Product didn't meet expectations. Hole pattern didn't match. Drilled new holes would have results in hole overlap. Returned hinges to store. Solved problem by sanding old hinges and spray painting them.

This is not satin finished, as in the photo. But it worked O.K. in the project. I should have driven the thirty miles to buy it in a store that stocked it, instead of ordering online. Finally have the job finished.

The hinge appears sturdy and made of strong metal (1.5mm thickness). The screws are plenty long and solidly secured hinges to doors. Five(5) hinges swing freely; but one(1) had a bent pin (a spot of spray-lube works wonders). The finish is definitely not Satin Nickel. _ It is somewhat bright & polished, although poorly. I was able to obtain an acceptable "brushed" finish by rubbing the hinge against a "fine" sanding sponge to remove some shine and reduce the polish. _ Wife thinks they look marvelous, now. (as others have pointed out) I believe the finish for this item is misidentified by Home Depot. "Nickel" is written Nowhere on the mfctr's packaging for this hinge. Conspicuously, in the store, the mfctr's other "satin-nickel" items displayed adjacent to this hinge, have an honest "Brushed-Nickel" finish AND their packaging prominently states "Nickel". note: the provided sketch and dimensions may be misleading. The 1" dimension shown is actually to the inside of the hole for the hinge-pin; actually, the flat of the larger hinge-leaf is ~0.9" wide. Also, rather than the screw-holes set optimally, near the center-line of the door-thickness, those holes are "oddly" set closer towards the hinge-pin, sub-optimally closer to the slab-edge. As another reviewer pointed-out, the provided installation instructions may not be the professionally recommended method.

Chrome NOT Satin Nickel
Mechanically, the hinges are just fine. However, they are NOT satin nickel. They are chrome. I read this in other reviews assuming that simply the wrong finish of hinge was shipped. The product item number I ordered matched the product item number on the package so I received the correct product. The product just simply has the wrong description. That being said, I still installed the hinges as chrome matched my decor better than the bright brass the doors originally had on them.

Good product but instructions wrong
The instructions included with these hinges advise you to space the doors and apply them to the back side like a butterfly hinge. They are designed to be installed between the door panels work well when installed correctly. See photo by previous reviewer for correct use.

BEAUTIFUL HINGE
I decided to change all the polished brass door knobs and door hinges in the house to satin nickel. Many of the home improvement stores did not carry this non-mortise type hinge in this finish, but Home Depot did. Bravo. I ordered this item over the internet and it was delivered to the store in a timely manner. Now my house is looking good.

This is a 2 pack of hinges!
I just wanted to let everyone know that this is a pack of TWO. I couldn't find anything that said that, and my doors need 3 hinges for each door, so I WAY over-ordered. Not a problem since returns are super easy, but now the price tag makes so much more sense (considering the unattractive brass is $3 something)!!
