I bought these a few months ago with the hopes they would address and solve a problem in our home. We have a hole in the base of the cabinet under our kitchen sink. Because our home is built on a slab, this open hole was allowing mildew-like odors to escape into our kitchen each time we opened the cabinet doors. PureGuardian came to the rescue! we placed two of these bags in the cabinet: one on the base of the cabinet near the hole and we hung the other one from a hook attached to the inside of the cabinet door. The result? The odors are completely gone! We are so incredibly pleased with this product! We plan to have plenty of them on hand to resolve the odor problem until such time as we can afford to have the base of the cabinet replaced.

Using the Pure Guardian Air Purifying Bamboo Charcoal 3.5 once Bags not only cleans odors from areas but also reduces moisture. Each of these sacks are light weight and can be used in various locations to include lockers, closets, garages, refrigerators and pantries to not only reduce odors but eliminate them. They can be recharged monthly by leaving in direct sunlight for an hour. They have proven to be so effective that they were even able to absorb the fragrance from an oil diffuser which was located within a shoe closet, completely nullifying all smells. These have worked exceptionally well and continue to day after day.

These are the multitude of uses. They are made of bamboo fabric, filled with charcoal, to combat owners. They come in multiple sizes, I have a metal grommet so they can be hung on a coat hanger or or hung on a nail in a closet. We have put one on top of each of the cat litter boxes, several on a spot on the carpet a dog or cat had an accident on, And use them in our shoes. They absorb odor for quite a while.

I received the four pack of the small size bags of charcoal by Pure Guardian. Each 100g or 3.5oz. bag measures approximately 5 1/4 inches long by 4 inches wide and come with a grommet hole that is handy for hanging. The bags have an exterior material made of weave with a grayish tone that makes them quite stylish for virtually any decor. The internal ingredients are made from bamboo charcoal, an ingredient that is know to absorb odors while being fregrant free. I decided to try them in areas that could use some help with odors. I placed one near the cat litter box, which can get quite stinky and the charcoal bag seems to help quite a bit. A bag went in our RV where we cook a lot inside and the odors seem to get trapped inside, so far so good and the interior air seems more neutralized of any smells. I also put one in each of our vehicles to help with the musty odor of recent inclement weather and getting water inside and on the carpets. Again the smell seems to have neutralized and can smell the leather interior again. According to the manufacture to recharge the effectiveness of the bags just place them in the direct sunlight for about an hour and they will work as good as new. I have not used them enough to need recharging but look forward to freshening them up when necessary. Overall, these bags are a great way to eliminate odor instead of mask with other smells, which I really like. Plan to get some of the larger size bags for more areas of the house.

These PureGuardian bamboo charcoal bags come in a six-pack, which is really handy for locating them in several different areas that need a little deodorizing attention! I've got one in the pull-out cabinet with the kitchen garbage can, one in the pantry near the onions, one in the usually closed up hall closet and one in the master bathroom. I've even tucked one inside the return air vent, behind the main filter. So far, they seem to help keep the odors under control. And the instructions show that just a few hours in the sun will "recharge" them so they're ready to go again! The fabric is a nice, neutral taupe-grey in a woven linen look so they are really unobtrusive. Nice way to get a little odor control!

I put some of these in my basement around some of our hanging clothes to keep the musty smell away. So far so good the clothes don’t have a musty smell to them. I only had them hanging for about two weeks but we will have to see . I also put some in our closet’s to keep the clothes odor free also. I only got the larger packs and have them in smaller areas. The bag has a grommet to hang it in the area you want to keep clear of odors. The package is a nice color and is lite weight so it will hang almost anywhere and will blend in with any decor.

PROS Incredible big difference. After a couple of days our coat closet no longer has that stuffy, stale odor. The package has a nice metal ring that easily sis on a standard coat hanger. Nice that it can be reactivated. CONS Folks in the Northern latitudes might have a difficulty reactivating in the winter months, if it is necessary. Would prefer this be made in the USA.

These Pure Guardian Air Purifying Bamboo Charcoal Bags work to an extent. Depending on the size of space these might work. I think the smaller ones work really good in tight places but then again how often do you use small spaces in your home. The large rooms, ie living room and bedroom could probably use the bigger sized bags. The bags seem to neutralize of orders but don’t get rid of them entirely.

Time will tell how well these work reducing odors, dampness and “pollutants.” The bags are made of a very sturdy, woven, canvas type of material and also include a grommet eye for hanging. The active ingredient is a chemical-free, non-toxic natural bamboo charcoal which can be rejuvenated by placing the bag in direct sunlight every thirty days or so – apparently, according to the product information, each bag can be used for up to 2-years. One of the best things about this product is that it is fragrance free meaning it doesn’t just cover up odors with another smell but instead actually absorbs the odor. So far, I have placed the 5.5 X 7 inch bags in my cars and bathroom closets which are always high in humidity, dampness, and resulting odors. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and expect them to work for years to come.

I liked the look and size of it, but it didn't seem to make a substantial dent in the smokey odor coming from the fireplace.

My grandkids used to sneeze all the time when they get up in the morning sleeping with me. I have a carpet on the floor! No more sneezing!! Will order more for other carpeted areas!!

Really helped with new furniture smell

I bought these for my kitchen. I live in a condo and my kitchen is directly above the below unit and they cook with heavy spices. My cabinet under the sink was the worse with the odors. This does work well.
