I put the mower on my bench and followed instructions in the box. Also there is a great Utube video. It is always a pleasure when a product meets and exceeds expectations. I recommend the sharpening tool kit and I rrealy love my Scott's mower.

Product absolutely essential if you have a reel-mower. Personal preference is to sharpen blades every other cutting. It takes less than 15 minutes to do a thorough sharpening routine. Reel-mower cut is very clean only when blades are sharp. Double cut lawn to get the look of a well manicured golf course fairway.

Simple to use, came with an applicator brush which was a nice feature. Used it only once though, but it did what it was intended to do and my lawn looks a lot better because of the blades being sharpened.

I am house sitting for a friend this summer. He has an old fashioned reel mower that has seen better days. I was browsing Home Depot on line and ran across this reel mower sharpening kit. Ordering was easy at my local Home Depot store. I had the kit in less than a week. The instructions were clear and simple. And that rusty mower now cuts the grass like it was new again.

I have a Scott 20" reel mower that is great and gets lots of use. It was time to sharpen the blades, something I knew nothing about. This kit made it so simple - the booklet spells everything out easily for a beginner. There is so much compound I will get many sharpenings out of it. I sort of dreaded the prospect of something I wouldn't understand - that was not the case. The mower is sharp and ready to go. Thanks!

Be careful opening the sharpening container, it’s liquid and can drip everywhere

I was expecting a sharpening kit, you know, with a file customized to the lawn mower. Something that sharpens the blades. Instead, it is a blade cleaning kit.

I really like using my reel mower and now that I can sharpening easily with this product, I like it even more!!

Easy and worked well. Need to get grease down the road but not now.

The instructions are all about taking the mower apart, which is totally unnecessary, and have nothing about how the sharpening compound is supposed to work exactly. I feel cheated.

This kit is exactly what I was looking for. Sharpens the blades of a reel mower to like new condition.

Easy to use, worked great.

It works ok. I spent about an hour sharpening the blades on my mower. The blades are sharper but not by much. I was hoping they would be sharper.

We did not think it was going to work but it did. Our lawnmower now works again!
