It is not forcing the water to spread out, it is only trickling water just like any other 1/4 inch pipe without any microbubbler barb.

Advertised as self piercing but plastic spigots not sharp enough to self drill through 1/2 irrigation tubing. Requires to drill pre-hole before. Not all of them built to same tolerances. Some need to have cover almost fully unscrewed to adjust to full flow with no more thread to retain.
