I have been really impressed with all my Ryobi ONE+ 18v tools and this was no different. I debated on purchasing the HP brushless model over this one but ultimately decided to try the lower model and still have no complaints or issues with how well this tool performed on a very big job for countless hours of use.

Perfect for the project at hand
I purchased this multitool to use for several projects but primarily to cut away the door skin of a hollow door I'm patching up. The tool did the job to perfection and because I could use it at odd angles and in tight spacing I didn't have to remove the door from the frame to get the job done. I expect to use this in the coming weeks again and again as the projects seem to always reveal a new project one after another.

    Avoid this multi-tool
I trust Ryobi as all of my tools are from them and all have worked without any issues. However, this one stopped working in the middle of the second cut. No signs of a burned or sparking motor. Just stopped working. Only the light will turn on. I wasn't cutting anything heavy, just plywood back of the cabinet. I returned one thinking this one was just faulty, and got a replacement. The new unit had a same exact issue on the second cut. I decided to get different multi-tool.

Third multitool I've bought this summer! All of them run fantastic and are unbeatable in their usefulness for getting into tight spaces while sanding our 15,000 sq ft deck this summer! I bought three so my helpers can each take one home with them once we complete the job! They'll be pleasantly surprised no doubt!

Love the versatility, the attachments are lacking
I used this blade to the bitter end. I wish it didn’t break so easily

        Ergonomically correct.
Using the Ryobi 4ah battery this tool is well balanced and quite easy to use for long periods. I like that it has a trigger lock which gives more freedom to change your grip when moving about your work. Having 6 different speeds is nice but even better is how it accelerates slowly after pulling the trigger no matter what speed you’ve selected. This allows for much better control. I prefer the old fashioned chuck that requires an included Allen wrench which stores nicely on the tool. Much more to

          Worked Well with Minor Challenge
Worked as well as I expected, (though this is my first multi-tool), even though it is not the brush-less model that is claimed to have more speed & power. But I'm not a professional and do not expect to put it under high demand. The brush-less model also touts a "no-tool, blade change" which this model does not include. I will admit that as I started using it I found the blade change process to be quite inconvenient. However, when I purchased additional blades that had an open back, changing blades was no longer a big deal. If the blade change process had not been such a hassle with the stock blades, I would have given this a 5-star rating.

Solid cordless multitool tool with nice feature
Bought this to replace an old corded one. I used it for cutting drywall and was very happy with the performance. Very powerful and did not bog down when testing on wood. Great that it uses the Ryobi Ryobi 18v battery system. I like the continuous speed adjustment. It has a built in light, a lock so you do not have to hold the trigger to keep it running and convenient storage for the wrench. The body is quite long and required a tool to change attachments, but otherwise it is great.

Handy collection of wood cutting/sanding attachments
Important to note - the blades in this kit are for wood only; if you are looking to cut metal, etc. this kit may not work for you. The kit has more sandpaper pieces than actual cutting blades (see list on photo). Also - the packaging shows that these blades are "universal" and will fit most reciprocating tools, including Dremel. The blades will not work on a Dremel model MM 20. I've had absolutely no issues with the blades (and sandpaper attachment) fitting onto my DeWalt oscillating tools. The blades lock in solidly and securely. Fit and finish of the Ryobi kit is good; since these bits and pieces are considered "consumables" the warranty only covers manufacturing defects. No case is included; I was not able to open the blister pack carefully enough to allow it to be re-used. YMMV. In use the blades perform very well; the blades cut smooth and sure. They are advertised as "35% faster" but, of course, that depends upon the individual project. It's very difficult to get a true reading because each project may have different cutting requirements. I've had no problems cutting through wood - but can't attest that they are "35% faster". The sandpaper disks work as sandpaper disks are supposed to; I have no complaints on those. The "plunge depth" markings on the blades wear down quite quickly, but I don't think they wear any faster than other blades I have used. See photo. The kit, for me, is working as advertised - just make sure that the various attachments fit your project requirements.

