This product takes 6 AAA batteries.....it does not hold much in the way of peppercorns......it is difficult to open and close to add more peppercorns........it is not very user friendly......but it does look nice and when the button is pressed to grind the pepper, it is quick to respond and easy to dispense. If you don't use it a lot, it would be fine for the occasional use.

The nicest feature of the electric pepper mill is the fact that you can grind at three levels, fine, medium, and course. I like the course grind best for most of my cooking and it is not often you can find a mill with course grind. It is powered by batteries, not an electric cord. The only negative is that it came with a small chip out of the base that holds the peppercorns at the point of connecting to the top. It doesn't affect the functionality, but it raised some question about the durability of the plastic base.

I would not recommend this product. After using the product and putting it back on the table the next time you try to use it you find salt on the table that dropped from the unit. It's messy.

I lover pepper and have many grinders in all price ranges. These, however, are the best I have ever used!

This product is really nice looking and easy to use. The best part is how easy it is to clean. I was not expecting such a well made product for the price. I'm very happy with the value! This is not the first electric grinder I have purchased, but this is the best one I've found so far. I love the fact that there are 3 settings to choose from so you can decide how fine or course the grind will be.

The pepper mill is for my elderly mother whose hands are not as strong as once were, so a battery powered mill was called for. Unfortunately the pepper mill is really hard to twist open, which is required for refilling and changing batteries. Adjusting for coarse-medium-fine grind is also kind of difficult with the sliding selector. The section where the peppercorns go is really small so will have to be refilled often. My mother feels that it will be OK, but I'm not so sure.
