These are absolutely necessary, keeps water clean between cleaning tank and base.

ProTec Cleaning Balls are essential for the care of my humidifier, especially when using unfiltered water. Buying them from The Home Depot makes it easy to restock whenever I need…ordering is quick, picking up in store is so simple and hassle-free.

I does what is advertised as to keeping the water clean. I use a new one every month and change the filter maybe every 2 months on my Honeywell humidifier. Home Depot has a good price and fast shipping or pick up! Thank you for carrying these.

This little things are amazing and great that I dont have to clean out the tank every day.

Seems to work well for about 4-6 weeks depending on how cold it is. Real cold uses a lot more water to humidify the air

These work well for me. They last at least 2 months for me. I never have to clean the water tank. I use municipal water and I think it contains a bit of chlorine. That may help. Your mileage may vary. The instructions on the tank can be confusing. It says they work in tank sizes up to 2 gallons. Some people think that means you need to change the ball for each two gallons of water you use. No no no..

I been used this item for long time they do the job and the water ,I order before winter and can a little late I think they was looking for the items and another store but I was willing to wait, I recommended the product.