Improved quality, Easy on/off, Convenient markings
I ordered the RYOBI 22-Piece OMT Blade Set to replace the blades that came with my Ryobi Multitool. It is a nice balance of attachments to the versatile multi-tool. The four different types of cutting blades should get me through just about any conceivable project with the multi-Tool while the sand paper backing pad and 15 self-stick sanding triangles with three different grits will complete plenty of sanding tasks in tight places. These blades are designed to fit other types of multitools and have a “universal” design for attachment. Because of that, they are different design from the attachments that came with my multitool. Happily, they are also of higher quality. Both quality and design differences are improvements. The attachment in the originals are closed circles (see photos) which require a retaining nut to be completely removed to install a blade or remove it. With this kit the attachment point is open allowing it to be attached or removed by loosening the retaining nut and slipping the blade on or off. Much faster with no worries about dropping the nut. The blades are made of a higher quality steel and three of the rectangular plunge blades have both metric and standard measurements marked, allowing precision depth cutting. The saw-tooth pattern on the blades provided with my multitool is a generic “compromise” with two different tooth depths that alternate whereas the OMT blade set provides a fine cut pattern and a rough cut pattern as well as the skinny Japanese style blade to reach into tight spaces. The sandpaper backer pad is considerably better than the supplied one and I will replace it immediately. The sandpaper triangles are the same type and quality as what I have, which held up remarkably well on a large sanding project. The 15 sandpaper pieces in 3 different grips will last quite a long time if my experience holds true. Overall, improved quality, easy on/off, convenient markings. I’m happy to have them

            Great assortment, good value
This set of 22 pieces will cover a lot of what I use my Oscillating tool for - and them some. I have a Ryobi tool, but the all items in the kit are universal, fitting a long list of different manufactures tools. The kit includes a wide assortment of blades in different sizes and number of teeth per inch. Also includes an adapter to attach small sandpaper pieces to, and also includes 15 pieces of sandpaper in 3 different grits. All in all a very well thought out kit.

I have the older multi-tool, this lacks the upgrades to make me switch using the older model
This may be biased because I am a Ryobi fanboy, but this is one of the few Ryobi products that I would not recommend. Ryobi, to me, is known for their innovation and this product lacks it. I say that because I have an older multi tool that I have used for years and this has the same blade change feature, you need an allen wrench to swap blades, as the older one at a time when other brands are utilizing a quick change feauture. Another issue is that to me the dial should have been closer to my thumb so that I could quickly adjust the speed on the fly. I used this to cut through 1/2" of plywood, I did not notice a lot of vibration and the speed control worked well to ensure accurate cuts/ it was not skipping around on the work piece. The light stays on for approx. 10 seconds after you release the handle. Another issue, I dropped the locking bolt for the blade a few times trying to secure the blade, it would be nice if this come with a spare just in case you lose it.

Compatibility with Ryobi batteries & standard attachments, Unencumbered by a cord, Versatile
I ordered the RYOBI ONE+ 18V Cordless Multi-Tool (Tool Only) after my neighbor saved me during a project in my home. I was installing a wall safe in my bedroom closet. The safe required two studs of standard 16 inch spacing for mounting. ed 16” (+ 1.5 in) to mount the 50 Lb. safe to. Our closet angles at 45 degrees to share the support studs with the front hall wall, so I anticipated the possibility of interference with how the builders interfaced the 2x4’s with the bend in the wall and backed off a considerable distance. I used a stud finder to confirm both the position of the studs I was to use as well as their width. I proceeded to cut a hole in the drywall with my Ryobi reciprocating saw. Once I had removed the rectangular section of the drywall, I discovered that the builders had tied in one of the 2x4’s to the hall wall at a 990 degree angle impeding the safe’s insertion between the two studs I had planned. My neighbor is more experienced and home modifications than me so I asked him his advice. He determined that the added 2x4 wasn’t load bearing. We quickly discovered that the reciprocating saw couldn’t be positioned in the space to make a clean cut. I was contemplating the use of a hand saw, which would have taken a half day, or perhaps an angle grinder which could have fit but was inappropriate and perhaps dangerous. He suggested he get his multi-tool which did the trick and was surprisingly quick. His multi-tool was a different brand and was corded. The tight space made the cord a bit cumbersome, but the tool was effective. Since I own eight other Ryobi ONE+ tools I decided then and there I would be getting the Ryobi cordless multi-tool. I just needed the tool-only version as I have plenty of batteries already. In arrived well packed and ready to use. So far, I have tested the saw function and have used the sanding function on an existing project. It works nearly as well as the corded version as a saw without having to tend to the cord. The corded version has more amps and can therefore cut more rapidly than the Ryobi, however, the corded version handled a 2x4 with ease in a reasonable amount of time. The sanding function gets into corners way better that my corded oscillating sander with a point on it. IIt handled the corners and joints on 9 steps in a renovation project quickly and effectively without a cord to worry about. 18V battery compatibility with my growing Ryobi collection, operation unencumbered by a cord, and versatile with a wide variety of multi-tool attachments; I am happy to make a place for this flexible tool in my shop!

