I am glad I did my research about glue for engineer hardwood floors. Robert’s 1407 it’s a great product. Easy to clean, easy to use.

I’m sure the product does what is intended (have not used it yet) but all three boxes had glue all over them

I needed to glue down approximately 35 linear feet of hardwood flooring. Two tubes was the perfect amount!

It holds my floor together great and it didn't take long to dry.

Good product

Using this product to install Bruce Engineered Hardwood over cement throughout the house. It is adhering great to give a secure floor connection. Clean up is fairly easy with soap and water. The only issue is if it is humid or rainy on install days there is a lot more tackiness (sticky feel) on the floors and drying time is extended. Shoot for install on a low humidity day.

Used a lot more glue than we thought we would have, like ALOT MORE. Other than thought turned out awesome!

Easy clean up- great to work with

I was tired of plastic office chair pads that scratched, attracted dust, moved around constantly on my carpet and just plain looked cheap. I also tried a bamboo chair pad but that one wasn’t ridgid enough and it fell apart in no time. In both cases the store-bought pad were always a compromise in regards to size and fit. So, I decided to design and build an office chair pad using engineered hardwood flooring. To do this I needed an easy to use flooring adhesive to bond the engineered hardwood to a ½” thick MDF backer. This gave me the weight and stiffness I wanted to make the chair roll easily and the pad stay in place. The Roberts No. 1407 adhesive troweled on easily and gave me plenty of working time. I framed the chair pad with hardwood trim for a nice, finished look. I’m proud of the finished product and my wife loves it.

I had to continue some hardwood flooring in Phoenix on a home we just purchased. The previous owner laid glued down hardwood. I needed about a bucket and a half of this stuff to do about 265 SF. It works well and it easy to use. Just a 1/8" trowel and slap the boards down. It does create a very quiet walking surface as opposed to having a vapor barrier or nailing it down (nailing was not an option, laid on a solid slab). It's a little pricey and doesn't go very far in dry climates (nature of living in the desert) but all in all a great glue.

When my husband decided he wanted to have wood floors installed in the "man cave", I was a bit hesitant. I wanted nice, plush carpeting but he was going for a sleek, classy look. Really looks high end. The floors are down and they look great! It's a durable product that has made the man cave welcoming to the whole family.

Great if you have an absolutely perfect condition like a lab. Had to rip up 30sq of Bruce engineered flooring due to cupping and poor curing.. its basically junk and makes a major mess. Home depot professional told me my floor must be wet, how he figured that out without a visit is beyond me, the stain in photo is what was left after we used a heat gun to get the slop off the floor.

The coverage was far less than advertised on the product, I had to double my originally planned. The smell was okay, the flooring was going over stamped concrete smooth surfaces, the engineered wood had a built in underlay. The most chocking thing was the homedepot near me charged $155 per 16 qts and the same product was only $ 108 at a different store and online. When I alerted the store they weren’t amiable to change the price for me, so I calculated the cost of driving versus the savings and the results were that I would save money even if I drive from NC to SC to get 1 4 gallons container.

This product IS NOT soap and water cleanup. It takes turpentine to get it off the tools, and if it dries just slightly, you'll be soaking it in solvent. On the hands it's the same mess, turpentine is what it takes to get it off. I don't know how the manufacturer can say easy cleanup with soap and water. It's basically like Liquid Nails in a pail. No offensive odor, just very messy to use and clean.
