[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this trimmer for a year. I got it with my mower as a set. I've never been able to clip the handle into the base (see pic). It still works, but it's just held in place by pressure. Most of the time the string is automatically fed from the spool, but occasionally I have to take the spool cover off and pull the string out. That might be a problem with the spool string and not the trimmer. It still gets the job done though. Note, the replacement spools are less expensive on Amazon.

1.5 battery is only good for 5 minutes of use. If you have a tiny lawn it’s be fine. Light as a feather because of the small battery. Good for tiny lawns, cheaper than lawn mower.

Why should I have to fight to assemble something that should be a no Brauner? Ridiculous. Don’t buy. It’s going back tomorrow

Made light work of the weeds out by the Garden and performed like a champ. Light weight and Versatile. Edged as well as it mowed down the weeds. Able to get in and around tight spots small enough to handle easily and powerful enough to truly “eat the weeds” I would recommend this product

Weed wacker, cheap product

Used the stting trimmer 3 times. On of the tines was today. Head started smoking. Very afraid will start a fire. Called ryobi regarding replacement was told to ho to a service center 2 hours away one way from my home. Terrible customer service.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have other tools in the 18V ONE+ family so I figured this would be a good addition. It has proven to be just that. We use it around the house and both the wife and I like it. Our one before this was a corded one and that proved to be a PITB with dragging the cord all around and needing it to be so long. The one before that was an old gasoline-powered one. That thing was great too, it had more power but you also have to mix the gas for it and you had to get it started (normally easy but every once in awhile!!!). For our less than one acer property this MN: P2003VNM is overall the right answer for us.

Used only a few times that season. Decide to weed wack today. Used a full charged battery. The weed wackier spun for maybe two seconds followed by smoke and a blueish flame extending from the bottom of the weed wackier. Extremely dangerous and very hazardous .

Home Depot lists the product with 1 battery titled but a different one in the description. I ordered due to the detailed description. They don’t stand behind their error but expect the customer to take the loss. I don’t think I will order from online again . Buyer Beware.

It does the job VERY efficiently and without causes these 74 year old muscles to cramp! It’s lightweight but does heavy duty work. Battery AND string both last throughout! Couldn’t be happier so I went and got the blower too! Already have the drill and wish I had everything Ryobi One+ has in the inventory!

Today was the day and this is everything I wished for. Easy to assemble and it works great. Light weight too! It’s perfect!

Lightweight and easy to put together. The great deal comes with a battery and charger that is interchangeable with other Ryobi items. Very happy with my purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LAWD! It took me at least 30 minutes just to be able to attach the first two pieces together! Sliding the pinchable sides down into the part with the notch groove was far more difficult than I imagined it would be. In my—limited—hands-on-techy experience, if it feels like something has to be forced in order to work or be put together, chances are I’m doing something wrong and should stop to find another way. Several YouTube videos later, from multiple people, showed that I was doing it correctly, but I struggled with it so hard, my forehead started pouring sweat—and I hadn’t even finished assembling the thing or using it yet! 🤣 I wrestled with attaching those first two pieces so extensively, I almost split the plastic! By accident! It had already started to wear down into little plasticy bits and I thought ‘Oh no, please don’t tell me I’m breaking this thing, already! It just got here!’. I had to position the upper handle between my knees, while standing, and pullllllllll the two pieces together so it could fit in the “180 degrees” slots—and even THEN, there was no confirming clicking of it into place, or any kind of reassurance that it was securely in there! But, I tell you what, it’s lined up enough and I am not tugging those pieces back out again for a 6th time.🤣🤣 Putting the screws in was a hassle, as well. The instructions say to use a screwdriver, but I only had any success getting those screws in with a power tool.😒🤣 Getting to the battery part was entirely my folly—as I didn’t press it firmly down for the green light to blink. It just stayed red, and I thought it was just going to take forever to finally charge up.🤣 It didn’t; that was just “an operator problem”. Haha FINALLY, when I got it outside and put it to work, it did an amazing heavy duty job on some plants I thought would surely get it all tangled and stuck—but this light little guy kept going!! It even sliced through some hidden branches!💪💪👌👌🙏👏👏 So, that was great. My only gripe after such pleasant results was that this trimmer didn’t last for as long as I needed it to—after roughly 30 mins, or so. It just stopped working, so I brought it back in to charge the battery. Eagerly and excitedly waiting to be able to take it back to the yard today, once more. So it working practically rectifies all the hassle of assembling it. I suppose it didn’t help that I’m rather short, so getting a good grip on it was rough. Overall, and so far, this trimmer’s a winner.

The auto line feed doesn’t work very well and I probably would return the item if I hadn’t already used it! Maybe an upgraded version would be more satisfactory results but needless to say… disappointing. I was hoping they would have more accessories available to improve performance but haven’t discovered them yet if so. And I wished had received a free product for this review, but unfortunately I didn’t.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are 4 small screws which hold the deflector on. 3 screws actually tightened, the one never did so I anticipated losing it eventually. Within 20 minutes of use all 4 screws were gone and the deflector fell off during use. No clue what size they are, no indication in the manual.

Bought this as part of a combo set with a low powered blower. After one summer the switch started going out and now it frequently won’t trigger at all. Was great for that first season, but it started having trouble as soon as the warranty was out.

Haven't really gotten to use it need more string. For the small about that was sent with it,it worked well. Very light can hold with one finger and no shaky arms after use.