            Great Tool
I've always found a good multi-Tool to be one of the most versatile power tools you can have in your shop. I've had a corded version for years, but on many occasions I've wished I for a cordless tool for projects beyond the reach of my extension cords. This Ryobi ONE+ 18V Cordless Multi-Tool is the perfect solution. This tool does everything my corded tool does, without the limits of a power cord. The tool is well-balanced even with the weight of the battery, not always the case with cordless tools. Power range is easily controlled, and at max power there's enough juice to cut easily through most materials. An LED light provides good visibility at the cutting surface. Battery run time is quite good, even with my smaller Ryobi batteries. Noise levels are about normal for this category of tool, and vibration is minimal. Two cutting blades and a sanding pad/paper is included. I'm very pleased with this tool, and highly recommend it.

            Lots of Features
I really like that the speed control can be set to zero. This is a good way of locking the tool in the "Off" position. The speed control smoothly raises the speed from 1 to 6 at the same time the trigger switch is being pressed. I like the trigger switch lock button on the side of the tool. The work light works well and stays on for a few seconds after the trigger switch is released. I weighed the tool on my scale without a battery and it weighs in at 1.66 pounds. I don't like the inner flange were the accessories mount to the tool. On other oscillating multi-tools the flanges have protrusions that the "Universal System" accessories fit snuggly into. This tool requires hex key to tighten and remove the accessories, whereas, other oscillating multi-tool are "tool-less" for mounting and removing accessories. Overall this oscillating multi-tool has lots of features.

            RYOBI Multi-Tool has multi-speeds
I like the freedom of not having to deal with cords. I also like that this tool uses the standard RYOBI ONE 18-volt battery so it is interchangeable with my other tools. Even with the battery attached, it is lightweight and balanced. It has a small LED light on the tip, which is great for dark areas, but I found a few instances where the brightness blocked my view of what I was cutting. My tool came with a metal cutting blade, a wood cutting blade, and a sanding attachment. All of these blades had a complete circle hold for attaching to the tool. This required the complete unscrewing of the Allen nut in order to remove or swap out a blade. I am used to the type of blade that has an opening on the side so you can swap out a blade more quickly. Overall, I was very impressed by the look, feel, balance, and relatively quiet motor.

Cordless Ryobi One+ Multi-Tool has many uses and goes anywhere
Oscillating Multi Tools have been an essential additional to the toolbox since they were introduced. I have used corded versions for years and find them great for small spaces or where a hand saw would take many minutes and allot of effort. They are very good for undercutting trim when installing a tile floor, quick drywall cutouts, and smaller wood cutting jobs. This Ryobi PCL430 model cordless version offers more flexibility because you can take it anywhere. It uses the OnePlus Ryobi 18-volt battery – which powers a line of over 225 tools. This is the tool only; you need to supply the battery and charger. The tool has impressive power for a battery-operated unit. The tool operates by moving the blade/pad up to 20,000 oscillations per minute and is controlled by an on/off trigger switch with a lock on features, and a variable speed dial. The built-in LED work light provides direct illumination of the work area. The multi-tool comes with two saw blades, a plunge cut blade for general use and a half-round flush cut finish blade. A variety of blades are available for specialty uses including blades for cutting metal. Also included is a detail triangular sanding pad with Velcro attached 60, 80, 120 grit sandpaper. To change blades/pad, a hex key is included, and can be stored on-board the saw. I use the plunge cut 1-inch blade most of the time, like an electric powered utility knife! The detail sanding pad can reach deep into corners. This is a very versatile tool and the freedom offered by being cordless is a nice upgrade. The tool is backed by a 3 -year warranty, and the Ryobi line of tools are dependable and durable.

I have wanted one of these for years!
I have a lot of Ryobi tools and batteries but this multi-tool is the one thing I have wanted for a long, long time but never had. This multi-tool is fantastic and has a lot of great features. It has 6 variable speed settings so you can adjust the speed to either the material you are working with or to what you are trying to accomplish with it. It has a built in Allan wrench in its base for quick change outs of the cutting tools or sanding wedge. It has a super bright LED light that is very, very bright for how small it is. There is a real nice grippy rubber material on the handle that makes it so it’s not slippery when handling it with your bare hand. They put little rubber retangles on both sides of the multi-tool so that when you set the tool down it doesn’t lay directly on the plastic housing. This same material is kind of grippy so if you lay it down on a sloped surface or smooth surface it will stay there. I have wanted one of these multi-tools for years for trimming the rotten trim around my side garage door. It has all rotted out from rain bouncing up under it and rotting it out over time. I really don’t want to replace all the trim, just the bottom couple inches that’s rotted on both sides. I also have the same problem around my two garage doors. This trim is much wider but this tool will allow me to cut these areas off and scab on a new piece on the bottom with no problems. I also wanted this tool to use as a sander. I have some rot around several of my upstairs windows from condensation ruining certain areas. I will be able to cut and sand these areas then repaint them to make them look new again. This multi-tool is pretty universal in that it can be used to cut wood, plastic, drywall, metal pipe and for sanding. I’m looking forward to finally fixing some of these projects around the house that I have put off because I didn’t have the proper tool to do them with. Now I do. If you already have other Ryobi tools and batteries I would definitely add this one to your collection. It has a lot of uses and you will be very happy you did.

