This file cabinet is a substantial piece of beautiful furniture, though definitely a bit more yellow than the photo suggests. However, since other reviews noted that, I was prepared for a color change. What I did not expect was the extremely strong and toxic smell from the paint, varnish, etc. We put it in the garage for a couple of days and then in my home office with the window open. Took a good week to get rid of most of the smell.

The color shown is a creamy white. The actual item is a pale eggy yellowish color. I was very disappointed and returned it.

Heavy and well built. Packaged well. Came a bit more green than picture.

I've had this put together for a week or so now. LOVE it! Seems to do exactly what I want. Assembly instr could be better. I had "spare" pieces till I figured out where they belong. Also, wish I had the option to run the files 90 degrees from how they are hung. Good buy for the price. Printer fits nice on top.

I needed a dedicated file cabinet for my home office. This fit the bill perfectly! It is also sturdy enough to hold my printer. There are brackets that allow mounting it to the wall if there are concerns about the cabinet tipping. There was no missing hardware- always a plus. The cream finish has a slightly distressed look, with slight undertones of brown showing through. I like the French lines- it is nice to have a piece that says "furniture" rather than "file cabinet."

I actually left the drawer box out of the file cabinet and added hinges to the door and converted into a media cabinet for my dvd player and cable box. I also bought a pair of the matching cabinets for either side of it and the Provence media cabinet was too large, so this file cabinet adapted beautifully - really love the whole Provence collection - wish they were even more variety of pieces to choose from!

Not huge, but gets the job done. Great accent to the matching desk.

this is a great piece. was not to difficult to assemble. color was accurate and very pretty in person. i wish the description online described that the item is not finished on the back as we were planning on using this in the middle of a room between two chairs, but i was able to find another spot for it. Also shipping was to expensive to return. I do also think this piece was a bit pricey when compared to the size of the media cabinet and its price.

This was definitely challenging to put together. You need more than one person for sure. Also, beware that the "cream" color is actually a light green. I don't dislike the green and it's too much of a hassle to return it, but it is NOT cream. Also, one of the pieces was rough and not sanded/even.

I love this file cabinet and actually have ordered the desk as well this week. The box arrived quickly and was well packaged. The instructions were very clear and the parts/screws, etc. were easily identifiable. I ordered the green file/desk - the color is a little different than shown in the picture -more of a mint green than olive/sage but still works in my office. I wish this collection came with a matching chair.

I BOUGHT THIS WONDERFUL FILE CABINET AND ACTUALLY USE IT AS A TABLE BETWEEN TWO CHAIRS, IT IS PERFECT IN MY OFFICE WITH THE DESK AND BOOK CASE TO MATCH. WELL MADE AND VERY PRETTY! LOOKS MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE THAN IT WAS. TOTALLY SATISFIED!

The cream/white and chestnut cabinet was ordered. Unfortunately, the cream color was a pale shade of green. The quality of the cabinet was of high standard with all parts labeled and hardware in order. A call to customer service resulted in a prepaid return label with assurance that although the box indicated white/chestnut as did my order form, the wrong color was sent. Exchange is in process. Quality was worth a second attempt. I am familiar with assembly, parts, and instructions, but someone with less experience may be overwhelmed with the project.

Great style. Well made. Thank God my husband is handy and able to put together without any trouble. I would purchase again.

This furniture is solid and very nice looking, nothing cheap looking at all. it is very colorful though. It actually has a bit more green in the "blue" color than is shown online. If you like color, this is an unusual, very well made product. I ordered 2 filing cabinets to be used as end tables and the media cabinet. My dear husband, who knows how to do "everything," whipped that furniture right out--so I can not judge how long it might take the average person because he is way to good at things like this. Thanks honey!!

I am very happy with my purchase. The assembly was very easy. I especially liked how they had everything numbered so it was easy to find the parts I needed. The cabinet itself is nice and solid. I love the color and it looks great in my living room. Cannot even tell it is a file cabinet.

We bought one of these tables to act as a nightstand and loved it so much that we ended up getting another one! It adds the perfect pop of color next to our navy and baby blue bedding and has a good amount of storage for those items we don't want out on our nightstand. I'm also planning to file some of our important paperwork as well so it's always right where I need it. Great purchase, value and look!

Love the classic lines with the updated use of color. Have already purchased the companion single bookcase and plan on adding the writing desk in the near future. Affordable and easily assembled. Perfect for my space.

We've been looking for several years for another nightstand that would fit in with our antique bedroom furniture. This fit the bill. We don't intend to use it as a file cabinet, so we can't rate it as such, although it is definitely sturdy enough as a file cabinet if you use the wall attachments.

Beautiful Furniture, Impressive, Heavier than anticipated. Wood grained top is top drawer( no punn intended). The one humm! is the antique attempt. the coloration is good but there looks like each piece has been slashed with a knife at one point which is meant to mimic unequaled or worn finishing. But it looks like a slash.

Went together relatively easy. The holes for the drawer slides were not pre-drilled, but other than that smooth sailing. It is nice and heavy and the wood looks like it is hard wood. It matches perfectly with the desk and book case that I also purchased.

The cabinent was fairly easy to assemble and looks really good from the front & sides. However, we were planning on placing the unit where you could also see the back of the cabinent. Unfortunately, the back panel is made of some sort of plywood construction and with the placement screws the unit didn't look very good from the back. We decided to send it back, but if you're planning on setting the unit up against a wall it looks really good...
