We decided this year after living in our house for 20 plus years we needed to do something about the front windows. We should have done this the first year but I guess better late than never! These window shades have kept the extreme hot days outside and our house very comfortable inside. We use to sweat if we tried to sit near the front windows. Now we feel a complete difference in the whole house. Also it has saved our utility bill this summer. I can't wait to see how it helps in the winter.

Great quality, very easy to bring down and up. Very happy with purchase. Will be buying another set for another bed room.

This shade was easy to install and very light blocking

These are excellent blinds. They fit well in our space, though we did not quite have 2 inches inside the window sill. They were easy to install and they are easy to use. Now my room is like a cave, when I want it to be!

The quality of the shade fabric is wonderful and truly light blocking. The quality of the way the product is made is very poor. I purchased two shades for a spare bedroom. After 3 months one of the shades started making a weird noise when pulled up or down, then broke on one side. So I had to replace it. Of course I want them to match so had to purchase the same. Now after 9 months the other shade did the same thing. Now I have to replace that one. These are expensive shades to begin with and now its costing me twice the money. These were in a spare bedroom and there are no children, just 2 adults and we hardly used these. I am so disappointed and so tired of wasting my money.

These shades fit VERY well in our window space. It was very helpful to be able to order exactly the size we needed. Pretty easy to install inside the window frame, but do need to drill pilot holes before placing. Very good black-out capabilities. Second set we have purchased from Home Depot and we are very satisfied with them!

These were a good value and really darkened the room. They are a heavy weight and the fabric is a high quality. However, the cording on the right inside of the shade broke after only minimal use of five months. Certainly this was too long to return, so I had to purchase another one so it would match the other window!!

I am very happy with this purchase, it is light blocking easy to push up and down and the color is a true navy blue

These shades are easy to install and look amazing in the window. They are also super simple to raise and lower. Love it that there are no cords. Makes them clean and safe. They do a good job of blocking out the light but if you want a totally black room you might need to add curtains. There is a tiny amount of light that will peek between the shade and the sides of the window. Everyone who sees them wants to know where we got them. We are so happy with these shades that we put them in every window in our house.

The blinds are a heavy material, nice quality, truly blackout, and easy to install. Note that the width measurement is true. So many blinds end up being about 1/2 inch less that what is stated. So please allow for a perfect fit. I am pleased by the quality and the room is very dark with these.

I installed these myself in 10 minutes. They block the light completely.

One of the blinds I ordered stopped working after a few months. Won't lift anymore.

These blinds look great and were easy to install. Not having strings to pull is really nice, and I really like the color too.

We bought them for the whole house. Very easy to install.

This morning the sun was shining on the window and our combination of this blackout shade with a blackout drape kept ALL the light out. We have the dark blue shade, and no light at all comes through the shade itself. A little comes around the edges, though, hence the blackout drape. The room is a bedroom, but could as well be a photographic darkroom! The shade arrived slightly damaged, with one end cap broken (needs a better shipping solution than bubble wrap), but in our installation that damage doesn't show, so it gets an excellent review anyway.

Easy to install. Installed outside window opening and it blocks out light well. Order 2" - 4" longer and wider than window size for best results.

We wanted blackout shades for the bedrooms in our new home. We were able to buy shades for one of the bedrooms from the local store. But we wanted a special color for the other bedroom so we went to the Home Depot on-line site and found what we thought would work. The shades were even better than we expected them to be.

These shades were very easy to put up - went up faster than getting the box open! They make our bedroom so dark I sleep all morning now (not always a good thing) - but that's why we got them. Definitely recommend them for keeping a room dark. If you want light "filtering" these aren't for you. They up-down mechanism works very easily as well - no cords to get tangled and lopsided. All in all well worth the price.

I am beyond happy with these shades. I purchased three of them for the bedroom. They are very good looking, well made and do indeed blackout the light. In addition, they were very easy to install. A great product.

These blinds look great and really darken the room! They were easy to put up although I needed to drill different holes in them due to odd casings in my windows. Love the look!

The cellular shades were simple to install. They seem sturdy and the extra width helps with insulating the window. They are good at blocking the light out of the room. Plus they are attractive. I liked them so much that I ordered some for my other bedroom.

I do wish there were a few more length choices and color choices. The color I got was darker than the picture looked; but I was fine with that. Love the cordless shades. I have bought several others in the past. Thankfully, you had lots of width options, so it fit perfectly and looks nice.

I am more than pleased with the quality and price of this product. I had previously purchased two other shades at Blinds-To-Go, I paid more than twice the price for the same size shade and the quality is not as good as the shade I just purchased from Home Depot.

Bought these blackout shades after having new windows installed. They were easy to install and they are a nice rich brown color. They do a good job of blocking out the sunlight - just make sure that you have proper measurements for your windows. The shades should extend to cover the entire window opening for maximum blackout effect.
