The worst
I ordered 4 of these plants and all of them died! I 'm now reluctant to order any more pants from Home Depot but I have never had this problem in the past with my order.

Various Butterfly Bushes
I have no idea what color or which bushes I have received. All the tags where in the bottom of the box and none if my plants where individualy marked. I wanted to plant alternating colors. Its upsetting .

Hello Rachel - We are sorry your plant did not meet your expectations. During the winter months here in southeast Michigan, we keep our shrubs in cooler greenhouses where they go dormant. This dormancy usually lasts from November to April at our greenhouses. During dormancy, plants go inactive and conserve their energy for the next growing season. Attracts Butterflies But Doesn't Support Them
This plant is reliable for attracting butterflies, but it's deceptive. None of the native butterfly larvae can eat it. This hybrid cultivar has supposedly been developed to be non-invasive, but I'm suspicious. One of its parent species is widely invasive both on West Coast and much of the eastern US from southern CT to about northern GA. There are tons of better choices to plant, plants locally native that both support butterflies with nectar and with foliage the caterpillars can eat.

Hardy
This plant is hardy, and one of them started blooming right away. The other one hasn't yet - I've had them for close to a month - but it is healthy. They aren't as full or as sturdy looking as I expected, but as I said, they are hardy and healthy. Pretty purple flowers on the one.

I bought 5 butterfkt bushes for my house, the plants arrived in good shape. I was lazy and did not plant them for 2 weeks, by that time they were in bad shape which was all my fault. However, I got them in the ground and within 1 week they were thriving again!! I planted them in April and by the end of May they had fresh blooms. They have quadrupled in size since then! Definitely recommend these plants!

Lo and Behold Blue Chip Jr
Love these. This is the 2nd one I bought, different color. Healthy plant, doing well despite packers cramming tags on top branches instead of side of box that caused a lot of broken limbs in top but recovering nicely, just careless, unnecessary setback.

Not doing as well as its ruby chip sister plant. It was much smaller than the other when it arrived. Maybe next year it will catch up.
