Planted in spring over red nc clay with a skim of fertilized potting soil. The area is in direct sunlight. I didn't expect it to survive.it sprouted in three weeks. I waters twice a day for five more weeks. We have a lush, full, green lawn that lived through the summer heat. Me d Sept, still looks great. Also received order quickly.

Prepped lawn bare spots with Black Kow compost, vermicompost, seeded, and rained everyday for two weeks, but no grass.

After new leech field, prepped ground, fertilized and watered daily. Nothing after 10 days+

This is the 2nd time I used centipede seed and not 1 blade came up did exactly what they said and nothing 45 bucks out the window fescue seed works good going to see if they will refund me since product doesn't work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pennington is a great brand first of all. They make superior lawn products that work well in all kinds of conditions. What I especially like about this grass seed is the mulch included that keeps the grass seed moist and covered. I've used Pennington products prior to this, but not this particular grass seed. Centipede is mostly what we have in our yard and I'm using this to cover bare spots. It's a great seed and superb product for my needs. Highly recommended.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband was excited to try this seed and mulch combo. We have two over zealous American Bulldogs that play hard and the female, bless her heart, loves to DIG! Needless to say, we had some large bare spots that needed major attention. My husband raked the soil first, broadcast the seed with a broadcaster, raked it into the soil and watered it. Nothing too terribly hard or time consuming. Fast forward to 10 days later and we have tiny seedlings popping up. Ok, it does not look like a golf course yet but we have high hopes! We live in north Florida so for sandy soil this stuff works great.

I followed instructions as best as possible for soil preparation, sowing the seed, and keeping the soil moist. The seeds sprouted in about 2 weeks, less time than I expected. I planted sort of late in the season, mid June, so had to contend with some high heat and lack of rain. I watered the planted area thoroughly once a day on days in which there was no rain. Am VERY happy with the results, though probably should have planted a little thicker. The moisture retaining mulch in the mix seems to have been a very relevant factor in my final results.

Using Pennington Centipede with mulch made my grass growing project easy and very successful. With the excessive rain and care given the results were very favorable! This is the only brand I used on my front lawn and I am so glad I did! Thanks, Pennington!

Over priced. I follows instructions and no sign of germination. It’s been 7 days

The seed has weed seed in it. It should be a crime to sell this product as seed!

Stay away from this product, I felt ripped off. I can guarantee that for every 100 planted seed, maybe only five grew, I followed the instructions in the package but it was worthless.

I followed the instructions on the packaging, but after 30+ days of watering and waiting, I've seen no grass even sprouting. I was really hoping to avoid having to look into sodding my yard, but it seems like the cheaper option didn't do anything.

I put this down according to the instructions. I made sure I did not work, walk near the area's that I put it down. Its been two months since I did this little project. Still nothing

The Centipede seed + mulch was used on new soil in Dothan Alabama lawn. Very little of the seed germinated after planting in May 2022. It was a dry spring and summer, however.

Did not germinate it was a waste of money

Followed directions to a T and have yet to see any new grass pop up after 2 weeks+

Still have no growth. We water daily.

Planted and watered about 2 weeks ago. I don't see any new growth. Used 2 bags worth about 100 bucks without seeing any results. Maybe it takes longer but would think some new growth would be visible
