Great stake length, went into Spring softened soil like a knife through butter. Holding the post quite well even without attaching with nails or screws, but that would be even more stable.

Easy to use
We got this to use with a 4x4 post for a bird feeder. It was easy to drive into the ground. It holds the post very well.

Worked for me
Was easy to mount the 4x4 for the mailbox. Was easy to pound into the ground. Need to have the right ground though. I don't think it would work in sandy areas.

Good alternative to concrete, really quick
This will provide a stable foundation for your 4x4 post. Just cut a small piece of 4x4 (longer than the frame) to use for hammering, and then pound the anchor into the ground with a 2.5# hammer. Be sure to use a level to maintain vertical. I am using it to shore up an old wobbly fence. The hardest part was lugging the 4x4 home on the roof of my car.

Easy to get in the ground and easy to install the post. Although I completely buried mine in the ground, not thinking (duh) and of course had to remove some dirt to insert screws to hold the post but hey all is good.

SSTURDY ANCHOR FOR MAIL BOX
Product works as expected. It is strong and directions are easy to follow. However, you have to supply YOUR own lag bolts. I see no excuse for not supplying the necessary hardware. Even without the bolts the product is a good value and I do recommend it.

Great item for installing mailbox post where you do not want to use cement. Wish it had been a store stocked item, but waiting a week to get into store not too long a wait.

Inexpensive and does the job it's intended to do. I used this steel stand to hold a 4" x 4" upright in the ground as a base for my mailbox.

Didn't Work for My Situation
I placed this on my 4x4, but had to stand on a small step ladder to sledgehammer it in. It went a few inches in, then stopped and started twisting, no longer pointing at the road. I had hit several rocks. I dug some out, the hole was about a foot deep and tried again. The same thing happened. I noticed the spike end metal was twisted inwards. I got frustrated and cut off 1/2 the spike, put in the ground and used cement to anchor it. The anchor was around $28 (it was a gray color, not this black one, but couldn't find it listed), so mostly wasted money.
