The adjustment for the width of the spray did not change no matter what direction you moved it to, this required me to make several runs for each line I wanted to make!

That is not what we like to hear! Our Rust-Oleum Striping Machine is designed to apply 2-4" wide stripes, and the width is controlled by the distance between the spray can nozzle and the surface being painted. The adjustment is made by loosening the wingnuts on the side of the machine, then raising or lowering the spray can to control the stripe width. Very good--except, the cable was not connected properly. We had to work on it to tighten the cable to bring the "teeth" up enough to make it spray. Also, the directions didn't say exactly which way to place the paint can properly to mesh with the teeth. It took a couple of days to figure out! I also took it to a local Home Depot and the tool man there adjusted it a bit, but it still didn't work. Took it home and my nephew (a Honda mechanic) finally figured it out. After fixing it (or adjusting it properly), it worked just fine. Easy to use and accurate spray. We can use this for years. But it should come "ready to go" instead of having to spend so much time calibrating it. A surefire diagram of aligning the paint can with its nozzle in the proper slot should be included. But it perform admirably and accurately!

What I think is the paint cans that I preferred, are defective. Turning the can does not widen the stripe.

One wheel fell off in the first ten minutes and the cable had to be shortened at the can side, both a quick fix. Still give it an excellent rating because it worked very well. Very satisfied.