            Trigger lock and Variable Speed
            - It is handy that the design includes a lock-on so you don’t have to hold the trigger while trying to maneuver the tool. The variable speed dial makes it easier to control the cutting and avoid mistakes. Wish that this tool had a quick-change process. It is time consuming when I need to change the cutter or sander out or if I want to just twist the blade to a different angle. The attachments appear to be customized to just fit Ryobi so my other blades are not interchangeable.

            Tough Little Tool
I needed a light, portable Multi-Tool for odd jobs around my new house. It sits on a 1-acre parcel so when I need to do some work, there is rarely an electrical outlet nearby. The multi-tool is very versatile and can tackle all kinds of light cutting, grinding and sanding jobs. Several times it has enabled me to get into very tight spaces and make clean cuts that would be impossible with any other tool. I also used my old, corded Bosch multi-tool to sand a whole wall of shiplap siding to remove the remnants of a dead vine and also to remove grout from a shower while prepping the house for sale. Over the years I have collected over a dozen multi-tool accessories. Unfortunately, only 3 of my old blades will fit on this new tool because this one uses a simple cross to hold the blades instead of a ring of pins. New blades are compatible with both holding schemes, but my old blades don’t fit the new tool.. Also, my dust collection attachment is also too large which is very disappointing. I haven’t found a Ryobi dust extractor, but there are a half-dozen other brands I can try - surely at least one will work with this tool. The new tool came with two cutters, a sanding attachment and 3 grits of sandpaper so it is now my go-to tool. It is so much lighter that I use it now even when working near an electrical outlet. The old tool is 3 lb. 10 oz.; whereas, this ONE+ tool is just 2 lb 10oz. With a 1.4Ah battery attached! The variable speed control dial is conveniently located on the underside near the power switch. It actually has a ZERO setting! This allows me to briefly use the tool as a flashlight without activating the motor or blade. It is a ridiculous size and shape for a flashlight, but I tend to use this tool in cramped spaces and forget to bring a flashlight when I crawl in there. Therefore, it is quite convenient to use this tool as a flashlight without starting the blade to take measurements or plan my next move. My other Ryobi tools are ONE+ HP Brushless, but this one is just ONE+. When I ordered this too, I didn’t realize that Ryobi also offers a ONE+ HP Brushless version. This tool works fine for everything I have thrown at it, but before purchasing this tool, you should also consider the ONE+ HP Brushless version.

            Coulda Been Great
I wanted to like the RYOBI ONE+ 18V Cordless Multi-Tool, especially because it's part of the "Ryobi One+" program that utilizes the same batteries for a huge selection of tools. But, at this price point, some competitor's multi-tools are better. First the positives - This one seems to have plenty of power and the 18 volt battery I used with it seemed to easily handle the drain from the tool. (This is a tool only item. You have to have your own battery.) It was well-balanced and seemed to have minimal vibration in use. It had bright LED light in the head of the tool to illuminate your work area. It comes with two blades and a sanding attachment with a couple of sheets of sand paper. It also has a trigger lock to allow you to lock the trigger in the on position for using it during an extended period. And, it had a handy storage slot to hold the included allen wrench that was needed for blade changes, which brings me to the negatives. You need an allen wrench to change the blade. Most multi-tools at this price point use a system where by there is a lever or some other mechanism that you press to release and insert the blade. With this tool, you have to completely remove the allen bolt from the tool head to install the blade. And, there are no protrusions on the head to fit into the blade slots to hold it from turning while tightening the allen bolt that has to be reinserted. The next negative concerned the variable speed mechanism. Whereas most competitors use the trigger pressure to vary the speed, this one requires turning a knob on the bottom of the tool to vary the speed. Not very easy to vary in the middle of a cut.

