This was recommended by the Home Depot employee. He was so right about this product. Excellent carpet knife. Easy to change blades without tools. Unbelievably sharp blades. Be careful. Able to hold the handle in both sides cutting towards me. And yes, I would purchase it again.

aside from needing a knife to open it, this is no better than a cheap box cutter. waste of money.

Just OK. Not sure if it’s much better than a box cutter.

Good knife. Did the job. Changing the blade was a little challenging but just because the knife was new and needed to be broken in a little. Would buy again if needed.

This is a good quality knife and the push button is very convenient. The reason I didn't give an excellent is because the knife does open and close smoothly, even after loosening the bolt. The blades that came with the knife worked and fit great, but the only spare blades I could buy while purchasing this knife were of another brand (Personna). These blades were thinner and more of a problem loading and even more so when removing. I had to use a pair of pliers to keep from cutting my fingers all up. The Roberts knife and their blades are good, but the Personna blades HD sells are dangerous.

Carpet knife was sharp and precise. Carpet has no chance of recovery.

Very unsafe knife. I would not recommend this knife. It doesn’t close completely and lock in place. Very dangerous to someone who doesn’t know how to work carpet knifed.

This blade is not as effective as a pointed blade as it cannot be pushed down into a stiff carpet to start the first puncture. Better suited for thinner rugs.
