I've used these T3 Halogen bulbs for several decades and they work just fine. The heat given off by these lamps is comforting when working under a cold damp house. It also makes them hard to move; if you bounce it the filament is gonzo. Took a look at those LED work lamps and the price is tempting but sticking old school for now.
