It's hard to know which products to use when redoing a home that's over 100 years old. Spaces are not always easy to reach or normally configured. We used unfaced batts to insulate hard to reach spaces that roll insulation was difficult to maneuver with. It provided easy application plus the sound deadening that we needed. We intend to purchase more as we continue renovation. Would definitely recommend this product to DIYers like ourselves.

Unfaced r13 was awesome for my basement project. Great price when bulked

There were 11 pieces of insulation in each bundle. The insulation was very easy to cut and rip to form the exact sized pieces you need.

Used it throughout my attic space and walls perfect length

Our garage had an open ceiling - and we were looking for a way to keep it cooler in summer, and warmer in winter - after checking on costs for spray in foam, or having a company come in to insulate, we decided to try just placing the unfaced batts in-between the rafters and doing the work ourselves. using the unfaced batts prevents any moisture problems - - - we were able to easily push the batts in between the rafters using the brush end of a broom! the temperature difference was noticeable by the end of that day! Easily done in a couple of hours - - and very inexpensive compared to ANY of the contractors charging for this kind of work!

The insulation was cut to the exact length and easy to install. All that was required was a staple gun.

Used this for some exposed garage walls. Definately noticed a comfort and noise difference. Easy to cut as well.
