The black out feature is good. I ordered 5 shades of the same width, and received 5 different sizes. The first 3 broke after. 5 months, the cord mechanism, I am now on number 4 & 5 and will see how long they last. Home Depot would not refund my money after 3 months, I was out $222.

This is the 3rd "Cordless Blackout Cellular Shade" we have purchased and really love them. The other 2 were only 31" wide, this one is 62.5" wide. Only reason I can't give it 5 stars is there should be TWO handles at the bottom to raise or lower the shade. TWO handles would make it much easier to raise/lower due to the width and weight of the shade. Otherwise, this is an excellent product and will continue to replace the slatted blinds in our home with these.

I think the blackout feature is true. Between the 6 shades I purchased, needing two, they were all cut to a different width then the 44" I had ordered. After six months of using them, both of the internal cords broke and Home Depot will not honer a return after that time frame.

The shades are great. Our living room window is west facing so the sun can be blinding and hot in the afternoon/evening. I read reviews for several blackout shades and these had the best ones--and they're right. Our living room is like a theater now! The only light is at the 1/4" gaps between windows. The price was great too--I was expecting a lot worse for a 72" shade.

These blinds are amazing deal! The go up and down very easy! Very stylish. They work great, and installed without a hitch!

Everything is as advertised. We've had it installed for a month or so now; it blocks out light and is easy to raise and lower. It looks as good or better than the pictures as well.

My brother installed this for my Mom's home.. We ordered a smaller on previously and are happy with it too.
