old farm truck had missing paint in some areas. I used RUSTOLEUM " STOPS RUST" PROTECTIVE ENAMEL ( OIL BASED ) and painted the hood and roof. It now looks like a two-toned unique vehicle. I used disposable brushes so cleanup was easy. The paint did not have a strong smell either. The first time I didn't use gloves and got paint on my fingers but it came off easily with olive oil. It was so much fun that I'll probably paint the truck bed also. I might even do some decorating on the truck with some oil based paint markers...maybe draw some palm trees on the back.

After much deliberation, I choose the flat black as opposed to the gloss black. I wanted the turq. to highlight & give the appearance of antiquing on my diy refinishing project. From primer to top coat, the process went smoothly, & the project went off professionally. I was pleased with the application, clean-up, and the finished product looked better than I had hoped for. Using quality products made my refurbish project look professionally done! Extremely pleased with end results.

This product was thin and runny for what I needed it for. I was happy with end result.

The metal beam and sculpture in the front of the house were faded under sunlight exposure over 10 years. Red color i oil based paint gave new luster and made it look eye-catching.

This is a great durable paint. It has good coverage and can be a one coat job. It is easy to clean up if you follow the instructions and do as they request. It goes on smooth and self levels. I like the gloss on the steps I painted with it. It makes for an attractive covering and reflects the light so there are no mis-steps on the steps. It is a worthy investment in any color you need. Again I like the coverage and the ease of painting going on.

I bought this product to refinish a rusting natural gas meter. The paint goes on well and the result looked good even with only one coat.

After using this product for years, I can always depend on the quality of this product.

I watched a friend use this to paint the frame of a Jeep that he was restoring. Several months later, the finish still looks the same. You cannot beat this paint for the price and ease of use, plain and simple. I'm not advocating painting a car body with it, but it is perfect for a frame, or iron gate, patio furniture, or things of that nature.

I used both Blue and Red protective enamel paint over fresh new wood to paint the airplane swing I made for my three year old grandson when he visited us for a week from Colorado. Next summer we will drive up there and hang it in his backyard and has been designed, built and sealed then painted to withstand outdoor use, year round.
