It works and was a great replacement. I find it frustrating though that the plastic components affixed on the ends come separately (and that there aren’t any items included to affix said end pieces to the window slider).

Exactly what we needed.

I purchased two sash counter balance. One was defective. One of the nylon rollers was not fully formed in the die that it was made in. It should have been caught during assembly of the unit. The defect was not immediately noticeable. After I installed the sash counter balance I noticed that the window kept jamming when moving the window up and down. I had to take the window out three times before discovering the miss-shaped roller. The cord would jam when it hit the section of the roller that was not fully formed in the die.

The window balance was correctly installed. The spring and the plastic end piece broke after sliding the window three times. This is clearly made of inferior materials. I would recommend buying from Swisco instead. They sell well made window balances.

As it is a good replacement, it broke while been installed. The cord just simply snapped. It might it be one defective (I ordered 4). Aside from this, is working and they do the job.

I looked all over town and all over the internet and couldn’t find them.. All wanted to sell the whole window.. I googled it one more time and there tt was on Home Depot.. I’ll say that I am extremely satisfied.

Balance was in good condition but the dimensions did not meet my needs. I searched for a unique 1 1/2-28-c and this balance appeared. The specifications did not provide enough details, so I had to order it to see, and no it was not a replacement match for my balance. So I returned it to the store.
