One of the bi-fold doors arrived in a million pieces. Home Depot was very good about taking the damaged goods back. I realize the shipping/delivery has nothing to do with the product itself. The door is solid wood and well constructed. We didn't like the pattern of the glass. We had hoped there was more of a bevel to the glass. We ended up ordering the Colonial bi-fold door and liked it much better.

The door is what we expected it to be. It was installed by our carpenter during renovations. No problems. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because we had been looking for a bi-fold door with leaded beveled glass. This was the closest we could find. Once painted it will look beautiful.

Purchased 2 sets for a 4' opening. One set was OK, the other had a warped panel to such an extent that they couldn't be aligned. Was not the hinges, the wood was warped. Returned to store for refund after calling 800# to complain and have them reorder another set. Doors are solid construction.

I have absolutely no complaints about the physical door itself. It is very well-built, sturdy, and quite attractive. The mounting hardware and the installation instructions for said hardware are another matter entirely. There are two components to the mounting hardware whose use is listed as optional, although there is absolutely no explanation as to why I might wish to use them or the circumstances under which their use might be desirable or useful. The track upon which the door slides is also of questionable quality. Although I believe that I followed the installation instructions to the letter and the door operated very smoothly, I have now twice noticed that the track was bent out of shape at the swivel (stationary) mounting point. This has required removal of the door , reshaping of the track to as close to its original form as I can manage, and rehanging and adjusting the door. Neither instance was preceded by any apparent binding in the operation of the door. I am at a loss to understand why the track bending has occurred twice. If this behavior continues, I would have to rate this product as not worthy of a recommendation. An additional minor annoyance concerns the closing of the door from what I would classify as the "inside.' The mounting hardware includes a knob that can be attached to one side (what I would call the "outside" of the V-shape created when the door is opened). However, we are using the door between a hallway and a room, not as a closet door that is ordinarily only accessed from one side. If one attempts to pull the door closed from the inside, there is nothing to grab onto to ease the door into a flat surface. One cannot attach another knob on the inside as it would prevent the door from folding completely back upon itself in the "open" position. My solution was to purchase a small (2") brass hinge assembly and mount one side of it on the door near the middle factory hinge. When not in use, it lays flat and is quite unobtrusive. When I need to pull the door completely closed, I merely grab the free side of the hinge assembly and use it as a handle to gently pull the door into a flat position. It would have been "nice" if some similar mechanism had been provided.

Removed the bi-fold hinges and hung opening from the center. Looks great, very good quality, heavy doors. Used in doorway between kitchen and dining room. Love them, just perfect!! Shipping was fast and the doors (all glass) arrived in perfect condition.

For the cost of the doors I would have thought the painted finish and the quality of the finish hardware would have been a bit better. Still overall, the doors are fine and will do what I need them to do. The online ordering and shipping service from Home Depot was excellent.
