This range was purchased to use in a remote camp that does not have electrical service. I am quit...
This range was purchased to use in a remote camp that does not have electrical service. I am quite familiar and have a lot of experience with gas appliance setup. Setup and conversion to LP was relatively easy though the instructions were a bit confusing in places. One aspect of the instructions that caused confusion was the inclusion of setup instructions for several different models\versions. The pictures showing the location of the adjustments were not easy to relate to the actual controls. The stove top runs great with a sufficient range of temperature control. Once the range is lit (see comment below), the temperature control is fairly accurate and meets the standards of the highly qualified chefs in our camp. My only complaint is the oven pilot circuit. The pilot flame sometimes does not light - and I have made several adjustments to the pilot gas flow. When it does light, it seems to be too far from flame safety probe to allow the pilot to remain lit even after holding the control for 15 minutes. Other than pilot flame size, there is no physical adjustment to the pilot flame port nor the pilot flame safety probe. The range temperature control knob is finicky and requires finding the correct spot to be able to rotate and turn on the range.

    Good customer service
I converted the range to propane. The instructions were not accurate, and once installed I had an issue with one of the burners. I called customer service - they sent replacement parts which i recieved in 4 days. Works good now.

    Great Gas Range
This was a lilttle more than I wanted to spend. But the fact that it does not have any pilot lights AND does not require an electric hook up made it just about the only option I had for an older home. My tenants love the fact that the top surface is no longer hot and they can put things on it without them burning. Lighting is sometimes a little awkward they say, but the trade off is fine.

    Off Grid Gas Range
I really liked the idea of a stove that didn't require a pilot light nor did it require to be plugged in to ignite the burners. This stove fit the bill. The quality of the stove I got was poor. Screws were missing on the broiler door so the metal that covers the door was bent. Hardware was missing to attach the vent to the back of the stove. Unfortunately, the nearest Home Depot was well over 140 miles away. I made due with spare parts I had at the cabin. The range is really flimsy and poorly put together. The top burners work great. The oven, however, is very difficult to light. I made all the adjustments for the pilot according to the instructions but it still only lights about a tenth of the time. Once the oven lights, it works great. The stove I replaced was made much better than this stove but didn't have the battery ignition I was looking for. In summary the stove is very cheap in it construction and is poorly made especially for the price of this stove. It does work well with the exception of the oven which takes some time to light using the battery ignition.

    Don't buy it!!!!!
What a piece of junk!! I needed a 36 inch stove for a remodeling project and this was the least expensive one, but at $700 bucks, I expected a little better quality. It came damaged on the top and side, like someone took a crowbar to it, I called the company and they sent me another top. The burners are open, so all the stuff you spill will go through, the metal top is soooo thin, it will not hold up under any kind of abuse, and the metal grates are also so thin and the stove only has one hole for each grate to sit in, they move around easily. Also with the battery ignitor, it's like lighting your gas hot water tank to light the oven, no clock, no timer, nothing. This is a $200 dollar stove at best!! Has a Proudly Made in the USA sticker on it though, what a joke!!!!

    Off the grid gas range
Easy to install and change over to LP gas. Instruction manual was very detailed on how to install and convert the range to LP.

    Good Riddance!
Bought this terrible product on May 5, 2014 and it had problems. Gas would flow freely but burners wouldn't light. Called the manufacturer and after some runaround that lasted 2 days finally got the name/phone# of the authorized repairman. This repairman got the burners to light but the oven could only be lit with a match against the pilot down in the broiler drawer due to a problem with the igniter. When this was corrected the oven temp would not regulate. Setting it at 350 meant a temp of over 450 within 20 minutes if the oven would actually light. Seemed to only light one in three tries and then open the window and door to air out the gas in the kitchen. The repairman installed 3 (THREE) replacement thermostats on separate visits and all were defective. The manufacturer states that the battery pack should last over 2 years but after a short time (2 months) we were hearing the "low battery audible tone" whenever we tried to use this stove indicating the need to change the battery module. Over a three month period the authorized repairman has been here 5 times bringing replacement parts hoping to get this stove to operate properly. The stove seems flimsy and frail. If you use it in your home good luck. If it's in a rental your tenants will destroy it. We contacted HomeDepot.com before the 90 day limit and will be getting a full refund. It's been removed and a Hotpoint was installed this afternoon. We bought it from a small family business nearby. It works with no problem at all. We also saw an Amana 20" that appeared to be built very well. Too bad they don't offer a 24" so we settled on a Hotpoint. Very happy now. We learned the hard way.

      Just as described
Worked as described. Battery pack could be higher off the floor (only about 1/4 inch clearance). Quality of fit and finish was not the best but works for a rental apartment. Metal on side was crimped but was covered by cabinet. Beeping when controls turned on was a good feature.Overall a good purchase for value.

A perfect range for a small offgrid kitchen!
We are in a fully offgrid cabin with a small kitchen and this is exactly what we needed! It has 4 good sized burners that are very powerful. The burner grill covers are good quality and feel and look a little old-fashioned. The burners and oven pilot light with ease. The oven door is tight and the top burners all go very precisely from high to low. You don't even plug it in, it uses 0 watts. It also gives you an audible sound when your batteries are going low...and the batteries are easy to change, just pull out a cartridge at the bottom front of the oven. It comes set for natural gas with instructions to switch it over to LP. We converted it over ourselves and it took about 2 hours from unpacking to fully installed and lit. It's basic, not a lot of features (no clock, timer, auto clean, etc) but the features it does have (battery spark ignition, 4 full burners for a small range) are perfect for small kitchens and offgrid and it works well. We have used it daily for over a month now and are very pleased with it. It can also be easily taken apart on top to clean under and around the burners. While it is very basic, it still has an attractive look too. We would absolutely recommend it to anyone needing a smaller daily use, full range while living offgrid.

It is a basic Stove with minimal features bought for rental
We needed a 36 Inch stove where most are 30 this limited available stoves. It was dropped off in driveway not on porch and the tenants have only been able to use to stove a couple of times. the burners wont stay lit and the oven wont maintain temp. I am the contractor and just found out about this yesterday. I am working to resolve the problems but the stove wasn't shipped with directions or racks for the oven and had to be special ordered after I installed the stove. Without paperwork I will need to go back thru home depot to figure out what to do

        Good product for the price!
Checked the stove when it arrived for any damage, dings, or parts that didn't fit right and was very pleased to find everything was in working order. Installed in minutes - however - depending on the size of your connection, you may have to purchase an adapter (I reused the one off of the old stove). My favorite feature is the battery ignition! I no longer have to worry about the pilot light going out and the house smelling like gas!

        Basic, no frills as range.
This is a simple gas range but with one major advantage. The electric ignitors means I won't be getting call backs about bad, energy wasting gas pilot lights.

Little stove for small space and no electric wiring needed
This is a perfect propane or natural gas stove if you have a small space, and especially if you need a stove that runs without being hooked-up to electricity. The hidden battery pack provides the spark to light the pilot lights.

        yes and no
The product arrived after a six week wait. There are flaws in the enamel coating that may lead to surface deterioration in the future. There are LOTS of changes needed to convert from the natural gas configuration to propane....nothing serious but it takes on hour. There were parts missing (I had the bolts missing). It's a cheep, but not inexpensive, range.