            Nice light vibrating multi tool
I love these type tools as they really help out in those small and tight area spaces. This one uses the 18V battery which is not supplied in this kit, but works for many other same brand tools. The tool has a speed control via a wheel setting on the side, and the trigger simply is an on and off trigger. There is a locking function for the trigger which I have shown in one of the pictures. The actual head uses a standard type cutter or sanding blade, which is common for many brands of this type tool. There is plenty of power and I am not sure how long a charge would take this, but I suspect it will get most small jobs easily done without a recharge. I really like the lightness of this compared to an AC corded version of this tool I already had. The light weight with battery of this makes this my first choice to use when I have to get into those tight areas to trim some molding or something like that. Anyway - This is a hit in my mind and it will be my first choice when those jobs come up to use. I highly recommend it to anyone needing the flexibility of this kind of tool.

Just what you would expect from RYOBI — It’s Outstanding!
The RYOBI ONE+ 18 Volt Cordless Multi-Tool is just what you would expect from RYOBI — it’s outstanding. Having never used a multi-tool before I was blown away by how useful and versatile this tool really is. It is now my go-tool tool for many of my home do-it-yourself projects. From cutting wood, plastic, drywall, metal pipes, and sanding this tool really is a time saver. My only regret is that I waited as long as I did to acquire this handy dandy tool.

Handy tool to add to your tool box
This is a handy and portable tool for doing difficult cuts or sanding on woodwork in tight spaces and for cutting into drywall to install electrical boxes and such. It is easy to use and it comes with a basic starter kit for sanding and cutting. Easy to change from sander to cutter with a small wrench that is stored in the back of the tool. It is easily controlled by a dial that can increase the oscillations from 10,000 to 20,000.

Sometimes it's the little details, like the built in key holder
I chose the RYOBI ONE+ 18V Cordless Multi-Tool (Tool Only) mainly because you don't need another additional battery and charger. Having several other of the RYOBI ONE + tools It is so convenient to just reach into my tool bag and grab the first battery I touch and it's the correct battery for that tool. I like that the multi tool is well balanced in your hand. I also like that the tool has a built in key slot so your not hunting for the key when you want to switch too another application attachment.

            Another Great Tool by Ryobi
I recently had some work done and needed to remove a piece of molding that was installed. My neighbor came over with this nifty tool that was able to cut the piece of molding neatly and made the removal of said molding quick and easy. That tool was the Ryobi 18-V Multi-Tool, model PCL430B, which is a tool only. I already have a few Ryobi batteries so didn’t need one. The tool comes with a plunge cut blade ( that’s what my neighbor used), a flush cut blade and a sanding Pad it’s 3 pieces of sandpaper. It will cut through wood, plastic, drywall, and metal pipe. It’ll be perfect for sanding in corners because of the triangular shape of the pad. It has has 6 variable speeds and cuts at a speed of 20,000 OPM. This tool is going to come in very handy for some of the projects I am going to do this summer. I would highly recommend this tool and it joins by the many Ryobi tools I already own and have been very happy with.

            Great Multi Tool
This is an all around solid multi tool made by Ryobi. Wish I had this when I redid my floors. For starters it’s light weight and easy to grip handle makes using this tool easy and comfortable. Blade and attachment change is easy and fast by just removing the screw and washer with the Allen wrench. Easy speed adjustment dial and a feature not many multi tools have is the light on top that will let you know when the tool starts over heating. Definitely Recommend.

Fifteen of the 22 Pieces are Sandpaper....
The RYOBI - RYOBI 22-Piece Oscillating Blade Set name is actually made up of 6 cutting blades, one sanding attachment and 15 sheets of triangular sand paper in various grits. The actual blades are universal attachment-types and I was able to fit them on both DeWalt and Rigid Oscillating tools. The fit tightly and they cut wood quickly. But they are only designed for wood. If you want bimetal blades or blades to cut anything but wood, this kit is not for you.

Good for a lightweight set. Nice selection of sizes including the elusive 3/8" blade.
First things first: I took off a star because there is no hardened bi-metal blade that could handle embedded nails. That's a must when doing something like undercutting door moulding in order to install flooring, because you always seem to run into a staple or nail. That said, this lightweight set is good for everything else such as regular wood, plastic or drywall. I also really like the fact that it includes the tiny 3/8" offset blade. You would be surprised how useful this is! And these are not always easy to find for an affordable price. The bonus is the sander. I broke my previous triangle sander (different brand) last summer when I was sanding wood filler in the corners of stairs. So, this piece alone is helpful. If you've never used the oscillating sanding attachment, you should try it. Super handy. Finally, I was able to install this easily on my Chicago Electric 10 year old tool. No problems at all. A Great Value
The RYOBI 22-Piece Oscillating Blade Set is a great value. The quality is what one would expect from RYOBI and the universal fitment is an added bonus. Admittedly, while I own several RYOBI cordless tools, my oscillating tool is from another name brand manufacturer, but as expected, these blades work great. Why waste your money on individual blades when blade sets are available?
